"This game would be a better job for a trash compactor than a game machine"

Being a big Mario fan (I’ve played through 2 GBA Mario games, 2 SNES, and 2 N64), it seemed natural for me to pick up this game and try it out. I expected something fun, but, with Nintendo Gamecube and PS2 out, I really wasn’t asking much. It was more like a cosmetic event for me. I never even knew this existed so maybe, there was a chance that I had missed one of the best SNES Mario games! *sneer* So I take out my game machine from the dusty attic and put this game in, then hook it up onto my big-screen TV.

Big mistake.

The only good comment I can make about this game is that I’ve seen worse. Every aspect of the game appeared to be horrible, the whole game was thrown together at the last second. No wonder I’ve never seen anything about it.

Gameplay:2/10
The only reason the gameplay gets a 2 is because the game actually works. Other than that, there not much good to say about this. Yours start out as Luigi and for some reason, has an urge to run around all over the place to retake artifacts that Bowser has stolen. But its nothing like the old Marios. You have to answer tedious multiple choice questions, which you can do by trial and error in order to pass a level. The worst part about it is that YOU CAN NEVER DIE. That’s right, you cannot be killed! The boss fights were basically the same boring thing,. You will not be killed, so you could just go again and again and beat the boss by chance. That means that you can run anywhere and still live, so what’s the point of this?

Graphics:2/10
The graphics ere most certainly tossed together at the last minute. Many.. nay.. almost all SNES games have better graphics. Characters are on the whole blurry, and lack texture. The background repeated VERY often. I mean every two screens the background repeats.

Sound:2/10
Not much to say here, but the sound is lacking. There are few sound effects, although they are acceptable. No voice, just words at the bottom.

Replay value: 1/10
A once in a lifetime experience... the bad one... you wouldn’t want to experience this a second time in your lifetime.

Value:1/10
Education and Mario do not go together. Nintendo is making a mistake in releasing this game and damaging the Mario image (although this game is not that well known.)
