"Not even Vanna White can saved this game from mediocracy"

Wheel of Fortune: Featuring Vanna White

Yes, I can say that I am one of the few people who actually owns this game. If I hadn't gotten it as a birthday gift, I probably would never have even heard of it.

Basically, it tries to capture the feel of the hit TV show (well, a hit at the time this was created), and it get the main feeling of it. But heck, I cannot live on only around 50 different puzzles!

The graphics are very bad.... what little graphics there are anyway. Basically, everything you see are one-three characters with only 5 different expressions, text, lots of spinning colors, and Vanna White in front of a green and white screen. That's it. You don't even see the top half of your own characters. There are only six different characters you can choose from either; three of each sex.

The sound in this is nearly as non-present. Pretty much just the theme song, and some blips and bleeps to let you know that something has happened. Not too high-tech, but I guess they serve their purpose well.

The gameplay is definitely the worst part, just press a button to select your option, move it around and click on a letter. And hope you got it right. The entire game is pretty much a point-and-click, but I guess it would've been hard to make it any other way.

There is no story involved. At all. Apparently, some people just got together with Vanna White and decided to play Wheel of Fortune. The game doesn't even tell this, but I think anyone could think of it.

Anywho, the game can be fun, if you are like 8 years old. That's when the puzzles seem to pose a challenge, and you actually need to think. Once you get old enough, however, it will hardly require any thought. Also, there isn't any interactivity in it, just make a command and then press a few buttons.

Also, if you are looking for a challenge, this is not the game for you. The computer is extremely dumb. They choose letters like 'z' and 'x' when the completed part already reads 'Jo_n F Kennedy.' It is almost impossible to lose when playing by yourself.

My final word? Stay away from this game. Feel lucky that this game isn't available anymore. Rent it if you really want to, but don't say I didn't warn you.
