"Definitly not the typical game"

Well I will start off by saying that I recently ordered this game because I remember playing it when I was younger and I wanted kind of a flash back. I played it for the first time in 6 years and it was like I remembered it, incredibly lame and not very ordinary and relatively pointless, and yet somehow sort of fun.

Graphics 6/10
The graphics are by no means good but not the worst I have ever seen. It would have been lower but the animation is smooth and the character details are not bad either which made the score slightly higher.

Game play 7/10
Like I said the typical Donkey Kong fan or the hardcore action gamers will not like this game more than likely. The game play is straight forward it is just a start from the beginning and get to the end of the level, by no means difficult. This game does not require a great deal of thinking, the few puzzles they have in the game are very easy to solve and the items needed are also not hard to find. The main elements in the first few levels is you jump you fall down you kick a turtle and a crab and then you reach the end of the level. The level variation could have been better but the levels have a similar feel but they do not all look the same. But there is no save feature which is a definite downfall.

Sound 5/10
The sound effects are one of the down falls of the game. While some are funny when Lester gets scared and makes strange noises it is moderately humorous. But the sounds basically are the funny noises he makes when climbing and the verbal statements like ''No!'' when approaching a new hazard and the sound of him kicking stuff. All generic but straight forward but as I said too simplistic. The music is not the best either but when you play it you don't notice it much anyway.

Re-Play value 4/10
There really are not special secrets of anything that keep you playing after the game is completed so most people after they see the levels may not play much again.

Rent/Buy
Well you cant rent it anymore in most places so go ahead and buy it if you see it somewhere. I only paid 3.99 for my copy so if you don't like it your only out a few bucks.
