We're Back!: A Dinosaur's Story

This game has all the right features, in all the right places. We're back is a kids game, simply put. Adults would find this game boring and through it away. We’re back is a strait forward game, no hidden paths or secret levels. If your looking for an action packed shoot em up game You’re in the wrong place. You’ll be surprised, while it tries to be a game for all ages (mostly kids) there’s the obvious sense of difficulty. Making the game not as much as a bore as im making it out to be. If you’re trying to find a game that’s easy, none violent, and has no course language check this game out.

Graphics: 10/10
Rex and other dinosaurs graphically is eye pleasing. The backgrounds are spectacular. You really get a sense that you are in the place you’re going through. The foreground is swell, the ground resembles the levels and all buildings and structures are done well.

Sound: 9/10
The sound in this game is excellently chosen for every level. The sound effects needed a little more work. Never have I heard a feet stomping sound like a train. Enemies don’t make any sound, well maybe a little. To your ear the music in the game will be pleasing.

Game play: 10/10
You go through many stages acting the dinosaur rex. He has many moves to use, maybe only three. The simple linear stream if the game makes the game play much more enjoyable. The difficulty in this game is hard; you will die many times before you beat the final boss. A mixture of enemies and new ones in each stage will keep the game from becoming boring, and the bosses are really creative. Mostly all levels require some thinking to them and the help of your dinosaur pales are always there to help. The best point of game play is the boss areas, all areas are long places. Running into the screen will move it giving you more room to maneuver. The game play was really well put together.

Story: 6/10
Doctor screw eye has kidnapped some kids and you must rescue them. Doctor screw eyes keeps getting away after each boss battle to bring on the next levels. Eventually you will catch him and rescue the kids, and I think they have a hotdog. Was this story based on the movie? I never saw it, but the story sucks.

Replay ability: 8/10
You’re definitely going to play this game again, it’s just so well put together and appealing to not to. If you found this game childish then never think of it again. For the most part this game will keep you playing it till you beat it.

Rent or buy:
If you can find this game, it’s a perfect addition to your Snes collection.

This game has everything a good supernes game should have. We’re back has some aspects that make it seen horrible, but you must look at the positive. This is supernes not ps2. What were you expecting dazzling graphics and superb sound? Don’t bash this game till you’ve tried it.
