Star Trek: The Next Generation
Review by Nadnerb
"Confusing? What does that word mean? Oh yeah... I just remembered it meant Star Trek: The Next Generation"
This game is very confusing. That explains pretty much all of the game.
Story:
There is very little story, excluding the transmissions that are made to bore your poor soul to death. Also there is the fact that you cannot navigate and receive transmissions at the same time. They go something like this: Help! I'm Dr. Tilirus and I went into a Romulan colony without a phaser! They captured me and I somehow transmitted this boring message to you for a stupid reason.
Story: 4/10
Graphics:
Nothing good here, this is a fair game for Super Nintendo standards. Captain Picard looks really dorky and evil. Basically all of the people look like psychopathic blobs that walk jerkily along and bump into their surroundings. The general detail is generally bad, and with them trying to fit 3D shading in just makes it a complete drop out of its potential glory.
Graphics: 5/10
Sound:
There is no sound that is worth remembering, again the sounds are very frustrating as with many of the other Super Nintendo games. They are just the most annoying sounds that anyone could invent in a million years. All there really is are these little dings that happen every time you do something. Again, just plain annoying sounds.
Sound: 3/10
Gameplay:
This is where things are really confusing. The screen where you engage your ship against an opponent is incredibly bad. It is purposely made so that the weapons respond about half of the time. The controlling is annoying and tedious, as you have to use the R and L buttons to switch between items. This is very time consuming and annoying, as the people each have only one or two items each. The rest are just blank spaces that your selector moves to and stops at.
Gameplay: 4/10
Replay Value:
The bad part about this game is that there are only 3 levels, and it gives you absolutely no directions on how to do anything. The only thing I can say here is that there is nothing to say here about this flaw in this lacking game. It wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes compared to other games out there today.
Replay Value: 1/10
Recap: Nothing real good here. Stay away and just relax about it. Playing it isn't that hard on your heart... on the other hand maybe it's horrible replay value is a danger to your heart.
