Captain Tsubasa 4

Being the hardcore Captain Tsubasa fan that I am, one of the greates in GameFAQs probably, I should be easily disappointed should the game be bad in the slightest.And I'm fairly critical. This game can be so fun, and it comes from such a good anime. Tsubasa, Hyuga, Misaki, Misugi, Matsuyama and Wakabayashi are here to win or win.

Graphics: 10/10. !!!! It is Truly unbelievable how the SNES could support this! smoothest animation i've seen in this system, Incredibly Astonishing definition and the game looks like Anime. This game is truly a graphical masterpiece. pleasant for the eye, attractive and inviting to play. TECMO never disapoints in graphics.

Sound: 10/10. Ahhh..... This game's music is simply one of the greatest soundtracks in the history of mankind, probably only surpassed by the heavenly music in Captain Tsubasa 2. the soundtracks fit the team you're playing, the CPU's team, and the general athmosphere of the game is created almost single-handedly by this game's music.

Gameplay 10/10. You're mixing a great Anime, an RPG, and sports. if there's any way to make this fail other than Captain Tsubasa J, I don't know it. HOW could it go wrong? it is 3 of the best things altogether. they're like Burgers and Ketchup. Meat and Potatoes. Pizza and pepperoni. They go together so well, it almost guarantees success.

Replay Value8/10. it's repetitive, let's face it. but you get 4 different endings going through different matches learning new shots so you can use them on your next time through, and it makes the game nice to play at least 3 or 4 times over, not counting when you want to play it all over again just for the fun of it.

Story DEPENDS. if you know the series, it's very, very good. if not, it's nice to see through. if you know japanese, cool. if you don't, bleh. If you DON'T know the series and you CAN'T read japanese, then you can just watch sequences and have great fun. Of course, if you can read japanese AND know the series, You are in for an amazing joyride, my friend.

Rent or buy? Captain Tsubasa fans, a must-have. non-fans, Heavily recommended. if you hate the Genre, rent first.
