"Zelda for the TG"

Neutopia is a very fun game and filled the adventure/quest void on the TG 16. This game is the closest thing I've seen to an original Legend of Zelda clone, complete with dungeons, overworlds, underworlds, and such. That is not to say that it is not original. The graphics, music, and detail are far superior to Zelda and the gameplay is slightly different.
For those who didn't own the TG CD (which was most people at the time) Neutopia offered the next best thing to Y's. If you have a TG and can find this game, pick it up.

Graphics=8.5 The world you fight in is well drawn and detailed, while the overall animations are smooth and crisp. The overworld is bright and the underworlds are dark, as should be. A nice looking quest game.

Sound=8.6 Soild catchy tunes, as were most TG songs. If I remember correctly, the TG had a very good sound system at the time and my ears agree with me! Neutopia has typical quest-type music, just very well done.

Gameplay=8.6 Solid, Zelda esque gameplay. Your hero is a little more versatile and easy to control than Link.

Challenge=7.0 A typical quest game, with not a whole lot of things that will stump you. If you have played other games of this genre, it doesn have many real surprises.

Overall=8.0 A solid 8 here. Neutopia is a must have quest game for the TG owner who wants to see how good a Zelda game could have been on a superior system!
