"No fun and unbeatable, WOW almost sounds like a good game"

Who here can honestly say they have never watched the Simpson's show? That is right, because everybody has watched it in their life has watched it. The Simpsons are bigger then big and aren’t going to stop for long a time. Now who can tell me if they have ever played a good Simpson’s game? What’s that? You haven’t played one in your life. Well that is true because most Simpson games are not good and Virtual Bart is a prime example of this.

STORY 5/10
Well Bart goes to his science fair day and sees a virtual reality project. Bart gets in and finds himself spinning to choose from six different levels. All of these levels are pretty lame and hardly fun. When you lose all of your lives Bart gets out of the virtual reality set and throws up. Yeah sounds fun is it not. The only things that were mildly entertaining were the few Simpson references. Before every level and after is a little cut scene that is funny at first but lame every other time. Also every level contains characters from the show. Kind of neat I guess.

GRAPHICS 9/10
The graphics are the only good part of this horrible game. All characters actually look good and backgrounds show scenery of the real Springfield found in the Simpsons. I found that the graphics were amazing for the Super Nintendo.

SOUND 5/10
Not much here except for a few screams, groans, and chuckles of a few Simpson characters. The background music is lame and uninspiring. It is actually painful to listen to it.

GAMEPLAY 2/10
This is where the game goes from bad to uber bad. There are only six levels and they are all exceptionally bad. Also all of these levels are extremely hard and impossible to beat. You will not be able to beat this game.

The first level is some prehistoric dinosaur thing where you run around jumping and wiggling your tail. It is lame and unimaginative. I give it a 2/10.

The second is some baby level where you play Bart as a baby. You must jump tree limb to tree limb and not fall. Better then the first level but still not that fun. 5/10

The third level is when Bart turns into a pig and must escape the meat packing plant. Extremely hard and I have no idea where to go in it. Also as the pig you just run around jumping up and down. Yeah sounds like fun. 2/10

The next level is the only somewhat fun level. Bart’s school picture day is soon and Bart decides to throw tomatoes at everyone. Aim and time your throw to get the perfect spot to nail some Simpson’s dweb. This is the only fun level and gets an 8/10.

Then we come to a water slide level. All you do is control Bart by moving left to right in the water slide. Choose the right path or you’ll get stuck because of Homer. Still plain though. 5/10

The last level is a racing type thing where you race to the nuclear power plant. Watch out for a few obstacles and no fun. 3/10

REPLAY ABILITY 1/10
There is no replay ability because you cannot beat the game. Even if you did manage to beat the game you wouldn’t go through it again.

OVERALL 2/10
This game is incredibly hard and very little fun after five minutes. I suggest you stay away from this game and I mean stay far away. If you’re a Simpson’s collector go for it but even if you like the show this game will still not be fun.(And I like the show) The game just needed to be a bit easier, more fun, and it needed more Simpson’s comedy. That’s my opinion at least. Now to go watch some good Simpson Episodes.
