"World heroes 2 is one of the best, unknown fighting games for the Snes"

World heroes 2 is one of the best, unknown fighting games for the Snes. The game lacks a little compared to the best selling Mortal kombats or Street fighters. Don’t think that this means this game is a stinker, oh no. Lots of character to choose from--with each one having their own unique stage. This game could have easily been a best seller. I wonder why it wasn’t?

Graphics: 9/10
Superb. The graphics in the game are beautiful, but shoddy at times. Each character is masterfully done for there style of fighting, but cartoony sometimes. Backgrounds are great, showing of the true nature of the characters attitudes and origins. This game gets a 9 because although it has good graphics it falls in comparison to other fighting games.

Sound: 8/10
The music in the game is well done, wonderfully represents each stage. The sound effects are where the game loses its two points. World heroes 2 has got to have the worst voice actors I’ve ever seen in a Snes game. While the talking is funny at times, especially mudman’s native dance. It veers from the path of good voice acting to poor voice acting. I realize the talking only happens when certain moves are performed. Still no voice acting would have been better then the stuff they put in.

Game-play: 10/10
This game has excellent game-play. You can choose from a lot of different characters--each with different fighting techniques. This game blew me away. I’ve played the first one and never did I think that they could make something good out of the mockery that world heroes 1 was. Not only do they have they have the fighting areas; they have an optional death match play. Where there is a random stage that has hidden dangers. Compared to the first world heroes, this one kicks ass. 10/10

Story: 1/10
Story… I guess there’s a competition and you win or lose till there’s a winner. Your guess is as good as mine.

Replay ability: 8/10
This game is a definite replay if you liked it. Most people will replay it because they will want to see every characters ending. If your like me you will replay it because it’s just fun to play. It gets an 8 because sometimes it can get boring. It’s best to not play this game for a while then it will seem like more fun.

Rent or buy
I say buy but this game is really on the fence. With any Snes game buying it is a good investment because it might not be around for much longer. On the other hand if you really don’t care for Snes fighters leave it alone. Final word: buy.

Overall: 7/10
Great graphics, great sound, great game play, and good replay ability. The lack of a story in this game wounds this games score. You can’t just make a fighting game with no story. You’re just going to get people saying, why am I doing this?
