NBA Jam

"Best Basketball Game, EVER."

NBA Jam is, in my view, the most classic basketball action ever on any system. You won't even notice that your playing on a Super Nintendo console, this game is so great. All the action that is delivered on the court every time you turn this game on is so fresh and enthralling, you will keep coming back for more. NBA Jam is a classic masterpiece on the SNES, and may be one of the top 5 games ever to appear on this system. Yes, I said Top 5. The unrealism that this game may show doesn't detract from the main value. The core of video gamers that we have today was only around the age of 6 to 12 when this game peaked, so nobody really cared. After all, 8-9 years later, I still remember that you could play as the President, Bill Clinton in this game.

Gameplay-10/10
This is just so amazing. You could be jumping WAY above the hoop and then do flips and end it with a spinning tomahawk slam dunk, to hear the announcer scream 'BOOMSHAKALA!!!'. This game brings back a lot of memories, and great ones, too. NBA Jam was all about its slam dunks, which it showed when you could break the glass behind the rim. Every aspect of this gameplay is awesome, and I don't see any flaws, whatsoever. Perfect gameplay in this NBA Classic.

Extra Effects-10/10
I added this category because this game deserves it. It is so amazing the dunks you can do in this game, especially when you use codes. Other cool features allow you to catch on fire, when you make a few swishes or a few regular buckets in a row, then you do even better. Turbo modes allow you to fly down the court for an easy slam dunk. You can enter your stats by using the initial screen, and play head to head against a friend. This was always my favorite option. Breaking the glass was great too, and playing as Special characters, if you knew the codes, was extremely fun.

Sound-10/10
The only memorable sounds in this game were the ones that were heard when you excelled on the court. A Big jam gives you a 'BOOMSHAKALAKA!!', a Long 3 gives you a 'FROM WAYYYYY DOWNTOWN!' or when your on fire... 'HE'S ON FIREEEEEE!!'. The sound is really cool in this game. The catchy tune that is played when the game is turned on is sweet as well. Every aspect about this is great, and only adds to the greatness of the game that is already at a monstrous peak.

Fun Factor-10/10
This game is so cool and fun, it's just out of this world. This is one of the founding fathers of Basketball games today, and I think it is still one of the best. NBA Jam allows great freedom to perform any dunk you think would be cool. The fact that such an awesome game is delivered for the SNES Console is mind-blowing. This one is a definite must have for SNES, and if you own a Sega Genesis, buy it for that too... The Sega version is even better.

Final Recommendation-BUY

This game is also made in the Sega Genesis console, which I prefer that version better... But just the sheer fact of such an awesome game on the SNES Console may make some of you hardcore gamers buy it. This game is on my Top 10 ALL TIME Favorite list(I don't care if you think I am a loser). NBA Jam really is that good, and is the best basketball game ever made. BUY NOW!
