The Wii remote turns off when I start a Gamecube game and when I press a button the blue light flashes for a second but it remains off. Is there a way to return to the home menu or do I just have to turn the Wii off and then eject the disc (which is what I've been doing)?
You have to turn the power off and start it back up to get to the Wii Menu after playing a gamecube game.

status.I've been doing the exact same thing as you. The only thing I haven't tried is pushing eject while the game's running (didn't dare), but if that doesn't work, I don't think there's a way.
