What games do they mean when they say "FE#" ?

I know, as is usually the case, that there are waaaaay more FE games in JP than there are over here. But, when people refer to the games as FE3 or FE6, what do they mean? How do the #s correspond to the game titles?

Answer

The number's don't actually refer to the game titles, they refer to which game that is in the series. For example, Radiant Dawn is FE10, as it is the tenth game released in the series. FE1 would be the first, FE4 the fourth, and so on.
