Ah Spider-Man. The man who was bit by an experimental spider and gained special powers and the ability to shoot a web. The X-Men also mutants only of a different sorts and there are a few of them that team up to beat evil. What do you get when you put them together? This game!

Graphics 7/10
The graphics in this game are definitely not what would make you want to buy this game but are not bad either. I think that with a little more time and effort the art team for this game could have made it look better (and probably made the sprites a bit bigger too!)but they are nothing compared to the games difficulty.

Sound 4/10
This is in my opinion the worst part of the game. The sounds that they make when they jump and land sound fuzzy and when they talk you just want to close your ears and scream. Overall this is the part of the game that made me have to give this game a lower score than it really should have gotten.

Game play 7/10
The game is really fun to play at first,(What Spider-Man game isn't?) but once you get past the first level of the game and are forced to choose an X-Men level you will get very frustrated. Once you make it to this part you will choose from Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Gambit, and some more Spider-Man levels. The difficulty of some of these levels though is horrible. Take for instance the Wolverine level which has you running away from a rampaging Juggernaut. It was a horrible time for me, almost to the point where I wanted to quit the game. However once past Wolverines stages you will be able to have a lot more fun with the game. That is the point of playing games, for the game play right?

Overall
I would have to say buy this game if you are at all interested in Spider-Man or the X-Men. You should also put purchasing this game on your list if you like side scrolling action/adventure games. The only real downside to this game is the sound, which I think most of us can get past. So to recap everything I have said, the graphics are ok, the game play is good and pretty difficult, and the sound is horrible in my opinion. If you are looking for an ok game and not expecting a whole lot from it then this game will satisfy your appetite.
