This document is a translation of my other Dutch walkthrough. While 
translating I did not play the game anymore, so it is possible that some 
translations (Especially names for items, locations, etcetera!) are not 
entirely correct. Read the tips below before you start the game and use this 
walkthrough. These remarks contain valuable information about using this FAQ 
or the game.

New York is a pretty big city so it can take you a lot of time to move from 
one point to another in Parallel Lines. Next to the available transportation 
there is another way to move around more quickly. Using three of Ray’s garages 
and your Safe House you can travel to each of these locations by standing 
inside a green glow and choosing Relocate. You can do this on foot, but if 
you’re in a car you’ll be moved to the chosen location with car and all. If 
you’re not on a mission, choosing Restart will bring you back to a garage.

The missions will appear in an unpredictable order, this depends on the order 
in which you complete previous missions. In the walkthrough it is indicated 
when a new bunch of missions is unlocked and that you can complete them in any 
order you want. It might be possible that the order in which they are in this 
document differs from the order in which you play them. The yellow dots on 
your map are the available missions, when you move the cursor over them you 
can see their names and when you press square you can even see the mission 
briefing.

The police are well represented in New York and they’ll often make life harder 
for you than necessary. Parallel Lines uses a system that separately remembers 
the heat on the car you’re in and the heat on the main character itself. The 
heat of the car is shown in the bottom left of the screen. The higher it is, 
the more aggressive the police will be in their pursuit. To the right is the 
personal heat meter, this is only important when traveling on foot. These 
meters do affect each other. By getting into another car without being seen 
you can lose the heat on your transportation. If you are seen while doing 
this, the heat of the vehicle will transfer to you and the new vehicle will 
also have a filled heat meter right away.

In many missions it is important that you have a good car. Because you have to 
travel a lot, have to take enemy fire and to withstand accidents better. By 
completing optional missions you can earn money, you can spend this money on 
improving the cars you have stored in Ray’s garage. In that way it might be 
possible that a mission will become easier, because the material you work with 
better fits the demands of the mission.

The Kid is a young and talented driver who offers his services to earn some 
money. He isn’t very famous or rich, because he only gets involved in small 
stuff. A friend of him and the owner of some garages in New York, Ray, 
introduces him to a more influential person. This Slink gets The Kid more 
involved in bigger jobs and he even wants to use him in the common cause 
mission with multiple people.

To get more money from dealing drugs, the group in which The Kid now takes 
part wants to kidnap a Colombian drug baron for ransom. Everyone is 
responsible for his own part of the plan and The Kid is the one executing it. 
The mission seems like a success, but The Kid takes the fall and ends up in 
jail for 28 years. When he gets out he can finally execute his plans to take 
out his former colleagues.

[THE KID]
The main character in the game. A talented driver, but he seems to mind his 
own business and to be okay with everything.
 
[RAY]
A friend of The Kid and the owner of a couple of garages in New York. Ray 
helps The Kid with maintaining and improving his transportation.

[SLINK]
An entrepreneur who does have same business for The Kid to work on. He 
introduces him to the rest of the final team.

[THE MEXICAN]
The name of the Mexican is not known, but Slink introduces The Kid to him to 
be able to do more assignments.

[BISHOP]
Bishop used to be in a special military unit and his expertise within the 
group is heavy weaponry.

[CANDY]
Candy is the one planning the missions into the smallest details. The Kid is 
the one that breaks him out of jail.

[CORRIGAN]
Corrigan is the leader of the team. He doesn’t execute much himself, but he is 
the one that seems to make everything possible.

[MARTINEZ]
Rafael Martinez is a Colombian drug baron. He gets kidnapped by Corrigan’s 
team to be able to take over the drug dealing business.

[CORTEZ]
Maria Cortez works as a contact for Candy. In 2006 The Kid is introduced to 
her when trying to get to Candy.

not all buttons have a function by default in the game! These are the default 
settings, it’s a possibility that they can be adjusted to your own liking!

Keep paying attention during the movie, the control over the getaway car will 
suddenly be handed to you. Just keep going straight and you’ll get an 
explanation about the mini map. At the park right in front of you it’s best to 
go left and then right again straight away so that you drive around the left 
side of the park. Ahead you’ll get more information about the mini map and the 
stuff shown in the bottom left of the screen. When past the park you can drive 
the last part in any way you like, you need to get to the yellow arrow. Use 
the mini map and the large map by pressing Start of necessary. Arrived at the 
indicated location, turn into the alley and stop the car inside the glow. Your 
passenger will get out of the car, after which a new goal will appear on your 
mini map. Use the map and drive through the top of Harlem and through the 
Bronx to the indicated location. If necessary you can get out of the car to 
get another one, you can do both with triangle. Once there, drive around the 
garage building to head inside on the other side.

You’ll be told that new assignments become available whenever the radio icon 
appears in the right of your screen. Next to the garage another glow has 
appeared, step inside it to take on this mission. Get into a car and drive it 
to the indicated location. In the alley where you end up is a busted car that 
belongs to Slink, get into this vehicle and take the same route back to Ray’s 
garage where you came from. Drive safer this time, because you’re not allowed 
to do much damage to the car. Park the car inside the garage and you’ll get a 
short tutorial on how you can repair and customize your cars here. Select the 
Repair icon and choose Yes to fix up the car, then take care of the Clear 
Felony. At Buy Parts, go to Accessories, there you can pick a free upgrade to 
your car. In this case the Tinted Glass is the least useful and the Bullet-
proof Tyres are probably the best option. Using Respray and then Base Colour 
you can determine the color of the car that fits you best. Then you can 
continue to the Performance Parts to get a Stage 1 upgrade on your Engine. By 
choosing Store Vehicle you save this car and Ray can always tow it back and 
repair it. Choose Exit Garage to get outside and to meet Slink again. He will 
give you the assignment to pass by speed guns at certain speeds. These 
locations will be indicated on your map. At the first one you need to go at 
least sixty and at the second one at least seventy. You can get to these 
speeds pretty easily by just accelerating a bit in advance, but for the last 
speed gun you need to go at least a hundred. To do this you need to drive at 
full speed for quite a while and don’t bump into anything.

To start this mission you need to drive quite a distance to a location in 
Queens. You’ll learn how to handle weapons, both on foot and from inside 
vehicles. Read the given descriptions carefully so that you know what to do. 
Pull your weapon with L1, by holding L1 you can aim at the available targets 
and cycle through them with the right analog stick. Shoot the barrels to be 
able to continue. The goal is to keep L1 pressed to aim at the car and then 
run around it shooting to hit the car on all sides. Keep a lock on the target 
at all times and try to shoot the windows on all sides. In the next part you 
need to shoot the tires of another car. So stand up against the blockade and 
grab your weapon, then press R2 to aim manually. Aim at the tires and fire 
with R1 as always. When both tires are flat, Slink will tell you to blow up 
the car, shoot at the top of the engine to do so. In the last part you will 
have to chase a car while shooting at it. With L1 you aim at the car and once 
again R1 is pulling the trigger, but now you also need to watch the steering 
and chasing. Keep close, but don’t bump into the target car.

You need to help Ray by coughing of some money. You’ll start near a racing 
circuit and the yellow glow is the glow in which you need to stand as soon as 
you’ve made 1500 dollars or more. You can do this by completing multiple other 
smaller assignments, like races or retrieving money for others. These 
assignments are indicated on your map with red dots. They will temporarily 
disappear when you complete the assignment there, but they will reappear later 
on. With races you can also determine the difficulty setting. When you’ve 
collected 1500 dollars or more with these odd jobs, which you can check by 
pressing the Start button, you can return to where the mission started to meet 
Ray at the yellow glow over there.

Start this mission by driving over to the indicated location on your map. The 
mission is to steal a specific car, get the police to follow you, get rid of 
them again and then return the car. Move to the specified car and get inside. 
The goal is to attract the attention of the cops. Meanwhile you’ll get an 
explanation on how the police system and the heat meters work. It’s easy to 
get the police to follow you by bumping into one of their cars. When they’re 
chasing you, just drive around the block a couple of times but try to stay 
close to the location where you picked up the car. As soon as you lose the 
cops you need to bring the car back over there. Make sure there aren’t any 
cops around when you get out of the car and walk away. Take distance from the 
car to complete this mission.

Slink will introduce you to this Mexican guy in Coney who has some jobs for 
you. After this introduction three yellow dots will appear on your map and you 
can choose in which order you want to do these missions. This mission is 
started by going to the indicated location in the park between Queens and 
Brooklyn. The goal is to steal three cars and deliver them. First get into the 
tow truck appearing in the garage that just opened up. You’ll use this car the 
entire mission, so don’t damage your car too much. The first car is indicated 
on your map, so driver over to it. As soon as you take the car another car 
will show up filled with people that shoot at you. Try to locate these people 
before taking the car and driver over them or shoot them down. At the third 
car these guys are clearly visible. Take the car by slowly backing up the rear 
of your car towards the car’s front bumper. You need to line up exactly in the 
middle and don’t bump into it. When the car is attached to you truck it will 
drive differently, so keep that in mind. If you do have shooting people 
following you, ignore them and weave through traffic to try and lose them. 
Return to the garage and press R3 when prompted to drop off the car there. A 
new car will be shown on your mini map, also pick up this one and the one 
after that. As soon as all the cars have been delivered you need to talk to 
the guy in the booth to successfully complete the mission.

\ G / BREAD RUN /

Slink will introduce you to this Mexican guy in Coney who has some jobs for 
you. After this introduction three yellow dots will appear on your map and you 
can choose in which order you want to do these missions. Start this mission by 
going to the indicated location in Harlem. In this mission you need to visit 
four locations that appear on your map right from the start of the mission. 
It’s all going smooth until you get to the first club. Stop inside the glow to 
pick up the money, when you continue cars with armed men will show up. Just 
try to drive fast and lose them in traffic. Only switch cars when yours is 
totally busted and quickly get into another one. Create a smooth route along 
all the clubs and stop inside the glow at each location to get the money. Some 
clubs are located in alleys and when you try to exit more cars will try to 
block your way. So reduce your speed at alleys to the side and alley exits so 
that you can drive past the cars nicely instead of bumping into them hard. 
When you’ve been to all the clubs, take the fastest route back to where you 
started to hand over the money to Slink.

\ H / LAST CHANCE /

Slink will introduce you to this Mexican guy in Coney who has some jobs for 
you. After this introduction three yellow dots will appear on your map and you 
can choose in which order you want to do these missions. This mission starts 
at the yellow dot in the western most part of the map and it will only start 
when you enter the yellow glow on a motorcycle. The mission is a race against 
a Mexican’s other driver. He will start too soon, so chase him as soon as you 
regain control. On your way you’ll be bothered by cars with armed men inside. 
There’s little you can do about it, so just keep driving fast while avoiding 
accidents. Use the large map and mini map to see where you need to go, when 
your opponent is in front of you it’s not always best to follow him. When you 
pass through the second checkpoint, keep to the right of the road to jump over 
a hill and avoid two cars. At the end of the first part of the winding road 
there are two more cars blocking the road, drive past them over the sidewalk 
to the left or right. Past the third checkpoint you need to navigate through 
the mountains on curving road. Jump over another hill on the right side of the 
road again past two more cars. In the S-turn following the next checkpoint you 
can go up the grass to skip the last part of the turn. Directly past the next 
checkpoint two more cars will block the road, use the sidewalk to drive past 
them. The race ends at the next checkpoint.

After unlocking the Safe House you will meet Bishop. Immediately after that 
three more missions will appear on your map and you can complete them in a 
random order. This mission is the one in the outer west, when you get there 
you’ll be told that you need to scare the living daylights out of this prison 
employee to get some information out of him. Get behind the wheel of the 
sports car he wants to sell and drive to the left. By driving faster than a 
hundred and performing other stunts, like spinning around, you will fill up 
the Fear meter. Especially jumps will make the meter fill up rather quickly. A 
little head is an open container with a ramp inside which you can use to jump, 
there are also multiple locations where little ramps will result in long 
jumps. Try to avoid accidents, as you need to complete the entire mission in 
this vehicle. Every time you fill up the Fear meter the guard will be asked a 
question, so drive normally then to spare the car during your passenger’s 
answer. Again the Fear meter will appear, so repeat what you just did to fill 
it up again. This will happen four times in total, after that you need to 
bring back the guard to his house to finish the mission.

\ J / PADDY WAGON /
 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
After unlocking the Safe House you will meet Bishop. Immediately after that 
three more missions will appear on your map and you can complete them in a 
random order. This is the mission that you can start up north in Queens. When 
you get to the yellow glow to start the mission, an armored police van will 
depart together with two normal police cars. Chase them and switch to your 
standard weapon with unlimited ammunition. Start shooting at the police car 
following the van, it will leave the convoy to take you on. Keep standing 
still and fire at this police car from a distance until it explodes, then 
quickly catch up with the armored van before it gets too far away. It would be 
good to also take out the other cop car, it would make everything a whole lot 
easier. People will start shooting from the back of the van as well though, so 
switch to your strongest weapon (Preferably a fast firing one!) and shoot 
back. When you’ve done enough damage to the van it will stop, but all the 
security personnel will get out of it. Quickly drive away from the car and 
prepare to take out the guards by driving over them or shooting them. Only get 
out of your car when it is safer and quickly get into the armored van.

\ K / ROSALITA RACER /

After unlocking the Safe House you will meet Bishop. Immediately after that 
three more missions will appear on your map and you can complete them in a 
random order. You can find this mission in the Queens park and you can only 
start it when driving a customized car or motorcycle. You can select the car 
you had to fit with an engine upgrade in the beginning of the game for this. 
The goal is to get to the other location from the starting point. Use the map 
to determine the best route for yourself, it isn’t always the one the other 
racers take. They will fire at you, so shooting back is allowed. Eventually 
you’ll get to the indicated location, the Mexican’s car named Rosalita is 
standing there. Get out of your car and quickly into Rosalita, if you’re not 
the first to do so you will fail the mission. Evade the other racers and make 
your way back to the starting position, the cops will be on your tail as well. 
Watch the meter in the top left of your screen, when it is empty Rosalita will 
be completely destroyed and the mission will end. When you’re able to get back 
to the starting point you will complete the mission.

This mission becomes available right after Turning The Screw, in any case when 
following the above order of missions, and can be started in the north of New 
Jersey. Slink will give you a motorcycle which you need to use for this 
mission. So get on it and follow the helicopter taking off. It will drop a 
package every now and then, so don’t come to close to the helicopter or you 
will miss those packages. Pick up all of them and take the same route as the 
helicopter, if you follow it close enough you will make jumps over multiple 
containers. The first one will launch you over a fence, the second one over 
water to a bridge and another one along star hanging in the air. A little 
later you need to drive up some ramps to get up higher onto stacked containers 
and follow the route further. The last packages is harder to get and you need 
to enter through the entrance of an industrial property for it. To the right 
of the building is a cop near some barrels underneath a walkway. Shoot at the 
barrels to make the walkway come down and use it as a ramp to jump over the 
hole. Inside you need to go over the seesaw, up the stairs and to the right 
around the small building. Make sure you have enough speed to use the boards 
to get over onto the other roof, then go right and over the bump to pick up 
the last package. Now you need to bring everything back to Slink, in the back 
right of the roof you can go down using some ramps. If necessary you can 
switch motorcycles inside the warehouse. Then drive back to the starting point 
while doing your best to shake off the cops following you.

\ M / JAIL BREAK /

This mission will become available after Paddy Wagon, in case you play all the 
missions in the above order, and can be started at Ray’s La Guardia garage. 
Get into the armored van standing next to the garage and drive it over to the 
entrance of the prison. When stopping inside the yellow glow there the guard 
from a previous mission will let you through, so continue when the gate is 
open and also drive through the next gates. Ahead, go to the left just before 
you reach the prison, through a fence and to the building area. Stop inside 
the yellow glow and leave the van behind there, to the left inside the ditch 
is a bulldozer you need to use. An obstacle course has been put out all over 
the building area, follow it nicely and ignore the people shooting at you. 
Eventually you’ll come to the wall you need to break down, so pick up some 
speed and drive straight through it. Park right next to the door with the 
yellow glow next to it and get out so you can go inside there. In the 
beginning there’s a lot of health next to the cells, pick something up to heal 
if necessary and return here if you need more. Go to the right into the 
hallway and shoot the guard, quickly grab his machine gun and use it from 
there. Use it to shoot the guard ahead. When you look to the left you can see 
a guard behind some crates, shoot him while running up to him and kill him 
before you take shelter behind the crates with L2. In the open area there are 
more officers and you need to shoot your way through them. Keep taking cover 
with L2, take out one guard at a time and slowly move forward. Pick up all 
their weapons, use the strongest available weapon and look out for health 
packs. In this space you can find health around the corner to the left and 
also behind the counter all the way on the other side. There is an obvious 
route you need to follow, a lot of the room is blocked off by tables and 
objects. When you get to the kitchen there will be three guards. Shoot them 
from cover and watch out for the third guard in the alcove in the back right, 
there is also some health there. Walk into the next room to run into Candy, 
you’ll be placed inside the escape van with him automatically. Smash through 
the fence and follow the route to the right. Pick up some speed and drive 
through all the fences and guards, including the ones at the last gate. Watch 
Candy’s health, stay in front of the police and you won’t have to worry about 
keeping him alive. On your way to the indicated location you need to get rid 
of the police, then drop off Candy at the right spot in the industrial area.

\ N / CIRCUIT BREAKER /

This mission will become available after Rosalita Racer, in case you play all 
the missions in the above order, and can be started at Ray’s garage in Hunt’s 
Point. You’ll have to enter two races, one here and one at La Guardia. Your 
goal is not to win yourself, another car with an arrow above it is in the race 
and the goal is to make sure this car wins. You need to do everything you can 
to make this car win. The first race consists of six laps and there’s a point 
with an intersection. This is a good location to block off the opponents. You 
can also drive along with them and bump the racers in front of the marked car 
to the side. If you do enough damage to them they can even drop out of the 
race. It’s the easiest to drive in the opposite direction and hit the cars 
full on. The is the most effective when they’re driving in a straight line 
behind each other, but you need to be careful not to let your own car take too 
much damage. To prevent this you can also stand on the track sideways to block 
it off or drive into them in reverse. The second race has only three laps, so 
you need to work more quickly here. The marked care is usually able to 
maintain its position, but you need to help it advance by taking out the cars 
in the lead. Make sure you don’t bother the marked car in your actions against 
the other racers.

Finally you get to meet the mysterious Corrigan and a new mission will become 
available. Make your way to the yellow dot near Ray’s garage in La Guardia to 
start this one. The indicated car is located on top of the parking garage 
right behind you. To the left of this garage is a ramp leading up to a large 
bunch of containers. There is a hole between the ramp and the containers 
behind it, so pick up enough speed and also for the second ramp. Continue to 
the left and jump over another ramp. The last ramp on the left needs the 
biggest jump, so make the jump with as much speed as possible to get to the 
roof of the parking garage. Get out of your own car and get into the indicated 
terrain vehicle. Drive down using the ramps inside until you get downstairs, 
there you need to drive through the gate on the right calmly after the guards 
raise the bars. Hurry to the indicated garage on your map, you need to get 
there before the time on your screen runs out. On your way there you’re 
allowed to damage the car or get the police to chase you, as long as the car 
can still drive and ends up at the garage without cops following you. Talk to 
the guy in the booth and drive the terrain vehicle inside. The timer is 
restarted and you need to bring back the car to where you got it within this 
time limit. This time a bar is in the top left of the screen, it will empty by 
having accidents and that’s not good. So drive neatly but with speed and make 
sure you don’t cause a chase by the police. At the parking garage, enter 
through the gate on the right and get to the top floor, park the car inside 
the yellow glow. To get out of here you can get into another car and drive of 
the roof using the ramp.

Start this mission by walking outside your Safe House and stepping inside the 
yellow glow there. First pick up the weapons that have become available inside 
your Safe House. The yellow arrow on your map is Martinez’ convoy, the yellow 
dot is the location where you need to go. During this mission you can complete 
or fail multiple objectives. If you don’t it’s not a disaster, but it does 
affect the ending of the mission. Your goal is to get there before they convoy 
reaches the yellow dot, so get over there and park inside the yellow glow. 
Press R3 when Candy gives the signal to bring down the billboard. Then you 
need to chase the convoy and blow up the car you fitted with a bomb in the 
previous mission when you get close enough. So follow the convoy and Candy 
will give the signal to press R3 when you are within reach. This will take out 
the car, but Martinez has more protection. The annoying thing at this point is 
that his convoy will probably take the same bridge as you to get to Queens. So 
you need to get in front of him, try to do that from a distance and with as 
less damage as possible. When you stay too close to them for too long they 
will destroy your car and you will lose speed. Once in Queens you need to get 
over to the yellow dot at the indicated bridge. Get out of your car here and 
place the bomb with R3 when standing inside the yellow glow. Drive over to the 
next yellow spot past the bridge where you can blow up the bomb as soon as 
Candy gives you permission to do so. When this works, Martinez’ car will get 
separated from the rest of the cars. If any of the things up until now fails, 
Martinez will have more protection in the rest of the mission. He will take a 
detour to the gas station, so you have some time to get there sooner than him. 
Place the bomb on the tanks here on foot and let it explode from within the 
other yellow glow when Candy tells you to. If this doesn’t work, you’re on 
your own to chase Martinez’ car and put it to a stop. If it does work Martinez 
will be lured to the ambush, so get over there and wait inside your car until 
Martinez gets there. Your team will fire at the opponents, get out of the car 
yourself and take out the enemies around Martinez’ limousine. Get inside the 
car as soon as this is possible and use the alley that brought you here to 
escape. With Martinez in the back of the car, drive over to the indicated spot 
pretty far away. It’s best to avoid the police, take another route if 
necessary to prevent a hard chase. If this does happen, just keep going 
towards the goal and try to drive around the block a couple of times to get 
rid of them. Drive the car into the terrain with the yellow dot and the 
mission is complete. It might be possible that you need to get away from the 
police after finishing the mission.

You start this mission from within the Safe House and you have five minutes to 
get to the indicated parking garage. So run outside and take your time to get 
a fast and good car. It might take a couple of extra seconds, but this will 
pay off on your way there. Make sure you’re not being chased by the police 
when getting to the indicated location and drive to the roof using the ramps 
inside the parking garage. Get out of the car and get on the bike with the 
ransom. Hit the gas after the cut scene and use the ramp to jump to the next 
roof. You can follow the whole route across the rooftops, but you need to 
steer to avoid walls and get to ramps to do this. If this goes right you will 
almost end up at the right location. Falling down is not a big problem, but 
you do have the chasing cars on your tail sooner. Get onto the construction 
area at the indicated location and step inside the yellow glow to take place 
in the back of the truck. You’ll take control of a weapon you need to use take 
out the opponents and the chasing cars. The danger comes from the shooting 
people in the car, but it’s still best to just aim at the car’s engine to get 
rid of them in that way. You’ll have to do this fast though, you won’t 
complete the mission when the meter I the top left is empty. If you do make it 
you’ll suddenly end up on the street again, so quickly steal a car to get away 
from the chasing cars and get to the final location.

\ R / THE MEXICAN /

This is the first mission in the modern time and you can start it at the 
yellow glow near the point where you’re standing when getting back the 
controls after all the cut scenes. After the introduction you need to get 
inside a car as quickly as possible, preferably a fast one. Your goal is to 
end up at the destination at the end not so far apart from the train. You 
don’t have to follow the tracks closely, you can also figure out your own 
route. If you do decide to stay close to the tracks you can drive alongside 
them for pretty long sections, but do watch out for ramps and other obstacles. 
When you reach the end within the time limit you have to stay on the Mexican’s 
tail. He will flee into an amusement park, follow him inside and take on the 
many henchmen he has here. Carefully move around corners, always pick up the 
weapons of fallen enemies and don’t let enemy coming from behind containers or 
inside booths surprise you. Also watch out for health, you can find it at the 
beginning next to an Ice box and further ahead behind the Reflections building 
and even further down opposite the bumper cars next to an Ice box again near 
an open booth. Just before the cut scene in which you meet the Mexican again 
you can find more health in the corner next to an open booth. After the cut 
scene you first need to take out the enemies on the same level as you. Use the 
cover of the container and only pick up the two health packs when you really 
need them. Carefully shoot the enemies higher up one by one until the Mexican 
shows up. Try to lock on to him as a target and keep it locked, in that way 
you can always take cover and duck behind the container and also be able to 
shoot him whenever you pop up every now and then. You win if the Mexican goes 
down sooner than you do.

On your way to a new possible job someone tries to assassinate you, after 
which you are in a car to be able to start the pursuit. So follow the hit 
man’s car and try to get closer. Ray will shoot at him constantly when the car 
is within range, but do this yourself as well to do more damage. In the 
beginning the bar in the top left of the screen will not decrease, but it will 
happen when you damage the car more and the car will explode when the bar is 
completely empty. You might have drawn a lot of police attention, so now you 
need to get rid of it. So drive fast through traffic on your way to the final 
location and drive around the block if the police is still following you when 
you get there. You can only finish this mission without the cops chasing you.

After completing the Tailgate mission three new yellow dots will appear on 
your map, you can decide for yourself in which order you want to do them. This 
mission is the one next to the river near New Jersey. When you start this 
mission you will be ambushed by a few other cars with armed men in them. Your 
goal is to escape this ambush, so drive in the direction you came from to get 
off this terrain. Hit the two cars in the middle to get through them properly, 
do the same at the next pair of cars. Then you can head to the exit and start 
to work on shaking your pursuers. In the area there are entire terrains with 
buildings and routes between them that you can use to lose them. Of course 
you’re allowed to shoot at them, in that case you can just look them up and 
shoot at them. The mission is over when you are able to get away from them by 
defeating them or by getting a certain distance between you and them.

After completing the Tailgate mission three new yellow dots will appear on 
your map, you can decide for yourself in which order you want to do them. This 
is the mission you can start south of Ray’s garage in La Guardia. In the 
beginning of this mission you will again be bothered by armed men in cars. Try 
to lose them like in the last mission or just shoot at them again. When this 
is done you can return to the same yellow dot to continue the mission. Ray 
will supply you with a very fast and strong car which you’ll use in this 
mission. A timer will start and you need at the indicated location on your map 
before the time runs out. It’s one of Slink’s stores, drive inside through the 
windows and smash all the racks. Use your handbrake to make fast turns and to 
break down everything in the store until the bar is empty and you’re told to 
leave. A new timer will start, you need to be at the next store within this 
time limit. Repeat there what you just did and do the same to the third shop. 
When it is busted other cars will start a pursuit. They’re pretty hard to get 
rid of just by driving, so also try shooting to lose them and finish the 
mission.

After completing the Tailgate mission three new yellow dots will appear on 
your map, you can decide for yourself in which order you want to do them. This 
mission is the one west of Ray’s La Guardia garage. There are four identical 
cars on their way and three of them are just decoys. The other car is the one 
really carrying the drugs and this is the one you need to find. But no matter 
what you do, it’s always the last remaining car. So chase the car that’s the 
nearest to you and shoot at the driver. If you kill him behind the wheel you 
can get in the car right away, if he doesn’t die but gets out of the car you 
need to take him out first. So get into the dealer’s car and use it to race to 
the next one. In this way you have to take out the first three cars and get in 
range of the fourth one within the time limit. The timer will then disappear 
and you’ll have all the time you need to take out the entire car.

When you finish the Guardian Angel mission, two new missions will open up, 
pick the one to do first yourself. This is the mission that can be started at 
the yellow dot in Brooklyn. Maria is in the car that comes out of the gate and 
the goal is to follow and protect her. You need to start doing this not too 
much later. When the blockade appears you have to pull out your weapon to 
shoot at the enemies that get out. From the car you’ll be better protected and 
you can also drive over enemies that stand too for away from their car. If you 
need any health before you can continue, there’s a health pack on the sidewalk 
to the right of the blockade. Also don’t forget to pick up the weapons your 
enemies leave behind whenever you have time to do that. Get into a car again 
and continue to follow Maria through the city. Ahead the same thing happens 
again, so repeat the strategy to take down the opponents and again grab some 
health from the sidewalk on the right. After another drive you’ll come to the 
exact same situation, including the health on the sidewalk, but on a hill. At 
the next same situation the driver of Maria’s car gets killed. Make sure you 
get the situation under control and then get behind the wheel of the car Maria 
is sitting in. Now your only problem is the police, you need to lose them 
before arriving at the indicated location on your map. It doesn’t hurt to 
follow the train tracks, the space next to it is large enough to drive on and 
it’s easy to lose the cops there. Evade them for the rest of the route and 
deliver Maria to the location at the yellow dot.

When you finish the Guardian Angel mission, two new missions will open up, 
pick the one to do first yourself. This mission is the one that has the yellow 
dot on the northwestern corner of the eastern island. Head inside through the 
open door after starting the mission and step inside the yellow glow to get 
into the back of the truck. You’ll get a machinegun with unlimited ammunition 
and a grenade launcher with ten extra grenades. Multiple cars will follow you 
and both the passenger and driver will fire at you. Hit the engines hard with 
your machinegun, if you use the grenade launcher it doesn’t really matter 
where you hit the cars as long as they’re not too close to you. If you survive 
this part you need to drive the motorcycle yourself in the next part. First 
pick up the health at the corner of the building and then get on the bike to 
drive outside. The rest of the route you won’t be bothered anymore, unless you 
get the cops on you by speeding. That shouldn’t stop you from doing that 
though, now is your chance to drive fast on a cool motorcycle. On the straight 
sections, try to drive in the middle of the road on the dividing lines, you 
can go pretty fast there without the chance of crashing. When you come to the 
house where you need to deliver the motorcycle, drive through the entrance on 
the other side of the terrain. The gate will open and the garage too, park the 
bike inside there.

After completing the mission named Rush Hour you will unlock three new 
missions and you can complete them in any order you want. This mission can be 
started in Harlem and the goal is to chase down Slink and take him out. If you 
still have some grenades left this can be done pretty quickly. Make sure you 
hit him with it why he’s going down the sloping road. While the car is trying 
to correct itself and stands practically still, hit it again full on to finish 
the job. If this doesn’t work or when you don’t have any grenades you will 
have to chase Slink for a long time and shoot at him with your strongest 
weapons when he’s in range. Meanwhile more of Slink’s henchmen will follow 
you. Try to ignore them as long as they’re behind you. When the meter in the 
top left is empty, Slink’s car will be destroyed. It might be possible that he 
and some passengers will step out of the car, in that case you need to watch 
out that they don’t kill you and it’s best to take some distance and drive 
over them. The mission is accomplished when Slink is dead.

After completing the mission named Rush Hour you will unlock three new 
missions and you can complete them in any order you want. This mission can be 
started in the south of Manhattan. The goal here is to screw up Bishop’s drugs 
business. Three locations are marked on your map and that’s where drug 
operations are being performed. You need to drive over to a location, make 
sure you get the police on your tail along the way and then get to the 
specific location to drive through the yellow glow there. That way you will 
leave the cops with the criminals and you can take off. At every location an 
escape is possible by driving off a roof or over a ramp. You only have eleven 
minutes and to be as fast as possible it’s best to first head west and work 
your way to the east through each location. Between them it’s a good idea to 
switch cars and lose the heat they have, you won’t be bothered by the police 
that much and when you attract a new cop car they won’t be very aggressive 
right away. The mission is completed when you have brought the police to all 
three locations, but you’ll probably need to get rid of them after that.

After completing the mission named Rush Hour you will unlock three new 
missions and you can complete them in any order you want. This mission can be 
started by getting inside the terrain vehicle which is parked inside the 
hangar west of Ray’s garage at La Guardia. The entrance to that hangar is on 
the northern side and when you step inside the car you’ll notice that it’s 
another trap. Quickly drive off and to the right. At the exits right in front 
of you, bump the left truck backwards so that you can go through. Move to the 
left and through the fence so that you can drive over the ramp in the back 
left with enough speed to clear the next fence. Two cars will follow you, turn 
around using the handbrake and shoot at them with your best weapon. Make sure 
the cars don’t explode while they’re close to your own car. As soon as both 
cars have been taken care of, follow the route back to Ray’s garage that’s 
also indicated. At the bridge you’ll come to a blockade formed by cars, smash 
through it on the right side along the wall and continue your route. Park the 
car inside the yellow glow at the garage to complete the mission.

If you complete all the previous missions in the above order this mission will 
become available right after Riding Shotgun and can be started in the 
northeast of New Jersey. In the cut scene you can see that some kind of drug 
is inserted into you. At the beginning this won’t bother you too much, so 
quickly get into a fast car parked in front of the house and start the 
pursuit. Try to get to the same road as Candy as soon as possible. His car 
doesn’t move very fast, but the drugs will have a big impact on your visual 
capabilities and it gets worse. Try to stay on the right to avoid head on 
collisions, but do go over to the left every now and then to overtake some 
cars. When Candy gets within range, use your best weapon to fire at his car. 
Stay near him and don’t lose him, when the meter in the top left corner of the 
screen is depleted by causing damage to the car it will explode and Candy is 
taken care of.

If you complete all the previous missions in the above order this mission will 
become available right after Shell Shock and can be started at the New Jersey 
text on the map. Drive over to the gate of Bishop’s house and drive around the 
house using the route to the left over passing through it. At the gate with 
the yellow glow there’s a motorcycle, get on it before entering the yellow 
glow. Bishop will show up in a tank, make sure you use the bike to get close 
to him quickly so that he can’t hit you. This fight can be fought in two ways. 
Of you still have a rocket launcher or grenade launcher you can already fire 
at Bishop easily, you just have to make sure you’re not too close to him. If 
you don’t have any of these weapons you can get off the bike and look for 
grenade launcher ammunition in the grass between the walls. Health is also 
spread out in the grass in case you need it. The walls will provide cover, but 
not protection when standing to close next to them. So make sure the wall 
stays between you and the tank so that you can’t get hit, but don’t stand 
directly against it. Wait for the moments when the tank has just fired and 
it’s safe to show up briefly and fire a grenade at it. If you manage to do 
that three times, the tank and Bishop along with it will be defeated.

After defeating Bishop two more missions will be added to your map, decide for 
yourself which one you want to do first. This mission is started by going to 
the yellow dot in the northwestern corner of the park in Harlem. On your map a 
location will appear where Corrigan’s limousine is currently at. Head over 
there and it will depart with two more police cars when you get close to it. 
Aim with L1 and make sure you target the driver of the limousine by using the 
analog stick. Shoot him but try to avoid hitting the tires. When this driver 
is dead, park close to the car and get into the limousine while the police is 
still shooting at you. Turn around and drive to the bridge which is the 
closest to the location where you need to be. Shake the cops and neatly drive 
the limousine through the gate at the front of the house when you get there 
and then park it inside the garage. The meter in the top left corner of the 
screen can not be empty before you get here. If necessary there’s some health 
for you in the garage. Switch to your best fast firing weapon while still 
inside and then go through the door in the corner. Kill the man in the booth 
to the left, there’s some health inside in case you need it later. Shoot 
whoever you see past the gate, but first go to the building opposite the 
garage and shoot the guy over there. There’s even more health here and also a 
mini gun, use it from this point on and head through the gate you walked past 
just now. Try to shoot all the men on the open area behind it from here. To 
the left is another building with a man inside, including some health. Then go 
to the right side of the house, first take out whoever is outside and then the 
two guys in the little building. Don’t forget to pick up the weapons of 
defeated opponents if you need them. Now run down along the right side of the 
house while killing any remaining enemies on the terrain. Quickly take out the 
guy in the building so that you can take cover inside there and pick up 
health. On the back side of the house there’s a balcony with another enemy on 
it, take him out and you probably defeated everyone necessary to make the cops 
show up. Get into any car on the terrain and drive it back to the main 
entrance. Smash through the gate and the blocking cars and try to escape from 
them using the small paths between the houses in this area. The mission is 
accomplished as soon as you aren’t followed anymore.

After defeating Bishop two more missions will be added to your map, decide for 
yourself which one you want to do first. This mission starts at the yellow dot 
in the middle of Manhattan. After the start the gate will open, walk inside 
and ignore the cop that pulls his gun. Just go to the left up the ramp and get 
inside the cop car ahead. Drive back down and off the terrain, then on to the 
indicated police station. There you need to head into the parking garage and 
park into Corrigan’s parking space in the back left. The lift to the right of 
it will open, so step inside to go up. There’s a guard in the hallway to the 
left, shoot him and duck inside the office space to the left while the alarm 
goes off. There are innocent people inside this building, you don’t have to 
take them out. Walk through the office around the obstacles and leave it 
through the door on the other side. Take out the two cops in the neighborhood 
and continue through the hallway to the left. There is another guard around 
the corner, you can find health both in the room on the left and the one on 
the right. Head left at the intersection and continue on until you get to the 
indicated spot in Corrigan’s office. Place the bomb with R3 and follow the 
exact same route back to the elevator. You’ll face heavy opposition, so use 
your best weapon and pick up the health you didn’t pick up earlier. When you 
pass through the office space that brings you back to the elevator it’s best 
to duck right inside that elevator and evade the special forces in this 
hallway. In the parking garage, get into the car to your right quickly and 
drive off. If you’re not able to go underneath the closing shutter, drive 
around killing the cops and then shoot the shutter controls so that it opens 
again. The whole route through the garage consists of this kind of shutters, 
police cars that block your way and shooting policemen. As long as you manage 
to pass by the shutters, the policemen won’t be much trouble, but if you don’t 
manage that you will have to take them all out to be able to destroy the 
control panel again. You don’t want to become stuck at the last shutter, the 
opposing force there is just too great. Once outside you still need to lose 
the cops to successfully complete the mission.

You can only do this mission after completing all the previous missions. 
Before you start the mission in the northwestern corner of the park in Harlem 
it is wise to pick up the necessary weaponry inside your Safe House and also 
restore your health if it’s not completely full. Once the mission starts, get 
your hands on a fast car to get to the indicated location within the time 
limit. Shoot the guy near the yellow glow there and head into that alley 
around the house. Shoot another man in the alley and head over to the entrance 
at the back of the house. There’s an enemy inside the washing room, shoot him 
and continue to the left. In the first side room is some health, more in the 
last room and at the end of the hallway to the left, but there’s also an 
enemy. When he is taken care of, head round the corner to the right and 
through another hallway with an opponent that brings you to some stairs in the 
back left. There is more health underneath the stairs. Climb the stairs and 
head into the hallway. Both on this side and on the other side of the broken 
floor are enemies, shoot them and head over to the left of that broken floor. 
Shoot your way through the many opponents and check the rooms for health 
before going up the stairs in the corner where Corrigan went up as well. After 
the cut scene this is a dead end, so follow the entire route back through the 
building. In the room past the last stairs more enemies will come running up 
to you, mow them down one by one as quickly as possible. There is more health 
in the room in the back right a little head and of course on the locations 
where you didn’t pick it up on your way in. When you get outside eventually a 
timer of four minutes is started and you need to chase Corrigan. Before you 
can do that you first need to take down the enemies in the alley and a couple 
of cops around the police cars. But try to get inside a car as soon as 
possible and drive off to chase down Corrigan. Keep an eye on his helicopter 
using your map and drive in the same direction. Eventually you’ll come to a 
tunnel and Corrigan will give the order to blow it up. A shorter timer will 
start and you need to get out of it on the other side before the time is up. 
So evade the falling debris, sometimes driving slowly is better than hitting 
debris at full speed. The debris falls down where you can see the dust just 
before it happens, but the rocks can also fall apart on the floor. If you 
manage to get out of the tunnel in time there is no timer anymore and it’s 
time to actually take out Corrigan. Equip your best weapon that can be used 
from within a car and shoot at the helicopter whenever it’s in reach. Keep 
steering and following him while firing. If you need another car it is 
possible to switch, but you do it fast enough to not lose the helicopter. 
After doing enough damage, the helicopter will come down and everything is 
over.

The third Driver wasn’t very good and that’s too bad, because the series had a 
good reputation. Fortunately it seemed to go well with this fourth Driver 
right from the start and I’m very glad after completing this game. Nice 
movies, a good story, cool missions, all very complete. It might have a little 
Grand Theft Auto to it here and there, Driver is back and it was fun writing 
for this game.
