~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~INTRODUCTION~~~~~~~~~
==========INTRO==========[INTRO]
Hello! This is MisterMarioMan aka Johnathan Dunn writing a guide for
the critically acclaimed Wii Game, Trauma Center:Second Opinion. This
game is filled with difficult operations, new diseases, and, of course,
Great Doctors. After purchasing this game, it quickly rose to become
one of my favorites, which is why I chose to write a guide for this
game and submitted it to GameFAQs. You don't wanna know about me,
though, you wanna know about the game. Well, The Guide Follows. Good
Luck!
==========USING THE TOOLS==========[TOOLS]
~ Available in every Mission after 2-3/Z-2
* Only Available in Certain Missions
--------------------------\
ANTIBIOTIC GEL            |
--------------------------/
To use the Antibiotic Gel, simply push A. The gel will squeeze out, and
then you can move it around to aim where it goes. The vitals will go up
as little bit as you use it. Now, the Gel has several uses. It can
disinfect the area before you cut into a patient and it can also
disinfect the area before you place the bandage. It can be use to fix
small holes and cuts in your patient as well, making it a very useful
tool. Best of all, this is probably the fastest one to use.
--------------------------\
FORCEPS                   |
--------------------------/
For the Forceps, all you do is press and hold A+B on something. You can
then lift it out of the area and move it somewhere else. Remember to be
careful with this, for when you set it down, if its not in the right
area, you'll recieve a miss. Sadly, that seems to happen A LOT. Oh
well, as long as your careful, you should be okay.
--------------------------\
LASER                     |
--------------------------/
The Laser is simple. All you do is press a and the laser will come
down. You can use the laser to burn off small tumors and kill several
types of GUILT. The only thing you have to watch is where you aim the
laser, because if it's centered in one place for too long, it will pop
a small hole in the organ. Use the antibiotic gel immediatly or else
some blood could collect that you're gonna have to drain. Besides that,
the laser is a very simple tool.
--------------------------\
SCAPEL                    |
--------------------------/
The Scapel can be used to cut open a Patient and many other things,
making it a very useful tool. However, the sad part is that the scapel
is also responsible for the most mistakes. The way the scapel works is
that you press and hold A to start cutting, then pretty much just move
it around. Theres always a guideline to follow, and you need to follow
it CAREFULLY. One wrong move when cutting and BAM! Mistake. In some
cases like that, the Patient may even have a new scar to tell his kids
about. As long you're slow and careful when cutting, it should be okay,
however.
--------------------------\
SYRINGE                   |
--------------------------/
Ugh. If you don't make a mistake with the Scapel, you will with the
syringe. After switching to the syringe, you'll see some vials. Theres
one green one in every mission, which can be used by pressing and
holding A to fill up the Syringe. Then press and hold A on the organ
to inject a vital raising juice, which is extremely useful. The other
vials will be used the same way although they will be injected into
different places for different purposes(Be careful with your aim on
these vials!)
--------------------------\
ULTRASOUND                |
--------------------------/
The Ultrasound is unique as it really has two purposes, depending on
the Mission. It can be the Ultrasound, which is the most common, and is
used by pressing A as you move around the Organ. It can detect things
such as tumors and kyriaki that hide in the organ. Once detected, the
object will remain visible for a short time. The other function of the
Ultrasound, found in a couple of missions, is the Magnifier. You push
the A button to zoom in on an area on the Organ, and when zoomed in,
you push the A button to zoom out. In most of these missions, you must
zoom in/zoom out quite often, so make sure you're ready.
--------------------------\
DRAIN                     |
--------------------------/
The Drain is pretty easy to use. You put in the area that needs
draining, and press A to drain. The drains most common use is to drain
blood, however it can be used for other purposes, such as draining
cytoplasm from a tumor. The drain can be useful, but it's not really
used that much.
--------------------------\
SUTURING NEEDLE           |
--------------------------/
The Suturing Needle can be used to stitch any wound up. Lets say theres
a wound. Pull out the needle, start at bottom of the wound, then zig
zag across the wound quickly to stitch it up. At the beginning you'll
probably be very bad at it, but later in the game, you'll be able to do
it very quickly and accurately. Because of the large amount of wounds
in the game, suturing may be the most used trick, so be sure to
practice it.
--------------------------\
BANADAGES                 |
--------------------------/
The Bandage becomes available after stitching up an initial cut. You
disinfect the area, then you can grab the bandage by clicking the
icon to the left. After that, go to the middle of the bottom of the
cut, then press and hold A. Strech it across the entire length of the
Cut and nothing more, and then let go. It's all bandaged up!
--------------------------\
HEALING TOUCH            ~|
--------------------------/
The Healing Touch seems Complicated to most people, but it's actually
pretty simple. First, Hold the Z Button, then, hold the B button. After
that, follow the guidelines below, and your Healing Touch will be a
success.
     /\
\---/--\---/
  \/    \/
  / \  / \
 /---/\---\
Now, after activating the Healing Touch, a bar will appear on the top
of the screen. When the bar runs out, the Healing Touch is over, and
you can't use it again that operation. Now, the Healing Touch is
different for each Character. When playing as Derek, the Healing Touch
will slow down Time a bit, allowing you to move faster with fewer
interruptions. However. when you play as Weaver, the Healing Touch will
cause the vitals to spike way up whenever you pull off a Cool or a Good
on a task. As you can see from these tremendous effects, the Healing
Touch is a great and powerful tool.
--------------------------\
DEFBRILATOR              *|
--------------------------/
This will be forced upon you in certain missions. When it is, you'll
see a bar like this:
    _______________
   /  _________2211\
  /  /           \22\
 /  /             \  \
 \_/               \_/
A Green line will move about the bar. You want to press Z+B together
right when that line hits in the 1 or 2 section. If it hits in the 2
Section, you'll have to do it again, but if it hits in the 2 Section
again after that, then the patient will be revived. If it is stopped in
the 1 Section, then the patient is automatically revived. Any other
section will force you to do it again. You'll have a limited time to do
it, so go quick!
--------------------------\
PENLIGHT                 *|
--------------------------/
Theres one Mission with the Penlight, and it's completely in the Dark.
You'll see the Penlight as an Icon to the left of the screen. Click it,
and then as you move around the screen a light will surrond your
pointer. Once you click an area, the light will stay there until you
push the icon again, so you can use that to see the area. It burns out
eventually though, forcing you to use the Camera.
--------------------------\
CAMERA                   *|
--------------------------/
In the Mission with the Camera, the Screen is completely dark(Similiar
to the Penlight.) The Camera, after clicking the icon to the side, will
charge up. When it goes off, you'll be able to see the entire screen
for a short time. Unfortunetly, it will run out fast, so you should
probably memorize as much as you can before it does. Besides providing
the area with light for a short time, the Camera has no other function.
==========DIFFICULTY LEVELS==========[DIFFI]
This Game Has 4 Levels of Varying Difficulty, Although only 3 are
available at start. You are allowed to choose the level of Difficulty
as soon as you start the game. The Difficulty Level May Be Changed as
the game is played, and for a perfect file, every operation must be
complete on every difficulty(For a Total 134 Operations). The
difficulty levels are as follows:
           Easy    - Recommended for New Players. The Game isn't too
                     difficult, but there still is a difficult mission
                     or 2 in the bunch to keep it interesting. The
                     Color of the Mode is Bronze.
           Normal  - If you've played the DS Version or completed
                     Several Operations on Easy, Then You're Ready for
                     Normal mode. It's got a few somewhat difficult
                     operations, but it's not impossible. The Color of
                     the mode is Silver.
           Hard    - I Recommend you've beaten the game at least once
                     and have intimate knowledge of Trauma Centers
                     Gameplay Style. This mode is very difficult, with
                     few missions being easy. The Color of the Mode is
                     Gold.
           Extreme - Incredibly Difficult. Harder than actual surgery.
                     The Extreme Mode is only available for the X
                     Missions. The X Missions are also locked to this
                     mode. The Color of the Mode is Red.
==========RANKINGS==========[RANKS]
Every Operation in this game is based off a simple rating system.
Completing an Operation with a Certain amount of Points will get you a
certain grade. The Grading System is as Follows:
Best--->   XS Medical Prodigy
           S  Master Surgeon
           A  Senior Surgeon
           B  Specialist
Worst-->   C  Rookie Doctor
   (NOTE:The XS Rank can only be aquired on Hard Mode or on the X
Missions.)
Naturally, More Points Will get you better Ranks. However, there are
certain things, such as suturing a wound, that will give you different
amounts of points. You recieve a message listing how good you did. the
messages are as follows:
           Cool - You've Completed a Task Perfectly. Many Points
                  Awarded.
           Good - You've Completed a Task, but not that Great. Some
                  Points Awarded.
           Bad  - You've Completed a Task, but completed it poorly. Few
                  Points Awarded.
           OK   - Several Things You can not improve on. OK is a
                  message telling you that you've done as good as you
                  can.
           Miss - You've made a mistake in performing something. You
                  must retry doing that thing, and no Points Awarded.
Only Some Tasks Give Awards, While Most Give OKs. The following are the
listed Tasks that give awards, as well as tips for scoring cools on
them.
           Suturing a Cut        - Small and Fast Zig Zag Patterns.
           Bandaging a Cut       - Fully Cover the Wound, but don't go
                                   much farther than that.
           Placing Items on Tray - Place Item Right in the Middle of
                                   Tray.(Some Items Don't Award.)
           Making an Opening Cut - Cut Open the First Time. No Specific
                                   Speed Requirement.
Let Me Give You an Example. Lets say theres a mission where you must
suture 3 wounds. Lets say suturing a wound awards 50 points for a Bad,
100 points for a Good, and 200 points for a Cool. Therefore, the
minimum amount of points you can score is 150, while the maxium amount
is 600. We'll say the scoring system works like this:
           XS - At Least 600 Points
           S  - At Least 500 Points
           A  - At Least 450 Points
           B  - At Least 400 Points
           C  - At Least 0 Points
Therefore, to score an XS, you must get a Cool on all 3 suturings.
HOWEVER: If you were to score 600 points, but you were on Easy or
Normal Mode instead of Hard, You would only score an S. Scoring Cools
isn't the only thing to get you an XS, though. To Score an S or XS, you
usually have to get every Bonus for the points they award. There are
3-4 Special Bonuses for every Mission, although theres more on that in
the Walkthrough. Most of the special bonuses involve going fast and not
making a single mistake. Please Note, These Ranks are only for
completionists that want to make a perfect game(More on that in the
Perfect File Section.) If you just want to beat the game, it doesn't
matter if you score a C on every mission.
==========MISSION TYPES==========[TYPES]
There Are 2 Types of Missions in this Game, Which I have listed Here.
           - Operation:These are the meat of the game. These missions
                       require that you operate on someone before you
                       can go ahead with the storyline. These can be
                       identified by the diagonal line next to the
                       name.
           - Storyline:These missions don't actually require you do to
                       any work. All these missions do is advance the
                       plot a little more. Generally, there aren't more
                       than 2 missions like this in a row.
==========DEALING WITH GUILT==========[GUILT]
There are 7 types of GUILT, a strange new disease, found in this game.
Below I've listed each type of GUILT, the best way to deal with it, and
the Operations it appears in. I definitely reccomend that you read the
Triti Section, but besides for that, most of these GUILT are explained
in detail the first mission you deal with that specific strain. These
full descriptions are really only if you're having problems and need
more information.
--------------------------\
KYRIAKI                   |
--------------------------/
These are by far the easiest GUILT to deal with. First, for every
Kyriaki Operation, you must suture the wounds on the body beforehand.
This usually entails of several small wounds and a few large wounds.
After taking care of that, 1-3 Kyriaki will appear. These buggers cut
the patient up when they appear and when they're cut out. They can also
make more cuts as time goes by. I suggest waiting to suture these cuts
until all the Kyriaki have been defeated. To defeat a Kyriaki, you must
locate it with the Ultrasound, then cut its shadow to get it out of the
organ. Once it's out, you should laser it 2-3 times, and that will
defeat it. After doing this for all the small Kyriaki that appear,
suture every wound(You need to use the Antibiotic Gel for the small
cuts made by cutting the Kyriaki Out.) After every wound has been taken
care of, 3 large wounds, 2 diagonal and one straight up and down. These
were caused by the boss Kyriaki, whose occasionally accompanied by
another small one. If it is with a small one, defeat that first just
like you did the other small ones. When you're ready to defeat the
large one, do a search for it, cut it out, and laser it just like you
normally would. However, after you do that, it goes back into hiding.
You'll have to cut it out again, laser it again, then repeat the
process. It usually take 3-4 hits to kill a boss. After you defeat the
boss Kyriaki, simply suture what wounds are left over and Kyriaki is
defeated.
This GUILT is found in Missions 2-9,3-2,5-2,6-4,6-7,Z-5,and X-1.
--------------------------\
DEFTERA                   |
--------------------------/
This is probably the worst GUILT in the game, because every operation
with it involves alot of luck. Before the Deftera come, you must laser
away any tumors in the Organ(The Big Tumors can spawn many tinier
tumors.) After getting rid of the tumors, a Red and Blue Worm will
spawn -- The Deftera. The Deftera will move around, and occasionally
spawn tumors you must laser. This is where the luck comes in; You must
wait for the worms to get close and combine. Once they combine, they'll
form a sort of circle that you must drain. After doing that, the
Deftera will sort of lose color. Repeat this process 2 more times, and
the 3rd time, the Circle will start rapidly spinning, generating
tumors, and causing fairly rapid vital loss. You should see yellow dots
that you can cut. Cut all the yellow dots, and extract the the tumor-
like substance it leaves. Then place the membrane on the hole left and
gel it. Laser off any tumors, any close the patient up. Deftera ain't
so bad, huh? Well, it can get worse. In every mission with a Deftera,
theres one part where you must deal with 2 pairs of worms at once. The
number one difference between these is that if you're draining a
combined pair, and a lone Deftera worm bumps into that pair, the drain
sequence will be interrupted, forcing you to try again. The easiest way
to get around this is to wait until both pairs happen to combine(Which
does happen often.) After they do, drain them both. Just be careful, as
you must only drain one the third time they combine, or else the vital
cause by the rapid spinning and tumor generating will be too much on
the patient. Just be careful, and Deftera will be simple.
This GUILT is found in Missions 3-4,6-7, and X-2.
--------------------------\
TRITI                     |
--------------------------/
This is the GUILT that most people get confused about, but once you get
down to it, it's really quite simple. You see, the way Triti works is
that it's basic structure is a Triangle with a thorn on each tip. To
defeat it, you must extract all 3 of the thorns and then the triangle
using the forceps. However, every Triti Operation usually has 8-15ish
Triangles, and when you extract one, if certain conditions are met,
more Triti will grow. Obviously, this isn't good. but just what are
these conditions that cause the Triti to grow? Well, for one, if a
Triangle is extracted, and another triangle has 2 thorns on the same
side, a new Triangle will grow. However, the exception to this rule is
if there isn't space for another triangle, then removing the triangle
has no effect. You need to be hasty when extracting the Triti for this
reason: If you remove all the right thorns so that no new Triti can
grow, and grab a Triti while a thorn is regrowing itself, then more
Triti will appear because you weren't fast Enough. Obviously, this can
be very difficult, which is why I advise that you go slow and only try
to remove 2-3 Triti Triangles at a time. There is one more Rule of
Triti regrow which can sometimes make or break a mission: If there is
an isolated triangle, and it has 1 or more thorns in it, it will grow
new triangles on all sides. So when you're getting ready to remove the
last Triti, leave 2 connected Triangles, wait for every thorn to
regrow, then extract every thorn and get both Triangles so there is
never an Isolated one. If you just follow these simple rules, you'll do
well in extracting the Triti.
This GUILT is found in Missions 3-10,5-3,6-7, and X-3.
--------------------------\
TETARTI                   |
--------------------------/
The Tetarti is a pain in the ass to pull off an S or XS on. This is
mostly because you can't make a mistake, which these damn things tend
to cause alot. Okay, now that I'm done venting off some steam, lets
start destroying the Tetarti. First, usually when these missions begin,
there will be some strange Tumor like substances to destroy before they
will appear. There will be three, one purple, one green, one yellow.
They keep growing, so you'll have to move fast, because if these things
grow too big, they'll will rupture a bit, damaging the patient. To
destroy these things, Get out the syringe and inject each tumor with
the same color liquid. When you do, you'll see yellow dotted lines you
can cut. Cut them, then excise the tumor. Place the membrane over the
hole, and gel it up. Do the same for all 3 tumors, then the Tetarti
appear. There are 3, one purple,one green, and one yellow. Just like
with the tumors, you'll want to inject them all with the same color.
Heres where most people mess up: The Tetarti keep moving, so injecting
them with the proper colors is fairly difficult. They turn rather
suddenly, so I usually wait until they get to the end of the organ and
turn before injecting them. To damage them, you must inject all 3 with
the liquids before they disappear. You must usually do this 5-6 times,
and if you accidently inject the incorrect color into the Tetarti,
several new tumors will appear that you must excise. Be very careful,
stay calm, and focus, and the Tetarti will be easy.
This GUILT is found in Missions 4-2,4-4,5-4,6-3, and X-4.
--------------------------\
PEMPTI                    |
--------------------------/
Pempti is very simple to deal with. When it starts, you will see a
large amount of mist on the organ, and a circle can appear and
disappear in it. You must take out the Syringe with the orange vial
(Only available with the Pempti Missions.) Inject the vial straight
into the circle to destroy a bit of the Mist. Do this again, a little
more of the Mist will be destroyed, and the Pempti Core will reveal
itself. You must use the laser to destroy it. After doing that, it will
disappear into the Organ and send out many smaller cores. There are
three of cores in can send out: The Pink Cores, which will pop from the
main core, wait for a second, then make a quick cut on the organ, the
Blue Cores, which appear 5 at a time, will wait for a few seconds, then
quickly cause several tumors to appear, which you must laser off then
gel up the holes they leave, and finally, there is the Spinning Cores,
Which appear quickly and cause much damage until destroyed. The pink
cores are easy to kill. Simply laser them after they appear, and you'll
destroy them all before they cause any damage. The blue cores are the
trickiest. Destroy 2-3 of them before they cause any tumors. Now, since
they are virtually invicible while making tumors, use that time to
laser away any tumors they caused and gel up the holes. Once they make
it back down, laser the remaining ones. The best advice that I can give
for the spinning cores is to watch the main core, and when he sends
them out, focus the laser right on him. That way you can destroy most
of the spinning cores before they even get out. Now, in order to
actually damage the Pempti,you must wait for the Core to reappear
outside the organ, then laser it. After 5-8 hits of this, the Core
finally goes down. Before I close out here, there is a few more notes
for you:Because you must use the laser so much in the Pempti missions,
you have an unlimited laser. Also, the order the Pempti sends out the
different types of Cores is random, however, it can only so out one
type of core a maximum of 2 times in a row. Just be careful in how you
laser things, don't let the cores get the upper hand, and you'll find
that Pempti is really easy to destroy.
This GUILT is found in Missions 4-6,4-8,4-10,6-6, and X-5.
--------------------------\
PARASKEVI                 |
--------------------------/
Paraskevi is a fairly straightforward GUILT. When you start these
Missions, theres always some open lacerations. Suture them up, and the
Paraskevi appears. To defeat the paraskevi, you must laser the tail,
then use the scapel across its body. This will cause 2 more cuts to
appear, and will split it's body into 2 parts. You must repeat this
process, Lasering the tail of the new worms and cutting it into 2, and
keep repeating this a total of 4 times to bring the Paraskevi to it's
smallest point so you can laser it's tail and extract it, then keep
this up by doing the same to every other made, cutting everything to
its smallest point, where you can easily extract it. There should be
a total of 16 Tiny Worms you extract to fully defeat the Paraskevi.
That's basically it, although there is one more key factor in these
missions: If the Paraskevi burrows into the heart, the patient dies.
You usually start several organs away, so you wanna stop the Paraskevi
before it burrows deeper, for if the Paraskevi burrows through the
Organs and you chase it all the way to the heart, it can easily turn
the tides of the operation. So be careful.
This GUILT is found in Missions 5-6,6-4,6-7, and X-6.
--------------------------\
SAVATO                    |
--------------------------/
The Savato is about as close to the final boss as you're gonna get in
this game. When you see it, it will be surrounded by a Web. Before you
can damage the Savato, you must destroy the web. To destroy the web,
use the scapel on it. This will cause the scapel to melt, forcing you
to wait before you can use another one. This process is slow, but
you'll have to keep it up to destroy the web. Occasionally, the Savato
will create another part of the web and also spawn some Baby Savatos.
Just cut that part like normal, and use the laser to destroy the Baby
Savatos before they can combine to form a Blue Savato, which can really
damage the patient. Once you destroy the web, the Savato will run to
another part of the heart to form another web. Destroy this web like
the first one, and It'll create another one. after destroying the third
web, It's time to damage the Savato. The Savato has 2 attacks during
this part: He can create 3 small wounds on the Heart, and he can also
create a large wound that Baby Savatos come out of. Destroy them fast.
To damage the Savato, use the laser on him multiple times. The fire
behind him will die down a little bit each time. Once the fire is
completely dead, use the scapel on him. After that, he will run. Once
he does, you'll have to repeat the process of lasering him. After you
laser and scapel him, you must do it one more time. But that time,
after you use the scapel on him, you must inject him with a black
liquid. After that, he will begin to go crazy, running around the heart
making so tons of wounds. After a second or two of this, Derek will use
a story Healing Touch. However, you still have your normal one. So
quickly use your Healing Touch, and then the two combined will cause
time to stop. That's right, actually stop. Quickly inject the Savato
with the black liquid again, and it will die. Every wound in the heart
will magically heal itself, so Savato will be complete after that.
This GUILT is found in Missions 5-9,6-8, and X-7.
|3/4/6 Cool's Earned                 |XS Rank: 5400 Points|
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This is the First Operation, and as such,this is pretty simple. When
you start, the nurse is going to ask you to suture the 2 wounds that
don't have glass in them. For Suturing, make small zig zag marks on a
scar, that don't spread too far apart. For more help, refer to the
"Using the Tools" Section.
Now take the forceps and carefully pull the glass out. You don't have to
be lightning quick to score an XS on this mission, just make sure you
don't make a mistake. To pull out the glass, hold A+B on the glass, and,
without letting go, pull it out of the wound in the opposite direction
it's lodge in there, then once you receive an "OK" message, you can put
it on the tray. For putting it on the tray, try to make sure that the
glass is right in the center of the tray before you let go to earn
cools.
After removing both shards of glass, Spray the Antibiotic Gel(Spray it
fast over the cuts), then spray the gel over the cutting line. For
cutting, just keep it slow, and go in a straight line. The Biggest
mistake I made when I was first playing the game is screwing up the
cutting.
Once you've finished the cut, Pull the glass out the same way you did
before(These are easier as they are a bit smaller.)
After that, Spray the gel over the cuts, like you did before.
Finally, Suture the wound, as you did before, only instead of just small
zig zags, I like to just have my suturing touch the tip with the big
cuts. Spray the sutured cut to disinfect it, and finally, all thats left
to do is place the bandage.
For the bandage, click the icon, then start from a little lower than
the very bottom of the cut, about right in the middle, and press and
hold A while you lift it to a little higher than the middle of the top.
After that, you're done.
|SPECIAL BONUSES:                    |Vitals    |None!    |
+------------------------------------|Start:  99|         |
|No Mistakes                         |Max:    99|         |
|                                    |XS Rank: 4700 Points|
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
Start By Spraying the Gel and Cutting him open. This is a little harder
than last time, as last time was straight up and down while this one is
curved. Don't panic, though, you can do it as long as you take it slow.
After Opening him up, Mary will ask you to restore the patients vitals.
This can be done by taking the Needle, Filling it up with the Vital
Restoring Juice(The Green vial that appears when you switch to the
needle)by pressing A, then going to a spot and giving that spot the
juice. I usually like to inject the juice into the reddish area in the
middle of the organ, but I don't think it really matters.
After that, Mary will ask that you locate the tumor. Switch to the
ultrasound, then push A to located the tumor. You should see a shadow
after you find the tumor. Then Tumor is a little south of the red mark
in the middle of the organ that I pointed out before. Once you see the
shadow, you should notice the yellow mark going up and down it. Simply
cut that with the scapel(It's not really possible to make a mistake like
when you perform the initial cut.)
After that, switch to the drain, push A to suck the juice outta the
tumor, then cut the yellow marks that appear(Like before, it's almost
impossible to make a mistake), Then take the tumor out, similiar to how
you removed the glass in the last mission, except that you don't have to
pull it out any special way, just grab it and put it on the tray.
After that, using the forceps again, grab a special membrane designed
for curing holes like that, place it in the middle of the hole, then
simply spray it with the gel.
Close him up, use the spray, and bandage him just like last time, and
it's operation complete.
+------------------------------------+----------+---------+
|A Farewell                     [1-3]|Time: 5:00|GUILT:   |
+------------------------------------+----------+---------+
|SPECIAL BONUSES:                    |Vitals    |None!    |
+------------------------------------|Start:  99|         |
|No Mistakes                         |Max:    99|         |
|Completed With 200/220/240 Left     |--------------------+
|                                    |XS Rank: 5400 Points|
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This is alot like your last mission. Spray the gel and cut him open(Be
Careful!), as you should be used to by now, then you should see two
small inflamed sores. Be careful, and take out the needle. Use the Blue
Vial this time, and inject it only into the 2 sores(Injecting it
anywhere else will be considered a miss.) Be careful, as the needle
with the blue vial is a bit touchy.
After taking care of the sores,
find the tumors. Theres one in the top left and right corners of the
organ, plus one in the middle of the bottom. Extract them all like you
did in the last mission(Locate The Tumor, Cut It Out,Drain The Juice,
Cut It to Detach It, Extract It, Place the Membrane over the Hole,Gel
the Membrane In.)
After taking care of the tumors, you can close the patient up. Operation
Complete.
+------------------------------------+----------+---------+
|Singing the Blues              [1-5]|Time: 5:00|GUILT:   |
+------------------------------------+----------+---------+
|SPECIAL BONUSES:                    |Vitals    |None!    |
+------------------------------------|Start:  99|         |
|No Mistakes                         |Max:    99|         |
|Completed With 150/180/210 Left     |--------------------+
|1/2/3 Cool's Earned                 |S Rank:  5100 Points|
|Fewer than 15/12/6 Blood Pools      |XS Rank: 5200 Points|
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This Mission may seem difficult at first,but if you try it a couple
times, it will be real easy. Make sure to use the vital restoring Juice
that you used in Mission 1-2 if you run into trouble(Although I suggest
you use it if vitals go down to 35 and below.)
First, Cut him open like you have in the past(Slow and Steady.) For this
operation, instead of the Ultrasound, you have the Magnification. To use
the magnification, simply push A on an area to zoom in.
Now, you'll notice the polyps(The Little Bumps) at the top. Zoom in a
little higher then where the actual polyps are, as the magnification is
kinda screwy at the top and bottom of the screen. Use the laser to burn
the polyps, drain and blood that occurs, then spray gel over the holes.
More Polyp groups will appear, so you'll have to do this several more
times.
To focus the magnification on a different area, use the magnification on
any spot when zoomed in, then again zoom in on the area you wanna look
at(Remember the rule for when you wanna look at the top or the bottom of
the screen)The first one is at the top, then the bottom, then the top
again, then the bottom again, then the top rightish.
After destroying all 5 groups of Polyps that appear, close him up like
you have before, and your done.
This can be a tough mission for new players, so just stay calm. Do the
opening cut as you've done many times by now. Grab the Needle, and use
the blue vial. Special Injections are, unfortunately, VERY touchy, so be
very careful and watch your aim. You want to use the injection on the
many inflamed sores you see. Each Injection should be able to cure 4
small sores, 2 large sores, or 1 Large Sore and 2 Small Sores.
After you take care of all the small sores(Making a mistake your first
time is not the end of the world. The first time I did this I made a
mistake every other shot.)It's time to remove those tumors.
Remove them the same way you have in the past:Locate, Cut, Drain, Cut,
Excise, Membrane, Gel. The Four Are Rather Close To Each Other, so don't
go looking in some random area.
After removing all 4, Simply Close Him Up as you've done so many times
before, and your done.
Don't Let the Low Vitals Frighten You, This is a fairly easy operation.
A Quick Note Before You Begin: If Vitals Fall Below 15, Raise them up
using the needle and the vital juice. You don't wanna risk it. Now
then, on to the actual surgery.
When you start, you'll need to use the defibrillator. Push the Wiimote
and Nunchuck towards the screen, Then when you see the bar, push Z+B
right when it lands in the green area.
Screwing up will cause a small drop in the vitals and you'll have to
retry.
After that, Suture the small wounds you see, Then make a cut
after that to get to the heart. Remember when you pulled out the glass
in mission 1-1? Time to do that again. Theres 6 pieces here, and you'll
have to pull them out just like the first time, then use the gel to
cure the small wounds.
After that, a Giant piece will lodge itself from inside the heart. Pull
it out very carefully, and then place it in the tray. Suture the wound,
and it will then remake itself. You'll see Derek really focus and a Star
will appear. Thats called the Healing Touch, but I'll explain that more
later.
Suture the wound again, Then Suture the initial cut, and then you've
finished the operation, as well as Chapter 1.
Alright, begin this like you would any operation, cut him open. You'll
be asked to use the magnification inside, but it this time the
Magnification almost always takes you to the same place.
Use the ultrasound and you'll notice the blue dots. Clip them with the
forceps, cut them open, then drain them, then use the gel. If one makes
it to the end, Vitals will drop a bit. Remember to raise them up.
After you take care of around 5-10 Thrombi(the blue dots), they'll start
going real fast. Use the ultrasound and clip as many as you can (One or
Two may make it to the end), but don't cut them. Eventually, you'll see
the star pattern like you saw in the last mission. The Thrombi will
begin to move very slowly. Cut and Drain the ones that you've already
clipped, then cut and drain a few more before Angie gives you the OK.
Close him up, just like you have before, and then it's operation
complete.
Alright, We will now learn how to use the Healing Touch. The Healing
Touch is an Innate Ability that Derek has which slows down time so
Derek may do things faster. Obviously, this is a very useful skill, and
some operations even require that you use it.
To Use it, Press and Hold Z and B and draw a star pattern on the screen.
You'll know it works when you hear a noise. This operation has no time
limit, and you can make as many mistakes as you want. Just draw 5 stars
To win(I suggest you follow the guideline on the screen.)
As for the special bonus, make sure you get both the skilled and
passable star bonuses for the best rank. Unfortunately, I am not sure as
to what this game considers passable or skilled, but If you keep trying,
you'll eventually get it. Also, if your going for the special bonus,
make sure you don't mess any up. If you do, thats okay, but you won't
recieve the first special bonus, which is necessary for that S/XS.
After this operation, you may use your new Healing Touch at any time
in the game using the same method.
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This one isn't so bad if you know what you're doing. Begin by making
the opening cut. Once in there, you should see the Aneurysm(The Reddish
thing with Vein Lines.) The Aneurysm will keep getting bigger, and if
it gets to big, it will rupture, causing large amounts of damage.
Therefore, you should hurry.
Use the Magnification to zoom in there, and Switch to the needle to
inject the orangish liquid into it. After that, You're going to want to
cut the yellow lines, like you did when you were cutting open the tumor,
and extract it just like you would extract a Tumor. Then Drain the Blood
that Appears, grab one Vein Line with the forceps, and pull it towards
the other to connect them. Then Suture it like a wound.
After that, Unzoom, and wait. Soon, you should see another one grow. Do
the same method as the first one(Don't let it get too big!) and then
unzoom and wait again. This time, there are 2 that appear. My advice
would be to do each step to both of them at the same time(Inject them
both with the Orange Liquid, then Cut them both out, then extract them
both, then drain both veins, then clip both veins, then suture them.)
You wanna do them both at the same time so niether one ruptures.
After that, heal up the vitals a little if you need too, then unzoom to
greet the next pair of Aneurysms. Get rid of this pair the way you got
rid of the last pair.
After that, Unzoom, and Use the Healing Touch(Just like in the last
mission.) 4 Will Appear this time, but with the Healing Touch activated,
you can handle it. Even with the Healing Touch, I still suggest you use
the same method as you did when the pairs appeared, and just do one step
with all of them before moving on to the next step.
After you handle these four, close the patient up, and you're done.
Ah, and easy one. Cut her open, like you normally would, and inside
you'll see 2 large wounds and 4 small wounds.
Begin by suturing up the small wounds, as you know how to do.
Once you've taken care of those, Lets move on to the larger wounds. The
first thing you wanna do is drain the blood. Then, because the wound is
too large to suture, you'll wanna clip the sides together. To do this,
grab the forceps,then grab one side of the wound and pull it towards the
other. After that, you can suture it like it's any other wound. You're
going to want to go fast whenever you deal with these big wounds, though,
because the wounds could reopen or the blood could regather.
After finishing that wound up, do the same for the other wound, then
close her up. Good Work, Doctor.
This will be your first encounter with the GUILT. Cut her open like last
time, and you'll see the wounds have reappeared, but this time there are
3 small wounds and 3 large wounds. Suture the wounds up like you should
know how, and then another wound will somehow appear.
Using the ultrasound, you can find a mysterious blue creature inside the
organ. Grab a scapel to cut it out, then once it appears use the laser
to hurt it. It only takes to hits with the laser to defeat it, but then
2 more appear in the organ.
Repeat the process(Don't worry about the Wounds for Now.) and defeat
both of the blue creatures. After that, suture the wounds(You can use
the antibiotic gel on the small wounds made from cutting the creature
out.)
Once everything has been sutured, 3 large wounds will appear in the
middle of the organ. Don't worry about the wounds for now, just use the
ultrasound. You should find a larger blue creature. Cut it out and
attack it with the laser, and it goes back into hiding. Keep repeating
the process of locating it, cutting it out, then lasering it. After 3
hits, it's down.
Suture the wounds, and remember to use the gel on the really small ones.
After that, close the patient up, and you've successfully defeated the
Kyriaki Strain of GUILT.
Okay, before we begin, you have to know that you're operating on a
little girls heart. Occasionally, her Heart will flatline and you'll
have to use the defibrillator. If you move fast enough, That could only
happen once. The slower you go, though, the more it'll happen. You
should remember how to use the Defibrillator from The last operation
in Chapter 1.
Now then, begin by cutting her open. Spray the gel on the heart and
switch to the scapel, and she will begin to flatline(Don't Worry, this
cannot be avoided.) Use the defibrillator, then cut the heart open. It's
time to work quick, as periodically through the next part, her heart may
begin to flatline again, forcing you to use the defibrillator again.
First, Drain the blood. Then, cut the yellow lines on the valve. More
Yellow lines will appear, cut them, then even more yellow lines will
appear, so cut them too. After that, remove the valve, grab the
replacement valve, and place it where the first valve was(This can
sometimes be a bit touchy, so be careful.) suture it in almost like a
wound(I go from Right to Left, though I think you can do it from Up to
Down.) Quick fast strokes are all it takes.
After that, suture the heart wound(This doesn't require a bandage.) And
suture the first wound. You just finished Chapter 2.
This Mission is actually very similiar to Mission 2-9:Please Let Me
Live. In this mission, you must once again defeat the Kyriaki
creatures.
To start, open the patient up, and suture the wounds like normal. There
are 5 small ones and 2 large ones, both of which you should be used to.
After that, the first Kyriaki shows up. Don't worry about the wounds
yet, just focus on defeating him. Just like before, use the ultrasound
to find him, the scapel to cut him out, the laser to kill him(2 hits)
and then suture the wounds he made(Remember to use antibiotic gel on the
small one!)
After that, two more appear. Use the same method, and don't worry about
the wounds till the very end. After defeating these two, suture any
wounds they left, then take some time to raise the patients vitals.
After that, the big guy appears. Locate him, cut him out, laser him, and
he goes back into hiding. Repeat this process 2 more times to defeat
him, then suture and gel any wounds left over.
After that, close the patient up, and your done.
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
In this Mission you'll deal with a new GUILT, the Deftera. First, like
all operations, cut the patient open.
When you get in there, you'll see some tumors. Simply laser them to get
rid of them. Be careful, though. The Big Tumors can generate smaller
tumors.
After you destroy the initial tumors, a red worm and a blue worm will
appear. These are the Deftera. They'll move around the organ, and
occasionally spawn more tumors. Destroy the new tumors they spawn in the
same way.
To Defeat these creatures, you must wait it out until the red and blue
worms meet. Once they do, they'll create a sort of circle. Use the
drain right in the middle of this circle to damage them. When they come
out of the circle, you'll notice they've suffered some color loss. Thats
good. Repeat the process of waiting them out, lasering what tumors they
drop, then draining once they combine.
After the third time you do this, The circle will start moving rapidly.
Eventually, you'll see yellow dots that you can cut out.(Similiar to a
Tumor.) Cut them quickly, as while the dots are there, tumors are
generated rapidly and vitals shoot down. After cutting out the Deftera,
you can use the forceps to excise it, then grab a Synthetic Membrane,
place it on the hole, and use the antibiotic gel to meld the membrane
in.
After that, laser any tumors that are still there. Close up the initial
wound, and it's time to move to the next area.
Just like usual, spray the gel, make the cut, enter the body. There's no
initial tumors to laser this time, the Deftera just appears. This time,
there are 2 red worms and 2 blue worms. If one worm mizes with a worm of
the same color, they drop the vitals a bit and leave a tumor.
Unfortunately, there is no real way to guard against that, making this
part very difficult. Also, if a lone worm comes into contact with two
combined worms you're draining, it'll screw up the process, causing the
worms to break apart and forcing you to try again. My best advice is to
not even try to drain anything unless both pairs are combined(Which
actually does happen a lot.) Then drain both of them.
You want to be careful with this method, though. If you drain them both,
and it's the last needed drain for both of them (Causing both
combinations to rapidly spin.) There may be too much drop in the vitals
(It's happened to me before.) So Drain both combinations the first 2
rounds, then the third round, wait for them both to combine, but only
deal with one. Extract the Deftera, place the membrane, gel it in. Then
drain and defeat the other Deftera, Seal the hole like you normally
would, laser any tumors, raise the vitals, seal her up.
Ugh, this is a touch mission, and the time bonus is brutal. But hey,
lets start.
When you begin, you'll see 4 screws you must twist off. Stick the scapel
in the middle, then twist your hand one way or another to unscrew it.
For the Bottom-Left Screw, Twist your hand left. For the Bottom-Right
Screw, Twist your hand right. For the Top-Right Screw, Twist your hand
left, and for the Top-Left Screw, Twist your hand right.
After getting that done, it's time to switch the voltage. Using the
forceps, grab one of the pegs, pull it towards yourself(Literally) then
push it into another hole. The pegs need to be in the top hole on the
left side and the 3rd from the top hole on the Right side.
After that comes the hard part: lasering the panels. You'll see a bunch
of hexagonal panels floating in front of a red core. What you need to do
is laser off every panel to get to the core. Easier said then done,
trust me. You get one free miss, but two and you're dead. There are two
ways too miss: Laser the Red Panels, or lasering something that isn't a
panel. The Flashing Red Panels move after time, so be careful if you
try to laser a panel near it, as sometimes it can move to the one
you're lasering, resulting in a miss. After a while, the flashing red
panels seem to disappear. They reappear eventually, but don't move, and
disappear again over time. They keep this pattern up for the rest of
the "Operation", so you can easily laser any panels near them without
fear.
After destroying all panels, you must destroy the core. You only have 30
seconds to do this, so HURRY. If you're not going for a perfect rank, I
suggest you use the Healing Touch now. Several rows of flashing, rapidly
moving panels will protect the core. If you hit one of those, you lose.
So just take it slow, and focus on lasering the core. If a Row starts
heading towards you, stop for a second, let it pass, then continue.
After destroying the core, it's Mission Complete. Good Job!
Before you start this mission, note this:Periodically, you'll feel a
slight shaking of the plane. This is okay, but once it starts shaking
it'll soon lead to a giant rumbling, during which any tool(Even the
Antibiotic Gel!) will leave a cut on the organ. So once it starts
shaking, do only 1 or 2 more things before the rumbling occurs. If you
do that, you'll be fine.
Now then, on to the actual mission. Cut him
open, then use the ultrasound to locate a hole. Using the scapel, cut
the hole out, drain it, then use the gel to fix it. The holes spawn in
random places, so there is, unfortunetly, no real way of telling where
they're gonna appear next. Keep repeating the process of Finding a
Hole, Cutting it Out, Draining it, Using the Gel. You're going to have
to do this a total of approx. 12 times before he's saved.
After you're done cutting and draining, simply close him up and it's
operation complete.
Alright, In this Mission we will deal with the third and most annoying
GUILT:Triti. Before we begin this mission, You should probably read
through the Triti part of the "Dealing With GUILT" Section. I'll give a
quick rundown here:Triti is a triangle, with 3 thorns in it. To defeat
it, you must remove all 3 thorns from it and then the triangle, using
the forceps. However, doing so causes more Triti to grow in other
areas. That's explained in full detail in the "Dealing With GUILT"
Section, but for now, simply follow my directions.
First, just like any operation, cut Reuben Open. Once inside, you
should see the Triti. You have to act fast after starting every step,
or else the Thorns will regrow(Which usually results in more Triti
growing, which isn't good.)
Alright, I've made an ASCII diagram for you. Simply follow the
directions, and extract what you need to in the proper steps(Make sure
you use the Forceps!)Some last Notes before you start: If any thorn
breaks into a mist, you should drain the Mist before continuing, as
that Mist can grow new thorns. Also, if a thorn regrows before you've
finished removing the Thorns/Triangles in a Step, Wait for ALL the
thorns to regrow then retry the step. You have plenty of time to do
this mission, but you don't wanna fail because you made a stupid
mistake.
STEP ONE:
   *-----*
  / \   /
 /   \ /
*-----6-----*     3
 \   / \   / \   / \
  \ /   \ /   \ / 7 \
              / \ 8 /
             / 9 \ /
            1-----4
Alright, After Completing Step One(If any new Triangles grow then
restart unless you have a very good understanding of Triti) You're
gonna wanna wait for the thorns to regrow(You should Restore the Vitals
while you wait.) After every thorn regrows,you need to move on to Step
Two.
STEP TWO:
   4-----3
  / \ 9 /
 / 8 \ /
5-----2-----*
 \ 7 / \   / \
  \ /   \ /   \
   6     *-----1
After that step, you need to let the thorns regrow again(Raise the
Vitals Some More!) After all the thorns regrow, it's time to finish off
the Triti.
STEP THREE:
      4-----3
       \ 5 / \
        \ / 6 \
         2-----1
Once you've finished Step Three, just suture Reuben up, and you've
beaten Chapter 3.
Alright, This missions is a little odd. You'll have to perform several
operations in this mission(You choose what operations you want to do.)
You'll have to do about 3, but each one is basically the same. To
begin, like always, cut the patient open.
Inside, you'll see a new GUILT:Tetarti. First, take the syringe and
inject the Red Serum into him. He'll burrow into the organ similiar to
the Kyriaki. Use the Ultrasound to find him, then cut him out with the
scapel. Inject him with the Serum again, and he'll hide again. Repeat
the process. After you inject him the third time, he'll stop moving. Use
the forceps to extract him, then when he is on the tray use the scapel
to cut him open. Drain the fluid that comes out, then stitch your
patient up.
Repeat this process for 2 more operations and it's mission complete.
Cut him open, like normal, and you'll see 3 tumor-like substances of
different colors. To destroy them, Inject them with the color serum
that matches them, then cut out the part that you can, and excise it
using the forceps(Watch where you put it on the tray. Aim for the
middle to get Cool's.) After the tumor is out, grab a membrane, place
it over the hole, then use the gel to fix it up. Do this for the other
2(I suggest you raise the vitals a bit before gelling in that last
membrane.)
After that, you should see the Tetarti. You need to have a good memory
for this. You'll see a color on each one(Matching the color serums you
have. Inject each one with the matching color serum(The Tetarti Color
goes away after a bit, unfortunetly.) This can be very difficult, as the
Tetarti tend to turn on a dime, causing you to miss. Don't worry about
it, though, and you will take them out. Also be careful, as if you
inject the wrong color serum into a Tetarti, it will cause more of the
tumors from the start of the mission(If this happens, take those out
first.) After you do finish making the injections properly, without the
Tetarti running away too soon, the Tetarti will hide, but then reappear.
Repeat the process of injecting the proper colors a total of 5 times
(Remember to raise the vitals when necessary!)and the Tetarti will die.
Simply suture the patient up, and you've completed the mission.
As always, start by opening him up. Inside, you'll see a mist-like
substance and a dark circle. Victor will ask you to try to cut the
circle out. Simply aim the scapel in the middle of the circle(The
circle moves, so be careful.)
After that doesn't work, he will ask that you laser it. Do this in the
same way you did the scapel. That won't work either, so you're going to
have to use the Antibiotic Gel. Just like before, right in the circle.
That won't work either, so it's time to start using the syringe.
First, use the blue serum right in the circle. You'll notice a reaction.
Try the pink. Another reaction. Try the yellow. After using the yellow,
The mist will start freaking out and doing damage to the patient. Use
the white serum, the neutralizer, quickly to negate the effect. After
that, Victor will ask that you switch between the blue and yellow. Wait
for the circle to disappear and reappear again, then quickly inject it
with the blue. After that, be fast, and inject it with the yellow
before the circle has a chance to disappear. Do the same method and
switch between pink and the neutralizer(The white one.) Then the circle
will appear(It stays in one place now.)
You'll notice lines that you can cut(Like a tumor.) Cut it, and then
extract the circle.
After that, you're done. Suture him up.
As usual, start by cutting him open. Inside, you'll see the mist again.
Grab the syringe and inject the Orange Serum into the circle. The mist
will shrink.
Do this again, and you'll see some small tumors. Don't worry about them
for now. You need to inject the Serum one more time and you'll see the
core. Don't worry about it yet. Laser off the tumors this thing made,
and use the antibiotic gel to fix the holes. Then laser the core.
After that, the mist will regrow and the core will hide again. Repeat
the process of injecting the serum 3 times into the circle, lasering off
the tumors it made, Fixing the holes with the gel,and lasering the core.
You'll see the cut lines, so cut the core out, then use the forceps to
grab it.
After this, a new core will appear, and the mist will regrow. Sadly,
there isn't much you can do right now. Suture the patient up, and then
it will be mission complete.
Once again, cut him open. Just like last time, inject the serum into
the circle in the mist. However, unlike last time, You only have to do
this twice. You'll see the core. Laser it until it hides.
It will reappear and send out about 5 little pink cores in a row. Laser
them fast, because if they wait for too long, they'll make a cut on the
organ.
After that, it will send out 5 little blue cores in a row. Laser the top
one then laser the ones on either side(Lasering in the middle can get
them both at once.) After that, the remaining cores will go up, causing
tumors like in Mission 4-8. You can't hurt them when they are in going
up and down, but you can fix the tumors by lasering them and gelling
them. Once the blue cores go back down to the bottom, Finish them off.
After that, immediatly center your laser on the main core. He will
send out about 5 little cores that spin around the main core. If your
laser is centered on the main core, you can finish them off before they
cause any damage.
The main core will then resurface and randomly send out a set of the
tiny cores you've seen before. Laser them away in the same method
before, and concentrate any free time you have(He occasionally stops for
1-3 seconds.) on either raising the vitals or lasering the main core.
After lasering the main core a couple of times (Each time you did it
will hide for a short amount of time.) The core and mist will explode.
Suture him up, and congratulations, you just completed Chapter 4.
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This is a tough mission for a beginner. You must save 5 patients in 10
minutes, which is about 2 minutes a patient. Each one has Kyriaki, in
varying ways. The hardest part about this is the low time limit. To
save some time, I suggest you try to cut out 2 Kyriaki at once if you
happen to see them near each other. Well, the best to explain this is
by writing a seperate set of instructions for each mission. Let's
Begin.
PATIENT #1
Cut him open, and you'll see two small wounds and a large one. Suture
the small wounds, drain the large oen, then clip the large one
together, and finally, suture the large one. A Kyriaki will appear.
Don't worry about the wounds, just find this thing and cut him out.
Then laser it, like normal, and fix any wounds it made.(Remember,
suture the larger wounds, but use the gel one the smaller ones!) After
that, two more will appear. Repeat the process and defeat them both.
Suture and Gel any wounds they left, and then The big guy will appear.
Ignore the wounds, just find him, cut him out, laser him, then repeat
the process when he goes back into hiding. Do this a total of 4 times
to beat him. After that, suture and gel up the wounds, then suture the
initial cut. Onto the next patient.
PATIENT #2
Slice him open like before, and you'll see another set of wounds: 2
small ones, and a large one. Just like before, suture the small ones,
and Drain, Clip, and suture the large one. After that, 2 Kyriaki will
appear. Once again, ignore the wounds and take care of them first.
After getting rid of them, Fix the wounds, and 3 more will appear.
Destory them, fix the wounds, and the big guy will appear. Simply do
the same as you did one the last patient: Find him, Cut him out, Laser
him, Repeat. After that, fix up any wounds and suture the patient up.
2 Down, 3 To Go.
PATIENT #3
You should be pretty good at Kyriaki right now, eh? Open up the next
patient, then fix all the wounds you see(This time there are 3 small
wounds and 1 large wound.) After fixing those, you'll see 2 Kyriaki
appear. Take care of them, suture the wounds, and 2 more appear. Finish
them off, then suture the wounds. Then the big guy appears, bringing a
small one with him. Find the small one and get rid of him first. Then
take care of the big guy. After that, suture up the wounds, and it's
time for your 4th Patient.
PATIENT #4
Slicing him open, you should see 3 small wounds and one large wound.
Take care of 'em, and 2 Kyriaki will appear. You should know what to
do at this point. After getting of them and suturing the wounds, 2
more appear. Take them out. Then the big guy appears, and once again
he's accompanied by a smaller one. Just like last time, kill the
smaller one first, and then go ahead and take out the giant one. After
they're done, suture the wounds, and then suture and bandage the
initial wound. Good Work so far, you've only got one patient left.
PATIENT #5
Just one more left! Open him up and you should see 3 small wounds and
one large one again. Fix them all up, and about 3 of these little blue
pest will show up. Clear them out, and suture up all the wounds. After
that, 2 More Kyriaki will come. Once again, just finish these guys off.
You're almost done! The Giant Kyriaki will show up after you suture all
the wounds, and he'll once again bring a little pest with him. Finish
the little guy off first, then take care of the large guy. Once they're
gone, Suture up the wounds. Suture the initial Cut, and it's operation
complete.
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
It's Another Triti Mission. This time, however, it's alot more complex.
Just like last time, all you gotta do is remove the thorns around the
triangle, then remove the triangle. Very simple. I have prepared some
Ascii Art for you once again, so as long as you are patient and follow
my advice, you'll get it. Alright, cut him open, and then switch to
forceps. Pull out the correct triangles/thorns in the order listed
below. Remember, if a thorn turns to mist, drain that quickly, or it
could cause problems. Now then, on to the mission.
STEP ONE:
   *-----*
  / \   / \
 /   \ /   \
*-----7-----6    5
     / \        / \
            \   / \   /
             \ /   \ /
              *-----*
Once thats done, I suggest you wait for the thorns to regrow(Raise the
vitals during that time!) After all the thorns regrow, it's time to
remove the next portion.
STEP TWO:
   *-----*
  / \   / \
 /   \ /   \
*-----6-----7
     / \
    / 8 \
            \   / \   /
             \ /   \ /
              *-----*
You may want to restart if any new triangles grow. After that step is
complete, wait once again for some new thorns to grow, and then start
the next step.
STEP THREE:
   *-----6
  / \   / \
 /   \ / 7 \
*-----5-----4
            \ 8 / \   /
             \ /   \ /
              3-----*
Hopefully if you know how to remove these pieces on your own without
any help at this point. Regardless, there are more steps below, but at
this point, you absolutely have to wait until some new thorns regrow.
STEP FOUR:
   *-----*
  / \   /
 /   \ /
*-----1
                 2-----5
                / \ 6 /
               / 7 \ /
              3-----4
You're almost done! Just wait for that last thorn to regrow, And then
you can start the final phase.
STEP FIVE:
   3-----2
  / \ 6 /
 / 5 \ /
4-----1
Good Job! All of the Triti should be gone at this point(Remember,
restart if new ones regrow unless you have a very good idea of how
Triti works.) After that, all you have to do is suture the patient up,
and then you've successfully handled your 2nd encounter with the Triti.
This mission is very similiar to mission 4-4. To begin, open up the
patient. You'll see some tumors, but you should know what to do. Inject
the matching color serum into each tumor, then cut it out, and excise
it using the forceps. Simple, right? Well here comes the hard part. The
Tetarti will appear, and it will start to move. I hope you have a good
memory, because you're going to have to remember which Tetarti was what
color as the colors disappear quickly. Inject each Tetarti with the
correct color(You may make a mistake as the Tetarti turn very fast.)
After injecting all 3, they disappear, then reappear. Inject all 3
again, and repeat the process a total of 6 times, being careful so that
you don't inject the wrong color into a Tetarti(In doing so, that
Tetarti will make more tumors like the first ones that you should
excise very quickly.) After that, these damn things die out, and you've
done it. Suture the patient up.
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
Open Cybil Up, and let me explain Paraskevi. The way Paraskevi works,
it will burrow deeper into the body as time goes on, it will eventually
make it to the heart, and it will burrow into the heart, which is kind
of like an instant kill to whoever it is you're operating on.
Naturally, you don't want that to happen. You can, however, temporarily
stop the Paraskevi from going any deeper by lasering it's tail. Now,
each time a Paraskevi Worm burrows deeper, it moves up an organ. Once
it moves up to the heart, it can't burrow any deeper without killing
the patient. Heres a chart to show how much time you have.
[Start Point]
      |
 [2nd Organ]
      |
 [3rd Organ]
      |
   [Heart]
Therefore, if any worm burrows a total of 4 times, you lose. Not good.
Now then, on to the mission. To damage the Paraskevi, you must laser
the tail, then cut it in half. After that, the worm will split into
two, causing wounds to form. Laser those and cut the new worms, and
they'll split into 2 each, for 4 total. They'll split into 2 each as
well. You have to keep doing this until they get small enough so that
you can extract them using the forceps. Heres a diagram to show the
total amount of Paraskevi to defeat.
Therefore, to defeat the Paraskevi, you must extract a total of 16 Worm
Bits. I suggest cutting the first in half, then stop one of the worms
that appear, but let the other one escape. It will be too much stress
if you have to laser 16 Worms at once. After the one worm escapes, keep
cutting the other worm and extract as many tiny worms as you can(Try to
aim for 4-6ish.) You need to ignore the wounds they make until they've
all either escaped or have been extracted.
After that, suture up any wounds you see on the organ, and you'll move
to the next organ. You should have the giant worm you let go plus any
smaller ones that made it through. Laser the giant worm to freeze him
while you take care of anything else that made it through.
Once you only have the other giant worm left, concentrate on taking him
down. You'll probably lose at least 1-2 worms into the next organ, but
you should be able to take them all out before they even reach the
heart. Remember to not concentrate on the wounds until you've taken out
every worm in an area. Just be patient but quick, and you should get it.
Start by opening him up. You'll see about 5 small wounds, suture them
up. After that, a another wound will open and some tiny little, shall
we say, Babies will appear. Laser them off immediatly, then suture the
wound. After that, another one wound is going to appear, and more
Babies will come out. Another will come out 2-3 seconds after that, and
then another, until there are about 8ish Wounds and About 50ish babies.
Try to laser off as many as you can even while they're coming out(You
should totally ignore the wounds until all the babies are gone.)
Before all this happens, I suggest you use the healing touch so as to
make sure no babies combine(Which will almost always happen without the
healing touch.) If the babies combine, they'll form a Blue GUILT. This
can also be killed with the laser, but it causes quite a bit of damage
to the vitals.
If one of these blue creatures does form, laser it away quickly.
After taking care of all the Babies/Blue GUILT, it's time to treat all
of the wounds it left. After that, close him up, and you're done.
You shall now see the 7th and Final GUILT: Savato. Open up the
Professor, and you'll see the Savato, and it's surrounded by a web.
NOTE: Before we get into this operation, let me warn you: DO NOT USE THE
HEALING TOUCH UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. There is one part of this mission
that requires you to use the Healing Touch and without it the Operation
becomes unbeatable.
To destroy the Savato, you must first cut the web using the Scapel. Your
scapel will melt as you cut the web, forcing a little downtime on you
while you wait for Angie to hand you another Scapel. The web is made of
multiple prongs, so you must cut the web multiple times to destroy it.
Occasionally, the Savato may make another prong of the web and in the
process make a few babies, like from the last mission. Quickly laser
them before cutting the next prong so that they don't form a Blue GUILT
After you take out the web, the Savato will make another. After taking
that out, the Savato will make one more. After you take that last one
out, It's time to fight the Savato.
He has 2 attacks at this part:
  1.He'll make 3 small wounds.
  2.He'll make a large wound that will also release a couple of babies.
Laser off the babies in that case, and if you can be fast, suture the
wounds as he creates them. To damage the Savato during this part, you
have to laser him. The fire glowing behing him will go down a bit each
time you do. Once it's completely gone, you must use the scapel on him.
He then regrows the fire, so you must laser and cut him again. He
regrows it a third time, but at that point, Victor has a secret weapon
for you: A Black Serum. Repeat the Laser and Cut process, and then
inject the black serum.
The Savato will grow crazy, making cuts EVERYWHERE on the heart. Derek
will use a storyline Healing Touch at this point, but you still have
your normal one. Use that quickly(You have a short amount of time before
the cuts get too bad and you lose the patient.) The combined power of
Derek's Storyline Healing Touch and Your normal Healing Touch will
freeze time. That's right, freeze time.
This lasts until you inject the Savato with the Black Serum again, but
first, if you're looking to score that XS, you may want to spend some
time suturing all the wounds the Savato nade. After injecting the
Savato with the Black Serum, Every wound on the heart will be
automatically healed as this Savato pest dies down.
After the Savato is dead, all thats left it suturing him up. You did a
great job, and now Chapter Five is complete.
Can you say "Easy"? Open the Patient Up, and there isn't even any
tumors to fix. The Tetarti will appear, and then it's kinda like a
Inject each Tetarti with the same color serum they are, and then keep
doing that. There are some parts where the Tetarti will move very
quickly, and you won't get a chance to see thier initial color. You can
easily tell from the Mist though, so don't worry.
The only thing you really have to be careful on is the Vitals, cause
they tend to drop fast. You may want to raise them up every round or
two.
After damaging them a total of 6 times the Tetarti are gone. All that's
left is suturing up the Patient. Easy, right?
As you know, you'll be operating on your most important patient yet:
Derek. Start by opening the heart. Now Derek has 2 types of GUILT, the
only patient to have that in the entire game. He has Kyriaki and
Paraskevi.
Opening him up, you'll see about 4 lacerations on the heart. Suture them
up, and get ready. 2 Kyriaki and 2 Small Paraskevi appear. Paraskevi can
kill Derek if they get into the heart, so laser them. Use the forceps to
extract both Paraskevi quickly. In doing so, 2 More tiny Paraskevi and 3
More Kyriaki Appear. Once again, laser and extract the Paraskevi first.
Take a few seconds to suture some wounds and pump the vitals.
Once the vitals are about 50-60ish, take out the Kyriaki by, as usual,
using the ultrasound, cutting them out, and then lasering them. Once all
5 are destroyed, suture the wounds and pump up the vitals.
After the last wound is all fixed up, the Boss Kyriaki with a Small
Kyriaki and 2 Slightly Larger Paraskevi appear. Laser both Paraskevi,
cut them both, then laser the 4 tiny ones they make, and extract them
all. Then take care of the Kyriaki(Smaller = Kill First!) After all of
the GUILT is finally gone, all thats left is suturing the inside.
After that, suture the first cut, and you're done.
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
Finally, an easy one. As Per Usual, cut the patient open. Inside, you'll
see... Pempti! The best part about this? Aside from being a little bit
stronger, It's the same as Mission 4-10!
So begin by injecting the orange vial into the circle twice, and then
laser the core. When the core hides, take a sec to pump the vitals, then
the realfight begins.
Remember, the Pempti has 3 attacks: The Pink Bits, which, after being
sent out, pause for a moment(Laser them then!) If you don't laser them
in time, they'll make a quick cut along the lung and then disappear. If
this happens, you should try suturing it, but by then, things will start
getting ahead of you, and you'll almost always lose.
Pempti's Second Attack is the Blue Bits. They come at 5 at a time, and
if you're fast, you can take out 2-3 before they get off their move.
The remaining ones you haven't lasered will make tumors along the lung,
that you must laser and then gel the holes that the tumors leave. The
Blue Bits are invincible when they're making tumors, so I suggest that
you take that time to take care of the tumors they're making.
The only other attack that Pempti has is the Spinning Cores. They come
from the Pempti Core and cause alot of damage. The best advice I can
give you for these is to keep a close eye on the Core and laser right in
the middle once the spinning cores come out.
While you're stopping all of the different Pempti attacks, you also need
to damage the Pempti. To do this, wait until the Main Core reappears and
then laser it until it hides again. Once you laser the Core enough times,
the Pempti finally dies.
Once it's gone, simply suture the patient up. Good Job!
This Mission is very Similiar to 5-2. You must operate on 4 Patients in
10 Minutes, but each one has a different type of GUILT. You have two
doctors though, so don't panic. You can use a Healing Touch once on the
First or Third Operations and again on the Second or Fourth.
PATIENT #1
You start with Derek, and the first GUILT is Triti. No Problem. You
should be use to Triti by now. Just remove the Thorns and then the
Triangle. Heres a quick step by step guide, as usual(Remember to Drain
the Thorns if they dissolve!):
STEP ONE:
            5-----7
           / \ 8 /
          / 9 \ /
   1     6-----4-----*
*-----*     *-----3-----*
 \   / \   / \   / \   /
  \ /   \ /   \ /   \ /
   *-----2-----*     *
Well, It's pretty easy so far. Remember to crank up the vitals when
necessary, but besides that, wait for the thorns to come back, then
continue.
STEP TWO:
   4           8-----7
  / \           \ 9 / \
 / 5 \           \ /   \
3-----2     *-----6-----*
 \   / \   / \   / \   /
  \ /   \ /   \ /   \ /
   *-----1-----*     *
Once again, wait for the Thorns, then move on.
STEP THREE:
                     *
                    / \
                   /   \
4-----3     *-----2-----*
 \ 6 / \   / \   / \   /
  \ / 7 \ /   \ /   \ /
   5-----1-----*     *
It's getting down to the wire. Wait and continue...
STEP FOUR:
                     *
                    / \
                   /   \
            4-----2-----*
           / \ 6 / \   /
          / 5 \ /   \ /
         1-----3     *
You're almost done! Once those last thorns regrow...
STEP FIVE:
                     3
                    / \
                   / 6 \
                  4-----2
                   \ 5 /
                    \ /
                     1
Once those last thorns are gone, your done! Suture the patient up, and
we can move on.
PATIENT #2
Weavers(Or Kimishima, whichever you perfer)Turn now. Cut open the
patient, and it's(Dun Dun Dun!) Kyriaki! This should be very easy.
Suture up the small wounds and the bottom of the lung, then drain,
clip, and suture the top wound.
After that, we start slow with 2 Kyriaki. Find, Cut, and laser them, and
then 2 more appear. Take care of 'em, crank up the vitals, suture the
wounds. The big guy will appear with his little buddy, so take 'em out
the same way as always(Little Guy First!)
After all of the Kyriaki are gone, suture up the wounds then close up
the patient. On to the next one.
PATIENT #3
Dereks Turn! You should see about 6-7 blood pools after you open up the
patient. Drain all of them and then the Deftera will appear. Just like
usual, follow them around with the laser until both pairs mix at once.
Drain them both, then you need to repeat the process(Make sure your
lasering away the tumors and draining the blood too!) Third time they
mix, only drain one, then cut the yellow line it makes.
After that, extract the Deftera, fix up the hole with a membrane and gel
then drain the other Deftera when they mix. After you do, cut the yellow
line again, then extract the Deftera and repair the hole. Simple!
Laser away any leftover tumors and drain any blood, then Were off to
the final patient.
PATIENT #4
Last one and your with Weaver. This is somewhat difficult, as your
dealing with a full strain of Paraskevi... ON THE HEART!
Begin by suturing up the 4 cuts you see once you open up your patient,
then the Paraskevi will appear. Theres a golden rule here:Always
cut/extract the smallest available Paraskevi. As long as you do that,
there shouldn't be any real problem. You should even have enough time
to suture the wounds the Paraskevi makes before you laser the new ones.
It takes a fast hand, but pretty soon the Paraskevi will be gone.
Once that happens, suture any remaining wounds, then close the patient
up. Good Job!
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This mission is actually very similiar to Mission 5-9. Once again, you
must deal with Savato, but this time, it's quite a bit stronger, and
you'll have to use two doctors.
You start off with Derek. Just like the last time you dealt with Savato,
cut the prongs of the web with the scapel(There will be some downtime
with the scapel each time you do.) As you cut the prongs, the Savato
will make more prongs, and each time he makes a new one,he'll bring some
babies. Laser off most of the babies(Its okay if 1-2 remain) Make sure
that there aren't too many babies on the screen at once, or else they
could combine to form the Blue GUILT which will rocket the vitals down.
After you destroy the first web, the Savato runs.
It's Weavers turn now. You'll have to repeat the process of destroying
the new web that Savato makes. He'll run back to Dereks Side, and you'll
have to destroy the web again, Only this time, try to leave only 3-5
babies alive when you take out the last prong. You see,after you destroy
this web, the Savato absorbs the babies on the screen and adds them to
his power. A few babies won't kill you,but a ton of Babies/Blue GUILT
will make the Savato too strong. After you knock out the third web, the
Savato moves to it's next phase.
It has two attacks, making a large wound that babies spew out of(laser
them immediatly!) The other attack involves the Savato making 3 small
wounds(Suture them if they become a problem.) To damage the Savato, just
laser him. As you do, the fire behind him will go out. Once the fire is
completely gone, use the scapel on him.
Weavers Turn. Just repeat the process of lasering him multiple times
while he attacks and then cut him open when the fire is gone.
Back to Derek, laser and cut him one more time, and then you're almost
done. After you cut him, get the syringe and inject the black serum into
him.
After you do this, the Savato will go nuts and make lacerations all
across the Heart. About this time, Weaver should use her Healing Touch.
After she does, time will slow down a bit(Plus you'll still get the
effect of Weavers normal Healing Touch!) If you're trying to get an S/XS
then I suggest you take a minute or two here and suture like crazy to
earn a lot of cools. If you just want to complete the mission, or if
your done suturing wounds, Then it's time to finish Savato off.
Use your Healing Touch, then time should stop just like last time.
Inject the serum one more time, and Savato will die. All thats left is
closing up your Patient. Good Job.
      |Chapter Z consists of 5 missions,dealing with a new doctor|
      |named Naomi Weaver. This is one of the new chapters added |
      |to the game from the DS Version, and it contains some of  |
      |the most interesting and unusual missions in the game. You|
      |can play this Chapter right after Chapter 1.The Z Missions|
      |are actually located to the right of the main missions,   |
      |and in order to unlock them, you must a)Beat the Chapter  |
      |that Corresponds to the Mission(Z-1, Chapter 1, Z-2,      |
      |Chapter 2, etc.) and b) Beat the mission that goes before |
      |it (Z-2 is unlocked by beating Z-1, etc.) These missions  |
      |are not required for to beat the main story,but they are  |
      |required to unlock the new Chapter 6(Also Not Available in|
      |the DS Version.)                                          |
Open up the arm, and drain the blood you see. After draining all the
blood, you should still see a red mark. Use the gel on it to cure that.
Now, you should notice about 5 bone fragments scattered about. Extract
all 5 with the forceps. After that, you're gonna have to rotate the
giant twist bone. Grab it, and tilt it so that its facing the same way
as all the other ones.
Now you'll have to put all the bones in place. The order you must place
them in is random, but you should be able to use the bone landscape to
figure out where each one goes, like a puzzle.
After all 5 are in place, use the ultrasound to locate a piece thats
missing. It should be to the top under the bone. After that, cut it out,
then pick it up and tilt it so that it goes in the only available place
on the bone left.
After that, use the gel on the whole bone. Once that's done, just suture
the patient up. Operation Complete.
Okay, first slice the patient open. Inside, you'll see a tumor. Drain
the cytoplasm out of it and then cut the red circle veins that surround
it. After that, extract the tumor with the forceps. and use the laser
to pick off any tinier tumors that this thing made. Use the gel to the
holes that makes, and drain the blood if necessary.
After that, 2 more tumors appear. If you remove one, however, the other
one will grow it back. Therefore, you must drain them both, cut out the
3 veins that is surrounding both of them, and finally extract both
tumors at once.
After that, once again, laser away all the small tumors then gel up the
holes. 4 will then appear at once, but you'll see the Healing Touch you
should be used to seeing. Vitals are gonna be pretty low, but don't
worry. Drain all the tumors, and then look at the vitals. They climbed
up, huh?
You see, while Dereks Healing Touch slows down time, Weavers makes it so
that whenever you do something right, the vitals go up. So all you have
to do is continue the operation, because the vitals will be fine.
After draining all the tumors, cut out the red veins from every one of
them, then extract all 4 at once. After that, just laser away all the
small tumors, gel up the holes, repair your initial cut, and its over.
|Flash Used 3/2/1 Times Or Less      |XS Rank: 6600 Points|
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
In this mission you'll be almost totally in the dark. You'll have a
penlight, which you can use by pressing the button you see to the left.
Once you press the button, you may aim the penlight, then press a
button so the light stays in place. You'll have to do that for the
whole operation.
Now then, to begin. The first area I suggest you aim it is in the top
right corner of the body. You'll see 3 wounds to take care of. Suture
them up, and then move the penlight over to the left to see a shard of
glass. Pull the glass out using the forceps slowly, then use the gel on
the small cut.
Push to the penlight to the middle of the bottom of the body, and drain
the large cut. Clip it together using the forceps, then suture it. Now
you'll have to make a cut into the body. This can be difficult, as the
limited range of the penlight can't show you the full cut you'll have to
make. Run up and down the cut with the penlight once or twice to get a
feel for it, then place the penlight at the top or the bottom and make
the cut.
Now that you're inside the body, move the penlight to the upper left
corner of the organ. Suture the 3 wounds you see, then move to the
bottom right. Pull the glass out and then gel up the small cut. Move to
the top right, drain the wound, clip the wound, then suture it. You're
not done yet. Now you'll have to move up in the organ and deal with more
wounds.
I suggest you use the Healing Touch now, or this will be extremely
difficult. The penlight will burn out in about a second, but then you'll
find a camera. Push the button to the side to activate the camera,
similiar to the penlight, and the camera will start charging up.
Once the flash goes off, You'll be able to see the entire area of the
wound for a few short moments. Try to suture up all of the small wounds
you see in one flash, then get the glass out and drain the large one
in the next flash. After everythings been taken care of, the lights will
come back on. Of course. Suture up the initial cut you made and you're
done.
|Finished B4 Vasoconstrictor Wore Off|XS Rank: 5400?Points|
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
This is a really annoying mission. Start by opening the patient up. Once
inside, you'll see two tumors. I suggest you use the Healing Touch
immediatly. Start by draining both tumors, then cutting all the circle
veins off of one. Then do the same to the other one. Extract both, then
laser away any remaining tiny tumors. Use the gel to heal all of the
holes, and then it's time to place the Kidney.
Grab it with the forceps, then carefully place it in the middle of the
big space where the tumors use to be. After it's in place, switch to the
syringe and inject the vasoconstrictor(The blue vial) directly in the
reddish vein to the right side(It's pretty large.)
After you've injected enough Vasoconstrictor, you'll see a yellow line
you can cut. Cut it, and then it's will start bleeding. Drain the blood,
then carefully grab the red vein of the Kidney with your forceps and
connect it to the hole. Once thats in place, inject the vasoconstrictor
again into the blue vein(I usually inject it at the point the veins
cross towards the bottom.) Just like before, keep injecting it until you
see a yellow line that you can cut. Cut it, drain it, then grab the blue
vein on the Kidney and connect it like before.
Only one vein left! You see the yellowish-green thing on the bottom of
the screen? You should see some new lines in it you can cut(You don't
have to inject the Vasoconstrictor.) After it's cut, grab the yellowish
green thing and connect it up.
Once thats done, all you must do is suture up your patient. Good Job!
+------------------------------------+--------------------+
It's a Kyriaki mission. Begin by cutting open the patient and suturing
the 3 initial wounds you'll see. 3 Kyriaki will appear after that, but
you know how to handle them. Use the ultrasound, cut them out, laser
them dead, suture up the wounds. Piece of cake.
After the Kyriaki are dead and the wounds are sutured, 3 strange new
GUILT appear. You DON'T wanna kill them. While they're in the body,
vitals are capped at 36 for some reason(Odd number, am I right?) Suture
up the wound the new GUILT made, and 2 more Kyriaki will show up. This
part can be tricky. You need to find the Kyriaki, cut them out, and kill
them with the laser, but you don't wanna hit the Blue GUILT with the
laser. So be careful and watch your aim, because with the vitals capped
at 36, you can lose a patient quickly.
Cap out the vitals after the Kyriaki are dead, then suture up the
wounds. After that, the big guy shows up. Vitals will drop quickly, so
you may wanna suture some wounds before you deal with him. Kill the big
guy like normal, but remember to keep the vitals up and suture if the
wounds get too bad.
Once the big guy is dead, suture up the remaining wounds and raise the
vitals. Now you'll have to inject a black serum into each of the Blue
GUILT, then extract them with the forceps. They don't go too fast, so
this shouldn't be too tough.
Once all 3 have been extracted, close the patient up. You did well, and
Chapter Z is complete.
      |The X-Missions are unlocked after beating the game.They're|
      |incredibly difficult, and they are not necessary to beat  |
      |the game in any way, shape, or form.They don't even extend|
      |the storyline. The only reasons to play the X-Missions are|
      |if you want an extra challenge, if you want to complete   |
      |them for a perfect file, or if you want to find out why   |
      |ADAM made each type of GUILT found in the game(He explains|
      |why before each mission.) If you wish to complete these,  |
      |then good luck and read below...
You need to master one skill before attempting this: Quickly Suturing
Wounds. If you can't do that, don't even try this yet. Go back to the
previous Kyriaki missions and master that skill. If you can quickly
suture wounds, then your ready for your first X Mission against the
"Concealed Blades" Kyriaki.
If you find you aren't fast enough with your sutures, I suggest playing
mission 6-8. Get to the final stage, when the Savato goes nuts, but
before you use your healing touch, suture the wounds like crazy. Tons of
great practice to be had there.
Now then, after you cut open the patient, you'll see 4 large wounds and
3 small wounds. Suture 2 of the small wounds then drain, clip, and
suture the 4 large wounds. With only one small wound left, you need to
max out the vitals.
Once they're maxed, suture the last wound, and 3 Kyriaki appear. Unlike
the previous Kyriaki missions, you don't want to ignore the wounds.
Suture them as they're made. Now then, use the ultrasound to find and
cut out all 3 of the Kyriaki, because once you kill 2, 2 more will
appear. Remember to keep suturing the wounds and laser all 3 of the
Kyriaki currently outside the organ. The 2 more I mentioned earlier will
appear after that. Find them both, and cut them out while remembering to
suture all wounds, however this time you want to leave the 2 small
wounds made from making the cut to get the Kyriaki out of the organ.
After lasering the 2 Kyriaki, max out the vitals before gelling up the
small wounds I told you to leave. Once the Vitals are maxed and you gel
the wounds, the big guy appears with a little buddy. Quickly fix the
initial wounds, then hunt down the tiny Kyriaki. Finish him off, raise
the vitals a bit, and then kill the boss Kyriaki. Remember to suture the
wounds as you go!
After the boss Kyriaki is dead, all that's left is suturing up the
initial cut. Good work, but that was a challenge, wasn't it? The rest of
the missions are even worse.
+------------------------------------+
Deftera, the "Creeping Tumors" is a real pain in the ass. The Major
Issue: It's 90% Luck. Start by opening him up, and once inside, You'll
see some tumors to laser. Laser them quick before they regrow, but let
one of them regrow one tiny tumor. Kill the large tumor, so that the
only thing left is the tiny one. Crank up the vitals, then laser the
last tumor.
The Deftera are going to appear. You'll have to wait it out until they
combine together(You may have heard of a trick where the Deftera won't
cross an Antibiotic Gel trail. That's a bad idea, as while the Gel will
rocket the Deftera back the way it came, when these stupid things hit
the gel, they will spike the vitals down by 25-30 points. Not good.)
You'll have to laser the tumors as the Deftera makes them, and drain any
blood you see(Blood is First Priority.) Keep lasering and draining until
the Deftera mix with each other.
Once that happens, drain them. They will lose some color, as usual.
Repeat the process of waiting them out then draining them 2 more times.
If the vitals get too low, raise them immediatly(Raising them will be
uneffective if there are tumors about.)
The third time they mix, drain 'em, and as usual, they will start
rapidly spinning, and you'll see a line you can cut. Cut this line
QUICKLY, for the vitals are going to shoot down incredibly fast. After
cutting it, the first pair of Deftera are gone. Extract them with the
forceps, place the membrane, gel it up, then laser/drain anything left.
Suture up the initial wound, and then it's off to the lung. Raise the
vitals to MAX before you cut him open.
Once inside, 2 Pairs of Deftera will appear like before. You need luck
here. This is basically the same as the last organ, except you want to
PRAY TO GOD that the Deftera don't mix with the same color. If they do,
then the vitals will shoot down and tumors will appear quickly. You can
try to laser these things away and crank up the vitals, but there isn't
much of a chance there.
Now, when the Deftera combine with the right color, then both pairs will
usually do it at once. Drain them both with the chance, and keep
lasering and draining as you keep this up.
The third time they mix, only drain one, and only drain him if your
vitals are 60+ because as you know, once you drain him the third time,
he will spin quickly and you've got to cut the lines. Extract him, place
the membrane, gel it up, raise the vitals, then repeat the process with
the other pair.
Once both pairs are outta there, All that you need to do is laser and
drain anything left on the lung. Close the patient up after that, and
you're finally done. From this pain in the ass operation it's all
downhill.
+------------------------------------+
Ugh. Now it's time to face the "Contagious Nightmare" Triti. This is
similiar to the previous Triti Missions except that you are gonna need
to go FAST. The thorns regrow quickly and you don't wanna have to deal
with more Triti then you want to deal with. Okay, just like before, I
have a picture guide prepared for you. Just follow this CAREFULLY, and
you should be okay.
STEP ONE:
*-----*     *-----*
 \   / \   / \   /
  \ /   \ /   \ /
   1-----2-----3
        / \
       /   \
      *-----*
       \   /
        \ /
   5-----4-----8
    \11 / \ 9 /
     \ /10 \ /
      6-----7
You're gonna have to go pretty quickly if you wanna make it before the
thorns regrow. As usual, if you don't have a good idea of how Triti
works, then just restart if new triangles grow. Now, after you wait for
the thorns to regrow, you need to move on to the next step.
STEP TWO:
*-----*     *-----*
 \   / \   / \   /
  \ /   \ /   \ /
   1-----2-----3
        / \
       / 7 \
      5-----6
       \ 8 /
        \ /
         4
Once again, move fast when you do this. If some Thorns turn into mist,
then wait until you've finished the current step you are on to drain it
(Don't worry, it can't affect anything that quickly.)
STEP THREE:
*-----*     4-----5
 \   / \   / \ 6 /
  \ /   \ / 7 \ /
   1-----2-----3
You've gotta go very fast to make it through this one. After this,
however, it's smooth sailing. Just remember to keep up the vitals!
STEP FOUR:
4-----3
 \ 5 / \
  \ / 6 \
   1-----2
After that, you're finally done. Suture the Patient up, and you're
done.
+------------------------------------+
When you open up the patient, you'll see 3 tumors growing. Inject the
proper color serum into a tumor, cut the tumor, but if you excise it,
you won't have enough time to get rid of the other 2 before they
rupture. So just leave it there, and repeat the inject and cut method
to the other two. Once you've done that, excise all 3 at once. Place
the membranes on the holes, and then crank up the vitals to max. Gel
up the membranes, and then the "Syncronized Venom" Tetarti will
appear.
Now all you have to do is inject the correct serum into the correct
Tetarti as you should know how to do by now. Try to raise the vitals
every other round or so. After about 6 rounds, they'll die out.
All that you have to do is suture the wound. Simple, huh? Well, this is
probably the easiest of the X Missions, both to complete and to score
an XS on(God knows this was the first X Mission I XSed.)
Are you ready to face the "Armored Bacteria" Pempti? Open the patient
up, and inside you'll see the familiar Pempti mist. Use the Syringe
with the Orange Vial and inject it into the circle twice to make the
core show up. Once it does, laser it. It'll hide for a second, use that
time to heal the patient up a little real quick.
You'll see it again, but it cannot be lasered until it surfaces. It
will surface randomly, so laser it then. While you wait for it to
surface, it will throw out the cores it's so well known for.
When it sends out Pink ones, you can laser them dead before they attack.
For the blue ones, you can laser the top one and in the middle of the
two on either side(Lasering in the middle will cause them both to die.)
The other two that you can't kill in time, however, will make tumors.
Laser the tumors quickly as they go back down, then gel them up before
finishing off the blue cores.
The spinning cores will come out of the main core, but if you center
your laser on the core, you'll finish 'em off before they even attack.
Thus, the only true foe in this mission is the blue cores.
Occasionally, the Pempti will stop for a second. Use this time to crank
the vitals a bit. You'll probably damage the main core as you kill the
tiny cores anyway, so don't directly focus on the main core unless you
have a second and the vitals are full.
After you hit the main core a good 10-12 times, it finally dies. All
that's left is suturing up the wound. Great Work!
|SPECIAL BONUSES:                    |Vitals    |Paraskevi|
+------------------------------------|Start:  35|         |
|No Mistakes                         |Max:    50|         |
|Completed With 90 Left              |XS Rank:11000 Points|
|Max Chain Over 50                   |--------------------+
+------------------------------------+
As I'm sure you've noticed, you have a fairly low vital limit. Start by
opening up the person, and you'll see 3 cuts. Suture them up, and then
crank up the vitals to max. The Paraskevi will appear soon after that,
so laser the tail when it does. Cut it, then quickly suture the wounds.
Laser the tail of one of the new worms, but let the other worm go
deeper. It'll make it easier, trust me.
Now, each time you cut a Paraskevi, vitals drop by a good 30 points or
so. So, if you cut another worm, because of the drop to the vitals, the
Patient is dead. You'll have to heal up the patient each time you cut a
worm.
To save time, only raise the vitals to about 38+. The first couple times
I tried this mission I kept running out of time because I was trying to
max out the vitals after every cut. When I realized I could get away
with only 38 points, I managed to XS this mission quickly.
Now then, do your best to laser, cut, suture, laser, raise vitals, and
then repeat on every Paraskevi(Always cut/extract the smallest one.) Try
to extract as many as you can(Some worms may burrow deeper, thats okay.)
If you can, try to get rid of a good 6-8 of the 8 worms you can get on
the first organ.
After clearing out all the worms on the first organ, it's time to move
on to the second. On the second organ, clear out anything that made it
past, but just laser the other large worm to keep it there for now.
After clearing out everything except the large worm, Repeat the process
on that one. You can probably knock out most of the second worm in the
second organ, but feel free to let a few worms slide into the third
organ. Try not to let any worms get past that one, though.
After destroying the Paraskevi, all that's left is suturing up your
patient. Nice Job, you've defeated the "Arrow to the Heart" Paraskevi
and there's only one more of these damn missions.
|SPECIAL BONUSES:                    |Vitals    |Savato   |
|No Mistakes                         |Max:    99|         |
|Completed With 90 Left              |XS Rank:28000 Points|
|                                    |--------------------+
+------------------------------------+
Now for the last X Mission. It's time to battle the "Face-off with
Death" Savato. Start by opening the patient and then you will see
Savato and his web. As usual, you have to knock out 3 of the webs. A
Tip: Cut in the Middle of two Web Prongs to be able to quickly destroy
the web. The Savato may make some babies, but don't even worry about
them until the last web.
When you've knocked out 2 webs and you're on your third, destroy every
one of the babies. After knocking out the last prong, The babies will
be absorbed by the Savato, and that will make him more powerful. If he
abosrbs 1 or 2 babies that's not a huge deal, but any more than that
will cause some problems.
Now then, once you've knocked out the third web, the real fight will
start. You'll have to laser the Savato several times to destroy the fire
on his back, and then cut him once the fire is fully gone. It takes alot
to laser him, and he moves fast, but with determination, you can take
him down.
While you try to fight him, he'll makes numerous cuts along the heart
(Be fast at suturing and fix them immediatly!) He may also make some
babies you should laser as fast as possible. After you laser/cut him a
total of 3 times, he'll slow down. Time to inject the black serum with
the syringe.
After you do, he'll beginning to freak out and make lots of cuts
quickly, and the first healing touch, as usual, will be used. If you're
going for that XS, take some time and suture the wounds. As Derek,
suture a few then Crank the Vitals a bit, but as Naomi, just keep
suturing. When you're ready to defeat this thing, use the Healing Touch
again. Time will stop, so just inject the black serum one more time.
After that, Savato is dead. Just close the patient up and you're all
done. Good work,the X-Missions are complete.
==========FAQ==========[FAQ  ]
Q.What's New in Second Opinion?
A.Well, Trauma Center:Second Opinion is a remake of the DS Classic,
Trauma Center:Under the Knife. However, aside from having the same Name
and storyline, virtually nothing is the same. The control system is
completely remade, the game was change to be A LOT easier, they took
out Chapter 6 of the first game and replaced it with a new one which
happens after the original Chapter 6 occurs. They also added a new
Chapter Z, a side story which ties in with the main story. All of these
new features make Second Opinion and almost completely different game.
Q.Is there any way to get a Cool when using the Antibiotic Gel?
A.Nope. The Best you can get is an OK. You see, when you score an OK
on something, that means that you can't do any better on it. However,
if you were to score a Bad or Good on it, then you can improve it.
Q.What's the Deal with Derek and Angie?
A.Well, as the game starts, Angie sees Derek as an inexperienced rookie
who shes wasting her time on. As the game goes on, she discovers that
Derek truly has a lot of potential, and eventually, she falls in love
with him, and with Derek, the feeling is the same.
Q.How exactly do the S/XS Rankings Work?
A.To Score an S/XS on a Mission, you must first complete the mission
with all special bonuses. Then you must also achieve a very high score.
And Remember, On Easy or Normal Mode, the Highest Rank you can score is
an S. You can only score an XS on Hard or Extreme Mode.
Q.Whats this I hear about a Trauma Center 2?
A.Er, that could refer to many things.
           - Trauma Center: Under the Knife, the original game this game
             is based off.
           - Trauma Center: New Blood, a sequel to the original made for
             the wii.
           - Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2, a direct sequel to the
             original thats takes place three years after this game.
