"Yuu Yuu Hakusho has turned into a Street Fighter game...?"
If you want to know more informations about what Yuu Yuu Hakusho is about, try reading my review on the first Yuu Yuu Hakusho. Now, i'll make the review short and simple.
Namco has decided to change the basic formula. Yes, it's a true fighting game. Yuu Yuu Hakusho is more of a mix between Street Fighter and Dragonball Z Botouden series. Unlike most Dragon ball fighting game, characters can't really fly or perform a ki blast. That makes sense! This is a good news, especially to those who are confused with the first game.
Characters have some Street Fighter moves, as well as some special moves. The game was quite old and i have forgotten the special moves. If you want the moves, go to www.gamefaqs.com and search for faqs.
The animation is smooth and characters are very well-detailed in sprite based. The game plays at a fast pace, with very little load times. Control is responsive and the moves are quite easy to execute. The special moves are a great visual and you can expect the music and sound to be equally great. The story is the same as the first game, except that the fighting style has changed.
Overall, Yuu Yuu Hakusho 2 has lived up to its hype as a sequel. The gameplay is different this time but it's still fun. And, i'm sure more people will like it.
