"My Favorite Game Evar..."

When I was 5 or 6 years old, I'd go down to the video store with my parents, almost every other week and rent this game. Then when N64 came out, the video store gave away all of it's SNES games, so I went down there and got it right away. I played it all the time when I was little, and I'd beaten the easiest mode plenty of times, but I also used the $999,000 cheat. I recently started playing this game, and I've beaten the first two worlds on the hardest level (I only started playing it again 2 days ago), without cheats.

Gameplay 10/10:

You're racing around in made up vehicles trying to get money and points. The controls are very easy to figure out. What I love about this game is that you can get any car you want, and you can get any kind of improvements you want on it. You go from planet to planet, racing the native champion of the world with two people(brothers?), who always advance to the next level with you.

Sound 8/10:

I will never get tired of hearing the five or six rock songs that keep playing during this game. The noise from the cars is also pretty good. The announcer is the only problem that I have with the sound of this game. He always says the same things, and his voice can get annoying(unlike all the other sounds in this game), but that's actually not that bad, because you can turn his voice off if you need to.

Graphics 10/10:

The graphics for this game are amazing! They may not be the best graphics compared to newer games and systems, but for a SNES game made in 1993, they are excellent. I've seen worse on N64 games. This game has a good framerate, so it's also very smooth.

Replay Value 9/10

This game is great to replay for several reasons. One is because there are three different difficulty levels, which go from fairly challenging to almost impossible. And even once you've beaten every single difficulty, it's still fun, because it's a racing game, and the plot(if any) isn't important. The VS. mode is also fun. You get to see how much better your cars are when they're completely souped up, then when you are only buying the things that you really need. Another nice thing about the VS. mode is that you can fool around in it, and instead of racing, you and your friend can destroy each others car.

Rent or Buy Buy this game if you can find it, but it's pretty rare, and also pretty expensive now. I've seen it on Ebay for $20-$30.
