2. About This Guide [02A1]
===============================================================================
This is a guide that will fill you in on where to find each and every Melodia
Idol so that your data is that much more complete.

What is a Melodia Idol?
-=-=-=-=
One of the minor features of LostWinds is collecting shiny relics called
Melodia Idols. These Melodia Idols are scattered throughout the places you
explore, and there are 24 of them in all. They serve no real purpose other than
for completionists who like to explore all the areas to their fullest.

Terms Used
-=-=-=-=
These terms are used throughout the guide which may help you better understand
where and how to retrieve certain Melodia Idols.

-- Toku
Toku is the main protagonist. He is who you, the player, control.

A ball that reacts to the power of Vortex, creating a high resonance frequency.
-- Stone Door/Circular Stone Door
These doors are opened by either a lock with a circular handle or a pressure
pad.

Mysterious relics scattered across the land. They are simply collectibles that
help keep track of the areas you have visited, as a Melodia Idol can be found
in each area.
-- Wooden Barrier
A barrier made of wood. It can be removed by burning it with fire from a nearby
torch.
----
Powers

distances.
-- Slipstream
This power enables Enril to create slipstreams that guide Toku and objects
along specific paths.

A cape given to Toku by Deo that allows him to glide across long distances
high and far.

The following guide reveals the location of each and every Melodia Idol and
essentially how to obtain them in sequential order. They are further kept track
of by distinct location and ulimately by memory chests.

Before the First Memory Chest
-=-=-=-=
----
Wither Falls
----
1. After increasing Enril's strength, lift Toku onto the ledge on the left side
of the room. You will spot a Melodia Idol.
2. After exiting the room where you increase Enril's strength, head right to
the narrow ledge just past the fruit. A Melodia Idol sits on top of the ledge.
----
Hilltop Village
----
3. In the left area of Hilltop Village, just outside of Wither Falls, climb the
trees by using the nests until you reach a Poyak. Use the Poyak and gust Toku
to the ledge on the right to find a Melodia Idol.
----
Wither Falls
----
4. At the far left Wither Falls, use the Poyak and gust Toku onto a surface
where a lock can be found. Pull on it to open the circular stone door below
that gives way to a Melodia Idol.
----
Shrine of the Meandering Wind
----
5. After receiving the power of Slipstream, pick up the Heli-Bud on the left
side of the room after burning down the wooden barrier with the torch, and draw
a slipstream path up towards the middle of the ceiling. Continue up and into
another part of the room where a Melodia Idol sits behind a wooden barrier.
Burn it down with the torch in the back area to collect the Melodia Idol.
----
Wither Falls
----
6. At the very top of the giant grotto where Toku had fallen to discover Enril,
pick up the Heli-Bud and draw a slipstream path to the other side of the gap
where you will find a Melodia Idol.
----
Hilltop Village
----
7. To the right of the great windmill in the west district of Hilltop Village
(the district immediately east of the area where Deo is located), pick up the
Heli-Bud and draw a slipstream up and to the right. You will spot a Melodia
Idol sitting on a platform.
8. At the top left of the east district of Hilltop Village, gust Toku up onto
the stone platform above the waterfall in the background. A Melodia Idol sits
contently upon the platform.
----
The Cave
----
9. Drop to the bottom of the cave that leads to the Chamber of Memories, and
locate the mushroom near the base. You will find a well-hidden Melodia Idol to
the right of the mushroom and behind a small patch of fungi in the foreground.
----
Chamber of Memories
----
10. To the left of the monument of Deo, you will spot a Melodia Idol sitting on
the ground.
=-=-=-=-
After the First Memory Chest
-=-=-=-=
----
The Old Mines
----
11. After receiving the power of Vortex, follow the mine to the left until you
come upon a fruit bathed in light. A Melodia Idol lies on the ground in the
light.
12. In the vast area of the mine, located the only wooden barrier. Burn it
using the torch in the room behind it to give way to a Melodia Idol.
13. In the vast area of the mine, gust the Wind Stone to the very top where a
crystal barrier blocks a path to the left. Use the power of Vortex on the Wind
Stone to break the crystal barrier and create a path to an enclosed room in
the Vortex Shrine. A Melodia Idol is all that is found in this small space.
14. In the main entrance to the mine is a room blocked off by two crystal
barriers. Use the Wind Stone located inside the room to break the barriers and
retrieve the Melodia Idol inside.
15. In the area beyond the crystal gate, use the Kalarab near the entrance to
break the wooden gate at the bottom of the area. Then, retrieve the boulder on
a platform above, bring it through the wooden gate and place it on one of the
two pressure pads. Take the fruit and place it on the other to open both
ceiling gates. Gust Toku up and around to the other room where a Poyak is, as
well as a Melodia Idol in the corner. You can also use just the fruit, but
getting around may be slightly more tedious.
16. In the area with a narrow stream, retrieve the Heli-Bud seed located at the
bottom right. Bring it back to the entrance of the area and plant it. Then, use
the power of Slipstream to draw a path as far up as you can. At the top on a
rail platform is a Melodia Idol.
17. In a small space above the pressure pad just before the only circular stone
door rests a Melodia Idol. This is the same area where the second memory chest
is located.
=-=-=-=-
After the Second Memory Chest
-=-=-=-=
----
Hilltop Village
----
18. Upon receiving the Jumbrella Cape, glide Toku onto a cliff above the house
where Deo is located. You will find a Melodia Idol here.
----
Wither Falls
----
19. In the cave area directly west of where Toku was resting under a blossom
tree, drop to the bottom where you will find a wooden gate. Break the wooden
gate using the boulder in the vicinity and the power of Vortex to find a
Melodia Idol on the other side.
20. At the top right of the same area where Toku was resting under a blossom
tree, use the Jumbrella Cape to glide Toku above the torch where a Melodia Idol
sits on the steep mountainside.
21. At the top left of the main area of Wither Falls is a Melodia Idol. To get
it, break the brittle rock surface below using the boulder in the same room.
Then, use the mushroom below it to bounce Toku up into the room to retrieve the
Melodia Idol.
22. In the same area where the third memory chest is located, use the Jumbrella
Cape to glide Toku up against the cliff to the right. You will spot a Melodia
Idol on the side of the cliff near the peak of the cape's power, so it may be
slightly difficult to obtain.
=-=-=-=-
After the Third Memory Chest
-=-=-=-=
----
The Abandoned Village
----
23. Near the entrance of the Abandoned Village and in a small space under the
Heli-Bud is a Melodia Idol resting beside a patch of harmful roots.
24. In the same area where the fourth and final memory chest is located, place
a boulder on the pressure pad at the bottom right of the area to open the stone
door above. Behind this door lies the final Melodia Idol in the corner of the
room.

Idols that are to be found within each.
