"Hulkamania is running wild!"

Introduction
Being the first WWF game released in this console, perhaps fans would expect too much from it. In a time when Hulkamania was running wild, this game even featured the hero Hulk Hogan in the main screen, but apart from being a part of Hulkamania, is this game any good?

Gameplay
Ok, you see the Hulkster in the main menu, and then you press start. Ok, you have 2 only choices, between "One Player vs Computer" and "Two Players".

This could seem interesting or something, but the options available in both modes are almost the same. "One-on-one" pretty much explains itself, "Tag Team" enables you to play 2 vs 2 and "Survivor Series" lets you play a match with two teams of 4 players confronting themselves.

As for "characters", in this game you have 10 of the most famous superstars, including Hulk Hogan. However, in the ring appears there aren't any differences about them, as they seem to have exactly the same moves!

Plus, there is one detail that makes this game really interesting to the fans. At the start and ending of each match, you will see a guy (I don't remember his name, sorry, but as far as I remember he was the guy who announced the matches in old times...) saying the data about the participants, and sometimes he says different things, like the names of the tag teams (if they were a "special" tag team, in the show) or stuff like that...

Story
Unfortunately this game has none, but the comment details I just referred previously (well, just see the paragraph before this one...) turns out being a really nice feature, for the fans I mean.

Graphics
When this game was made their graphics could be considered nice, but they are really above the graphics of most games released later for this console, particularly considering that games like "Star Ocean" or "WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game" were also released for this console.

Don't get me wrong, the faces of the characters in the menus are really good, but in the matches the characters are not very detailed, although you can

Sound
Nothing special, apart from the 1-2-3 sound from the referee and the cheering sounds from the fans, when you perform amazing moves. However, if you aren't interested in those 2 details, just consider the music here as... none.

Play Time/Replayability
Here, all depends on if you are going to play this game with your friends or not. If not, you will only like this game for a couple minutes. However, in group this turns out being quite nice, as you and your friends can even make your own teams to play each other. Also, there aren't any secret things to unlock here, or anything...

Final Recommendation
ONLY fans of Hulk Hogan will enjoy this game, since this is the only WWF game for this console that features him. Plus, I gave this game an extra point (in the score) because of some of the nice feature i mentioned before, but if you aren't really interested in that just ignore that...
