"Too bad this game didn't sell... it's so fuuunnnn"
Enter E.V.O. - The Search for Eden. Are you some fat ugly teen who wishes you could look however you wanted? Well this game's for you (and maybe the Sims.) Evolve however you want. You could be a bird with T-Rex jaws, a guy in a loin cloth, or a shark with a light on it's head. It's really up to you in this brilliant game from Enix.

It's no Super Metroid, but it works. The body and face parts are very easy to see, unlike many games where you have a small character. Being able to look at your character and see what's missing it very important in this game, and will make it easier. The different body parts go together quite nicely. No seams or spaces as with some other build-a-character games. Also, the environments, enemies, and even the world map look quite nice.
Sound: 9
Gotta love the music in this game. If there was a soundtrack I'd buy it. The music really helps to set the mood in this game. Dramatic, cheerful, depressing, or serious, the tones are always right for the places you're in. Even the sound effects are great! =)

This game is soooooo easy to control! There not really much to do, but it's easy to do what you can. Biting, swallowing, dashing, and ramming/kicking/etc are all just one button away. The response times are good too, allowing you to bite hard bosses such as the Queen Bee at the exact time it's needed.

I'm a Christian, and for some reason I guess I'm not supposed to like this game, but that's too bad. I can't just pass up a game like this. Even after having it for 7ish years, it's still great to sit down and play for a while. Basically, you start as a fish. You gotta eat other creatures to gain EVO points so you can evolve. Eventually, you'll turn into an amphibian, dinosaur, and mammal. Sound repetitive? It's not. It's just fun.
There are also other aspects of the game which make it fun. Little things called crystals will change you as well. Red ones change you into a creature you can't get normally. You can also make a record of your current appearance and go back to it later (even in a new game) with a green crystal.
Overall: 8
Even though this game is about evolution, it's one of my favorite games ever. There's just something addictive about it. If you can find it cheap, get it. I've seen it go for over $40 on eBay, so at least you can say you have a rare game if you don't like it.
