"One of the best games I've ever played!!!!"
Few have heard of this game, but rest assured this is most certainly a game worth owning!
To start off, you are a demon named Firebrand who was ultimately powerful due to these power crests. After being attacked by Phalanx, he loses all his power and must fight to get it back.
Length: You can spend literally days or even weeks on end exploring the vast world. Being that every new item you get allows you more abilities, revisiting old places can be as exciting as the first time. It took myself about 2 months to beat this game and i still LOVE playing it!
Gameplay/Playability: For SNES, the gameplay rocks! The graphics are very clear. There are so many items in the game it's unbelievable. Like I said earlier, revisiting places with new stuff can present new paths, items, and bosses. As you collect more crystals, you change form and it's just.... breathtaking! Even when you think you beat the biggest, baddest, Boss... ''what's this?! Another password!?'' Yep! You get a password to get the final crest of heaven which is the coolest thing I've seen on SNES! Basically the final crest gives all the abilities of the other crests and a little extra.
Sound: The sound is pretty decent. It may not be the best sounds and background music, but it's still pretty good and not bad enough to make me dislike the game. The Sound effects are pretty good at some parts.
Controls: Even though you can totally customize the controls (like have the START button make you jump), the controls are simple and require little adjust time. The most complicated it gets is A twice or Up+A.
Replay Value: The replay value is so great! You can beat it and still want to play it more! I've gone through the whole game twice and still love it! It's so exciting! Every level has something to come back for!
Enemies: The variation in enemies is pretty decent. Most common enemies look like older ones but in a different color. But the bosses greatly vary. Some are so strange I can't describe them. Even with the color change, the amount of of enemy types is great and very unique!
Conclusion: I still say this game is one of the best of all time. It would be sweet if they made a Gamecube, PS2, or XBOX version of this game. The game is virtually flawless and if you don't own it, go to Ebay, or Gamestop, or some place where you can buy old games because this game is worth every penny and much more!
