"Not one of the best Mario Titles"

I wish I could stick up for this game more, since Mario games are usually my favorite, but I just didn't understand the concept. I've never thought such a reliable character could be in such an average game like this.

Graphics: 10/10
I must say, the best part of this game is the graphics! For it's time, it had such a nice color and shape. Nothing could beat it. Characters seemed bigger and clearer than in past Mario Titles. If anything would draw you into a game like this, it would have to be the outstanding graphics of it's time.

Concept: 1/10
The concept of this game could make a grown man cry. The concept wasn't bad, but it was just pointless. When you buy a mario game, you expect a lot of action! This game just didn't do it. Some parts of the game left me wanting to kill the character, but I couldn't find a way! Yes, that's right, there was no way for your character to die! Anyway, the concept of the game was to find Mario, who is missing. You search around the world looking for mario. At every town you go to, a landmark has been stolen by a Koopa. If you return the landmark, you are asked a question about the country. Get it correctly, and you continue on around the world!

Controls: 5/10
I gave the controls a 5/10 because they were practically useless. Sure, you needed the control pad to move around, but that was practically it. The reason being is because, THERE IS NO WAY TO DIE! You can dance your way into every town knowing that you can never get hurt. That's what was most disappointing.

Replay: 0/10
I don't know about anyone else, but once I beat the game, you would have to pay me to even turn it back on. The first time I played the game, I couldn't wait to get it over with. I thought the ending might be good, but the whole game ended up to be a revolting development.

Plot: 2/10
The plot is very average, and the only time anything changes is when you travel to a new city. The main character is Luigi who sometimes has Yoshi to keep him company. Other than Luigi and Yoshi, the only time you see another recognizable character in the game is the end, when you see Mario! The time never changes. The only difference between the cities is the color and shape of the buildings. Everything else is exactly the same.

Entertainment: 0/10
The entertainment of this game is the worst part. Never when I was playing, did I think the game was fun. Something was just missing. I tried to like it, but I just couldn't. It's one of those games that you buy for kids so they can learn. It isn't something a child would wait for for months to receive.

Length: 1/10
I could never beat this game when I was younger because I didn't know the answers to any of the questions. Now that I'm in high school, I easily beat it in 2 hours while also on the computer. I can't seem to figure out what age group this game was targeted for. All of the older kids can beat it in less than a day, while younger kids give up on it because it's too hard.

Overall: 1/10
It's said to see such a good company waste any time on a bad game like this. I tried so hard to like it, but I just couldn't. There were too many little things that made the game bad. Some of the little things include: well you can't die, boring, little entertainment, replay value is low, length is short, and there doesn't seem to be a point to it.
