Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV

"A clear classic that you can play right on you SNES"

Romance of the three kingdoms IV wall of fire is a historically based strategy game made by KOEI. ( perhaps my favorite game company of all time ) The game is based on China from about 150 AD to 250 AD. It is sort of like a history class if your Chinese.... only it's a video game!

Okay I'll get to the review now.


GAMEPLAY: 10

This game is very fun and innovative with lots of possibilities such as which ruler you will pick to control ( ie. Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Lu Bu etc. } or you can create your own ruler and subordinate officers by determining the characters name, age, sex, stats ( Power, Intelligence, Charm, Politics and Lead ) portrait and whether the character is related to other created characters or not. In the game you can acquire new officers from war and from recruiting them too ( Doesn't usually work unless officer is in your jail for a while ) I rate Romance IV's gameplay 10/10.



SOUND: 10

The sound in Romance IV is great! The background music is excellent and the sounds are reverent to what you do like, if you are in a duel and you attack the other officer you here a ''clanging'' noise. As I said the music is great it is very clear and has a way of basically ''telling you'' the situation. The sound is great. 10/10.

REPLAY ABILITY: 10

This is very simple....... you are defining history! and if you don't like that there's a fictional mode too. And as I said you can choose pretty much everything in this game so every time you try to stop playing you won't be able to, and even after you beat it you'll probably want to play another three or four times just to get everything that you can out of this masterpiece.


FUN: 10

Romance IV is one of the fun nest games that i've ever played and I think you'll agree if you play it too.

RENT/BUY?:

Buy. Simply because of everything that makes up this wonderful classic from KOEI. It's good for people interested in History, Strategy games, or just taking over a full country!

Once again this game is excellent...... I don't know how many times I can say that....
