Kirby's Dream Course
Review by Rikimaru13
"The whole expierience is likely to steal away your weekend"
Golf is a genre that, in my opinion, isn't a very fun one. But Kirby's Dream Course is different. Fans of Kirby games will love the familiar characters and moves. I liked the multiplayer option, it added a lot of replay value to this game. The graphics were cute and cartoony, the music was smooth and familiar from other Kirby games. The control was as good as a golf game could get. This is just one more game that deserves your recognition.
Gameplay 9/10
This game was a lot of fun. You get to hit Kirby around (He's the golf ball) and try to sink the ball. Along the way there are enemies and power-ups too. The control was as good as you can manage for golf. This game is mini-golf with a twist.
Graphics 9/10
What can I say? The graphics were crisp and clean. Enemies looked great in 3d. The power-ups all had their own effects. Once glance at the back of the game case shows that these graphics are great. This is the best manageable in terms of SNES.
Sound 9/10
The music was very catchy. Who doesn't remember how all the Kirby songs go? All those tunes are back, and they sound better than ever. The sound effects however, were ok but nothing special. Being a cartoony game, the sound effects consist of boink, bam and pow!. I don't think that the sound effects killed this game though, they are enough to hold it together while the rest of the game works its magic.
Replay Value 7/10
Well, I suppose it will get boring after a while. I mean, how long can you play the same courses over and over before you shut the game off? There are a lot of courses, and the multiplayer helps, but this isn't going to be a game to be played forever. You might wanna put it away when you're bored, than bring it back out a year later and relive the fun.
Overall 9/10
Kirby's Dream Course is here to offer you fun. Why pass it up? Rent the game, or if you can find it cheap, buy it. I'm sure that even if you don't like golf, you'll like Kirby's Dream Course. The graphics are cool and cute, the music is nice on the ears and the whole experience is likely to steal away your weekend. If you are a Kirby fan check this one out.
