"One of the best RPG games I've played!"
This game is very overlooked! In my opinion, this is almost as good as the Zelda series! In fact, this is pretty much like a Zelda game! There are very many good qualities about this game, and the good thing is, there aren't many bad ones! Here are some things you may want to look for before playing this game.
Graphics: 9.5/10: For a Super Nintendo game, this one has very nice graphics! There are very many different designs of monsters, many different characters, and the architecture of some of the buildings is amazing! The reason why I did not give the graphics a perfect 10 is because of this: I think some of the designs of the levels are lacking design.
Sound: 7.5/10: Alright, I'll say it, this game lacks a bit of music. Some areas of the game barely have any sound. There's the con about the sound, want to hear the pros? I personally, LOVE some of the sound tracks. There are quite a few different music tracks on here, so you won't get bored with listening to the same music. The sound effects aren't as good as the music though, you'll mostly listen to Will's flute smacking against the enemies. Let's move on.
Control: 18/20: The controls are very easy to learn and very easy to pick up. Even though there aren't very many different abilities you learn, you won't need to learn combos to activate your special moves. So, point being, you should not have any problem at all with the controls.
Gameplay: 18/20: The gameplay, like the graphics, is very nice. You don't stay in the same place at all, you'll move around a lot, traveling to tons of towns, towers, dungeons, and some other stuff along with that! This is an RPG game, but unlike most RPG's, this is NOT turn-based! You will actually fight an enemy like you do in an action game. When you defeat all the enemies in a room, you get a power up, which will help you.
Storyline: 8.5/10: I like the storyline for this game, The main character, Will, lost his father in the Tower of Babel. Will's not sure if he is still alive though. The storyline progresses, and many strange things happen, like being thrown into a dungeon, and meeting up with a pig!
Challenge: 8.5/15: Ok, this game isn't exactly challenging. I beat this game in 3 or 4 days. Some of the levels are hard though! I also don't find many of the bosses very hard. The bad thing is, not many stages are that hard...oh well!
Replay: 7/15: Half-half here! There's basically one thing you can do after you beat the game. That's getting all 50 of the Red Jewels to get ''Gem's Secrets.'' You'll like it! Once you beat the game, you can't go back that far, so you'll probably need to start a new game.
So let's take a look,
Overall: 77/100. 77% out of 100%. I round it up, and we get 8/10 total.
Illusion of Gaia is a very good game. Wanna know the bad thing? You're not going to find it in many stores, so you're best idea is to buy this game online. I can play this game for many hours on end, and it is good enough to play more than once! Now comes the question, do you want to rent this game or buy it? I say either. If you play it enough, you'll be able to get it all done if you rent it, but the game is so good, you should buy it!
