"The Most Boring Game Of All Time"
Holy crap! And I thought Pilotwings 64 was boring piece of trash! Mario is Missing makes Pilotwings 64 seem as exciting and cool as the Matrix! In my opinion this is one of the worst games ever to grace the SNES. I rented it once, hated it, and took it back within the hour. Why did I do such an act you ask? Well, keep reading and you'll find out why.
Gameplay 0/10: When you first hear the title, ''Mario is Missing!'', you might get the impression that this could actually be a good game. Well, to keep things simple, this isn't a good game. In fact, it's what one would call a ''bad'' game. First of all, it's educational, which guarantees that it's bad. Second of all, you can't die.
Third of all, this game is way too hard for kids of its intended age group. The control's okay, but it's not enough to keep this title from receiving a bad review.
Challenge 6/10: Even though you can't die, and the bosses are incredibly easy, this game could prove to be too hard for the kids who play it. I mean, this game was supposedly intended for kids the ages of 7 to 10, but come on. The questions in the game are like something you would find in an eighth grade textbook!
Story 0/10: MARIO IS MISSING!!! No one's quite sure how, but he's gone! Now it's up to Mario's intellectually superior sibling, Luigi, to save the day! What a terrible story.
Graphics 1/10: What can I say? The backgrounds are repetitive, the character sprites are ugly, and everything else in the game doesn't look much better. But I have seen worse on the SNES.
Sound 0/10: If there's a redeeming quality in this game...it's sure not the sound! The music is for the most part the same throughout the whole game, and all of the enemies sound the same when you kill them. The audio is quite inadmissible.
Playtime/Replayability 0/10: Why would you even play this game in the first place? You'll probably get bored of this game before you even put in your SNES. I'm just kidding! You'll probably get bored of this 5 minutes AFTER you put it in your SNES!
Rent or Buy? It's too boring for someone to rent. It's way too boring for someone to buy. Well, I guess if you're one of the 2 people in the world that enjoys bad educational games, then you might want to purchase this tedious pile of Oompa-Loompa excrement.
Playing Mario is Missing is even more boring than than sitting in school for 7 hours. I truly hate this game. The only thing I learned from this educational title is that it is impossible for the average American to enjoy learning games.
