Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball

Review by izzykaubaubau

"And the best baseball game award goes to... Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball"

Single Player Gameplay (8/10)
----------------------------
I'll admit that this game is much more fun playing with a bunch of friends, but with a season mode to still play (your choice of 162, 78, or 26) you will be throwing your controller around, yelling, screaming, and jumping on your Super Nintendo. The Home Run Contest is sort of rigged with the opponent always getting Ken Griffey Jr., so don't expect to win. You get to choose your opponent if you decide to just play a single game, which is beyond awesome (almost awesome on a stick)! You can play the New York Mets or the Detroit Tigers every time.

Multi-player Gameplay (10.5/10)
------------------------------
That 10.5 is not a typo. You can play your friends as much as you want, and it almost never gets old! I've had this game since I was 8, and now I am edging my 15th Birthday. You can play a 2 team World Series if you have enough time. It automatically erases it when you pop in a different game.

Graphics (7/10)
---------------
One of the only flaws in this game are the graphics. You have your Fat guy, and your thin guy, and that is just about it, with the exception of races. In the radar, your guy is a blue dot, which I think is funny, because they are still using that in other games today (like PS2, GCN, XBOX games use that kind of radar).

Controls (10/10)
----------------
I found the controls to be very easy on this game. B is swing and to throw, you'll figure out the rest as you go along. That is all you have to tell your friends when you ask them if they want to play.

Sound (9.5/10)
--------------
It never gets old hearing the umpire say Strike. Even after hearing him say it 81 times in a row. Well, I guess he says out some of the times in between those. The only reason why this game did not get a 10 out of 10 in this category is because of the opening music. It sound like something I've heard before. It lacked originality in the beginning music. The dinging I loved (at least the dings that happen when you are going into your bullpen).

Rent or Buy
------------
Buy! You can't rent it anymore. So just go down to your local used video game store with 10 dollars(5 for the game, 5 for a Slurpee on the way home) and buy it.

Overall
-------
This was the best game that it was my pleasure to borrow, then buy(I borrowed it so much he got mad) from a friend.
