"Haiya!"

One of the last games made by Technos Japan Corp. for the gaming market, it was released for the Super Nintendo console (Super Famicom console in Japan and in Asia). What makes this game different from other existing Double Dragon games is that of the Rage Meter. When used, it'll charge up and depending on the percentage that it's been filled up, you can use some types of moves that can use on the enemies and the bosses. It's a shame that the ultimate Double Dragon move, the hurricane kick, can only be accessed if you fully charge the Rage Meter. That's what makes this game cool and rad.

STORY:

Following the triumphant success of rescuing Marian and recovering the Rosetta Stones from previous incidents involving the Shadow Warriors, Billy and Jimmy Lee have apparently went into hiding from the public eye and have not been known about their condition ever since, leading to rumors that they might have either been killed or taken captive by criminal or terrorist groups. Taking advantage of this, Duke and his gang has since brought lawlessness, injustice and crimes against innocent civilians in the abscene of the Lee brothers. Responding to the cries for help, Billy and Jimmy has decided to end their self-exiles from the public and has come to the rescue of the people and end the terror that Duke has brought to the city.

CONTROLS:

The only addition here from other Double Dragon games is with the Rage Meter. You can just press either the Left or the Right Trigger to charge it up and when you're done, press some of the buttons such as punch or kick to launch some fierce and deadly moves. And like I said, you can only use the hurricane kick, which is considered as the ultimate Double Dragon move, only if you have charged the Rage Meter to 100 percent. As for the rest, it's the usual.

AUDIO/VIDEO:

For the audio, it's pretty well, not to mention good. Sounds like the music from the old Double Dragon games have been remixed to fit the Super Nintendo game itself.

REPLAYABILITY:

I would say that it's a little long to complete. You'll be killed in action (or KIA, to military types there) to the enemy several times at first if you don't learn the pattern. But once you do, you might complete the game in a few days instead of a few months, just like what happened to me when I played it.
