Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Review by Mykas0
"Nice Dragon!"
Introduction
Based on a movie which wasn't very good but was somehow nice for those people who were sad about Bruce Lee's death... (If you don't know, Bruce Lee was a legend of the oriental martial arts movies) Well, this game was based in the movie, but I think that in common they only have the title... I can't be sure about this since I actually never saw the movie, but I think that it may be as I said...
Gameplay
Hum, you play the first level and you may say that this was actually a fighting game, but as soon as you reach the deeps of the second level you will see that this is not completly true... Sometimes during this game you will be able to fight against multiple opponents, which isn't a very usual feature in snes' games. So, this turns to be a very nice game (and quite difficult, too!), as you will also be able to get powerups which can grant you faster moves or even some known japanese weapons whose name i don't recall... But apart from this, as I already said all the battles will be quite hard, meaning you will need to be really careful and think about all your moves in the battle before really striking. As for the controls, your keys only allow you to punch and kick, but by combining them alone or with the directional keys you will be able to perform greater and more powerful moves. Quite nice, I must say!
Story
Sorry, but... I couldn't really understood it, which means that the story is not very explicit in the game... As far as I remember, this was somehow a compilation of the ''Best moments of Bruce Lee'', or something like it...
Graphics/Sound
Nice graphics, they are really nice for a SNES fighting game, and as for the sound it is also nice, you will be able to hear the amazing sounds that Bruce Lee usually made in the movies plus the musics (which change in every level) and the sounds from the opponent fighters.
Play Time/Replayability
It may take you longer than you think for being able to complete this game, but once you do it there isn't any reason for playing it anymore. Quite a pity, shall I say, or I would have given this game an even higher mark...
Final Recommendation
If you are interested in fighting games or you are a Bruce Lee fan, give this game a try!
