Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge
Review by evax01
"Prepare to be blasted away..."
The super Scope, one of Nintendo's products for the super nintendo was an odd and very big device. Rememeber the famous NES zapper? Well think no more.. the super scope was massive and took alot of batteries to work this thing. However in the end the device works like a charm. Anyways, let's talk about the game..
Metal Combat: Falcon's revenge was one of 9 super scope games released in 1993. It was an offical sequal to battle clash.
Story: 10/10 It has been years since your battles in Battle Clash. The heros in the ST (Standing tank) Falcon has returned. This time a brand new battle games has appeared and you must battle your way to defeat all your opponents. However there is must more to the games than the eye can see.
Gameplay: 10/10 This game is really simple to play. You must use the super scope to play and it must be turned to turbo to make it work properly. You start with a training session to get used to the falcon. You have 3 levels of charge. If you want full power, you are able to release the ultimate attack : The Treble charge which will punch a hole through your opponent defense and might show the weakness of your opponent. You also have many differnet types of items like the bomb, the disrupter beam, the shield and so on. There are many kinds. However you can only hold up to 4 different items.. Here the layout Gun-Bomb-Item#1-Item#2
If you have more than the items they will be put into reserve. You can't select a new item until you start a new battle. To select a item, you must push the ''cursor'' button and push fire to make it work. However be careful when using some of the items czu if u screw up, it would be a waste. Good thing after you receive the item, you will get a descriptipon on how to make it work.
Graphics: 10/10 For a snes game this game has excellent graphics. You can see everything clear. The monsters are detailed well and the powerup effects are great.
Sound: 10/10 This game has excellent sounds as well as voices. Well only in some parts.
Overall: 10/10
This is a rare snes game and if you ever find one, buy it! It will keep you hooked up. If you beaten the game, you will unlock some new secrets including a new story mode with a brand new ST. However the ST is much weaker but packs a more powerful punch.
