Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time
Review by Well done old chap
"Best.TMNT.Game.Ever."
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle were one of the best things to happen to the Super Nintendo. As a kid, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were my favourite show. Just to see this game come out for Super Nintendo when I was a kid made me so excited, and when my parents got it for me, I thought that I was one of the luckiest kids on Earth. I would play the game for hours. This game kept me busy for so many years. It is the only game that I have actually replayed more than twice. Of course I don’t play it anymore, with my new game systems, but this game really does rock. Well anyways, on to the game.
Graphics – 10/10
The graphics are satisfying. For Super Nintendo, they are great. As a kid, they were perfect for me. The graphics, what can I say about the graphics, they were probably one of the things that kept me playing as a kid, they made the game enjoyable, the ninja turtles looked good (just like from the cartoons), you knew exactly where you were going or what you were trying to attack, it was really great. You can’t usually say much about Super Nintendo graphics, but when you look at the turtles, the game really does look great.
Sounds – 10/10
Ah yes, what great excellence. I loved the sounds, sound effects, music, voices, you name it and I loved it. It goes real good with the graphics, and makes for an interesting game. I laughed sometimes at the sounds. Good times, good times.
Gameplay – 10/10
The gameplay is great. The controls are easy to use. You are overgrown ninjas with weapons who are ninjas trying to stop an evil metal head. It is what every kid dreams of doing, right? Well I sure did, hah. I wouldn’t be writing this review right now if I didn’t think this game was really good. When you put everything together, the graphics, the sounds, the controls, the characters, and all of the little things, this game makes for an action filled and fun played game. You have the story mode that you go through all of the levels, then you can also choose to fight a friend, how fun is that? You can also play with a friend, exciting, you and your friend, side by side, as turtles…
Story/Plot – 10/10
Hey, again I say, you are ninja turtles, big ones, with weapons, going back in time to stop Shredder, and fighting many bosses and those foot soldiers along the way. The plot is great, just like the TV show was great. But Shredder is not your only problem, Krang, just one oversized brain if you ask me (with eyes and a big mouth), also gives you troubles, but no worries here, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are on it!
Replay – 10/10
Oh god, yes, this is so far the best replay game I have ever played. It is the only one that I have gone through about a million times (exaggeration about how many times I have played through it, but still a lot!). Playing this game over is still as fun as the first time you played it. I couldn’t get over it when I remembered I used to play this game for hours and then when I beat it I would just turn it off for a bit and go back to playing it. And when you are to skilled for the easy mode, go to normal, and when you are to skilled for that, go to hard. It is great I tell you, great.
Overall – 10/10
Overall, this is a great game. Everything about it just rocks. I mean after so many years of playing it, of course you are going to put it down and move on, but when I think about it, it kept me busy for about 2 or 3 years. The time I am writing this review now, it may be just a little hard to find, but it is definitely worth it. You can play with a friend; I had so many memories with this game, had couple of people come over, take turns playing.
Slumber parties, birthday parties, or hanging out, doesn’t matter, this game is pretty cool for playing with other people, family or friends. Just make sure you are the better one, hah. In conclusion, this is an addicting game. Konami had really outdone themselves with this one, it just adds to many of the great games that come from Konami. So try this game of for sure, it is as good as I say it is, yes it is. If you can’t find one lying around online or in stores, someone has got to have a copy, right? Well that’s the rap up folks, and as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would say, Kawabunga!
