"Possibly the best RPG on the Snes!!!"

WOW! A masterpiece in every possible way. The gameplay is simply phenomenal and is very enjoyable. The plot is so amazing that it's difficult for me to put into words how incredible the story actually is. There are so many interesting twists and turns throughout the entire game. You can tell they made this game at close to the end of the Snes because the graphics are unrivalled by almost any other Snes game I've ever played. They pushed the Snes to its limits and even beyond. I loved the music in almost all the parts of the game. The music chosen for each place couldn't have been better. It just fit. There were sounds for almost everything making this game even more interesting. This game will surely last for quite a while and is definitely worth playing again and again…

Gameplay 10/10

Enix did an amazing job keeping gamers interested in the gameplay by making it a relatively hard game without making it impossible to the point of being boring. It's hard to complain about the controls because it always takes a little getting used a new games controls before they really make sense. This game is one of the best games I've ever played for sure.

Story 10/10

Finally, a storyline that rivals that of any Final Fantasy. The only problem is that the storyline can be a little bit hard to follow at the very beginning of the game. But, after you get a little further into the game, the pieces of the story fall together and eventually the story all starts to make perfect sense and you will enjoy the game even more. The story in this game is a lot like the icing on the cake. Take something delicious and make it even more irresistible. In my personal opinion, this is the most important factor in any RPG. If the story is good, the game is good and in Terranigma, the story is arguably the best there is making this game quite possibly the best there is!

Graphics 10/10

I can honestly say that there are very few games ever made on Snes that come even close to comparing with the graphics of Terranigma. Enix made a game that was able to use the full power of the Snes better then all the other games. To give you an idea of how good it is, every weapon that Ark (the main character) used looked different. But, if you're only interested in games with good graphics then this ones not for you especially if you've only played the new age systems. The graphics of this game compared to those are terrible and if you all you want is good graphics, I can assure you that you will become bored of this game very quickly regardless of the superior storyline/gameplay.

Sound 9.5/10

Almost the entire games music was perfect. The music fit the scene and the mood except for a few small irrelevant parts. There were very good sound effects for almost everything. When Ark jumped, he even made a jumping and a landing sound! The music was just plain easy to listen to. And I could sense what the mood of the scene was supposed to be just from listening to the music which is exactly what I want. I enjoyed pretty much all of it and probably so will you.

Play Time 10/10

I'll admit that this game is not for everyone. It is definitely one of the longer games I've played so I'm telling you right now that it's a VERY long game. If you don't like spending a long time on a game then maybe this game isn't right for you. On the other hand, I can guarantee without a doubt that if you enjoy long games, you will not be bored at all with this one in the least.

Replayability 10/10

It's really hard to get your hands on a copy of this game assuming you live in North America because for some stupid reason, the game was never released here. I recommend searching on the Internet for a rom of Terranigma because the replay value is amazing. There are plenty of things you can go get your second, third and forth time through that you missed the first few times. There are lots of side quests making this game a never ending one.

Overall Score 10/10

For an overall score I give a 10/10 because it's just that good. If you're looking to play the game, which I'm guessing you are because you're looking at a review for it. I definitely recommend it for all the reasons mentioned above. Even though I loved this game, it's possible that others won't because not everyone is the same and wants different things, it's impossible to please everybody so just remember that lots of people liked this game but it's not what everyone is looking for. All I can say is have fun with this game!!
