Story line: 9/10 - This is a great game by Ren and Stimpy. You will be able to play some of the action from four of the show's episodes. Ren and Stimpy can't take it anymore in the television world, and need your help to get out. You will help guide them past four levels, or episodes from the show. These episodes are The Boy Who Cried Rat, In the Army, Stimpy's Invention, and Marooned. At the end of each level, there is a familiar boss waiting for you. Defeat the boss to go to the next level. Complete all levels to win. The episodes were great, and being part of the action is the best part!

Difficulty: 7/10 - This game's difficulty rests between normal and hard. It can be tough for many players, especially the first two levels. The difficulty also adds to the game's enjoyment, so you will need to do some thinking and quick actions to proceed through the action and make it past levels. You will use familiar techniques displayed in the episodes to make it through the levels. There are no continues, so manage your health and lives wisely. It will be tough with all the enemies and obstacles.

Sound: 8/10 - The sounds are made very well, even for a cartoon game. Ren's and Stimpy's voices sound exactly like their voices from the shows. All other sounds are generated from actions or events happening in the levels. All are natural sounding, and make general sense.

Music: 9/10 - The music is awesome, really setting the atmosphere of each level. It makes the game more enjoyable, and easier to play to. The boss music creates the tension and seriousness of the situation, which is great for game play. All the music is appropriate for their levels, and I wouldn't change anything.

Control: 9/10 - Controlling the two characters is very simple and unique. Move them in the desired direction with the D-pad, and you can make them perform memorable actions with the various buttons. When using items, the controls might be slightly difficult, but there shouldn't be a problem at all, for the controls become common sense after some playing time.

Graphics: 7/10 - The graphics are nicely colored and designed, even for a cartoon game. The characters are well thought up and created, appearing exactly as they did in the shows. The levels are uniquely created, with memorable items and decorations from the shows. As a cartoon, the graphics will seem strange, but that's all a part of the fun. I wouldn't change much of the surrounding at all.

Entertainment: 7/10 - If you can overlook the difficulty, you will have a ball with this game, for the characters, levels, and actions are very funny and memorable. Everything is from the shows, and will bring to life the great times and fun moments of the Ren and Stimpy Show. A must have for fans of the show, and a wonderful game for all ages. Some still play it today, for reminisces, fun and a nice pastime. I certainly do.

Buy it or Rent it?

It's all up to you, but I highly recommend buying it if you're interested in Ren and Stimpy games as much as the shows. This game is great fun and wonderful for remembering the greatest of episodes and playing in them too, for the excitement and joy of playing in the game, as well as the episodes on television. An unforgettable game.
