Game Play: 10/10
Super Metroid is extremely fun. In the game you explore a massive planet in deep space, to progress in the game you must find hidden passages, doors, and secret weapons. The whole game has a very eerie feel, bosses attack suddenly and without warrning, the statues that give you your weapons and upgrades will attack without warning on some occasions. Eighty precent of all of the upgrades in Super Metroid are hidden away in secret rooms and areas. Many of the upgrades are extremely cool and have very original effects, the bosses are tough and very scary when compared to most bosses. Since your the only human on the planet your on, an added effect of horror is added to the game. There is even an unexpected twist to the finnal boss that you face. Weapons can even be combined with other weapons and items to form unique, super powerfull, attacks and abilitys. Super Metroid has superb game play and is a very addictive game.

Entertainment: 10/10
This is a game that you will never want to put down once you start playing. From the very start you'll be sucked into the game and be hooked for many, many months. The game is very fun, has a great creepy feel, and has very, very addictive game play. Most of the health and weapon uprades are hidden very well, to find most of them you must bomb floors, walls, and other types of areas and things such as pillars and statues. Super Metriod is an ultra entertaining game, and has a very creepy play-game.
Super Metroid is a classic that should be played by everyone at least once.

Sound: 10/10
The eerie tracks played throughout Super Metroid set the mood of the game. The music is VERY creepy, but not because it sounds like some cheap horror movies music, but instead because of more a "haunting" sound that the songs have about them. Plus, each areas has it's own unique, very fitting, set of songs that play at very fitting times of the area. The sound effects are also wonderfully done, from the sound of your boots splashing in the rain, to the sound of molting magma and the shriek of you dying foe. All of the sound effects are far supeiror than the sound effects of your average game. Super Metroid has extrordanary sound, the music is so good that you may actually go out of your way to listen to it!

Graphics: 10/10
The areas in Super Metroid are very well thought thought out and planned, not only is the layout great, but the areas also look great. The backgrounds are very fitting and cool in most areas. Most of the enemy's are uggly, but the bosses are horrofying, one boss in the game is the ghost of an alien experament gone wrong, thats right, a muntant alien ghost! The game never slows, skips, or gets glitchy (some old game used to mess up for no reason). The water effects are great, and the heat effects are also just as well done. Even you menu and map are well set up, this game has wonnderful graphics.

Level-Layout: 10/10
The world you explore is one massive interconnecting labrynth. The areas in Super Metroid are enormous and have hundreds of hidden rooms and chambers, a vast majoraty of the game is hidden away. The areas vary from an ancient wreaked ship, to magma filled caverns and even under water ruins. To find some secret areas you must bomb floors, ceilings and walls. Some can be found simply by walking through walls. All of the areas are very memorable and all original. Super Metroid has ingenius level design.

Replay Value: 10/10
Super Metroid has extremely high replay value, so much so, that you may never stop playing Super Metroid. Once you beat the game, you get to see how many of the games hidden items that you've found. Ussually, you will only find a little bit over half of the hidden content, plus, most of the items that you have found are needed to beat the game. This means, that there is still much to be done in the game, and since the game is so fun and has a great eerie feel, you won't mind playing again and again to find everything. You can spend years searching for everything and still never find all of the hidden stuff, and that means you may never stop playing Super Metroid!

Overview: 10/10
Super Metroid has great superb game play, a great feel, tons of hidden items and is a very, very fun game. The sound is extremely fitting and cool at times, the areas are creepy, but not haunted house creepy, instead the fear is from the massive, empty planet, that is light years away from civilization. The weapons are very unique, and cool, there are hundreds of hidden areas and rooms. Super Metroid is one the greatest side scroller ever, and quit possibly, the greatest game of all time, and, it should diffinetly be played by everyone. I give Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, a perfect, ten out of ten!
