"Hey, it's Vegas at home!"
It's just like when you go to the real Las Vegas, except it's faster traveling and there is a wide variety of casinos to choose from that fit how much money your willing to spend. Theres even a casino for high rollers. This game gets real addicting just like regular gambling would but its great because it's more fast paced and easy to use.
The goal of the game is to get filthy rich before you leave the great Las Vegas. You have a bar at the top right corner of the screen that always tells you how much money you have, if you go beyond the digits you win the game, but...if you go into the negatives you'll be stuck without any money, can't fly back home and the game is over.
Every time you start a new game you go with a party of five and you choose one member from your party to go along with you. This friend of yours will help you and gives you tips whenever you need it. So even if you don't know a thing about gambling, you'll still have a fun time playing and learning (because you'll never get kicked off a table, in fact, you can take as much time as you want and not even know how to play and you still wont get kicked off).
There is also a multi-player where you and a friend go together, and can give money to each other and help each other out or go separately at the same game.
Something else great is that you can bump in the people as you go along the way; and to keep it more realistic, they are able to cheat you or help you out. Whatever you choose, is whatever the outcome. They all have different personalities so you will have fun with every guy you meet no matter how weird lucking or dumb they get.
What I think is neat is the fact the you can use the SNES mouse as an alternate instead of the regular SNES controller. Whatever you find more comfortable will do. I think its easier with the controller, but hey, that's just me.
Overall I think this game would make a good gift for any gambling fan. The cool thing is you don't lose any real money. And you can save your current stats whenever you want for later play. Heh, this game is even good for starters are people who'd like to learn, or even, underaged people who can't gamble!
