Asked on: 9/1 1:30PMI'm trying to get all the pokemon character trophies in classic mode, but I keep getting the pokemon trainer one. I select the different pokemons in the select character screen, and the name changes as well, but when I beat the game, I get Ash over and over again.
Tried doing the Samus Zero trick, holding R as I start the game, but it doesn't work.
What am I doing wrong? >_>

It will only show the trainer trophy after you beat classic mode. You will also get the trophy of the Pokemon that you used to clear the last fight with. So lets say you used Ivysaur to beat Master Hand, you would get both Ivysaur and the trainer trophies. You would need to clear classic mode again making sure that you beat master hand as Charizard and then again beating him as Squirtle to get all three of the Pokemon trophies.

statusYou are getting the pokemon trophies, but since Pokemon Trainer is part of the character, he appears as the trophy. In short beat the game using each pokemon and you have them, plus the pokemon trophies from the coin shooter........you have a long way to go.
When you clear classic mode it only shows you getting the trainer trophy but you also get the trophy of the pokemon you killed master hand with.
You must clear Classic mode with each of Pokemon Trainer's three Pokemon. When I say clear Classic mode, I mean deliver the final, killing blow to Master Hand (or Crazy Hand) with all three Pokemon. This means you must clear it three times and kill Master Hand once with Ivysaur, once with Squirtle, and once with Charizard. It will only show the Pokemon Trainer trophy in the short cinematic immediatly after the fight, but you will have gotten the trophy of the Pokemon you killed MH with. Double check your trophy screen to see who are you missing.
For All-Star mode, you only need to clear it once, as you get a Final Smash trophy that encompasses all three Pokemon.
