There is an easier way to beat it. (4 steps)
1. From the start after the patient is cut open, use the Healing Touch
2.Remove the ALL of the Thorns first
3. Remove the Triangles
4. Stich the patient closed.....
simple but might take a try or two...it the easiest way

statusThere is video on youtube that explains how Triti works that I would recommend checking out:

In case the video ever ends up inaccessible I'll explain here anyways.
As stressful as the Triti missions can initially seem, one should never panic when things don't go well or when the situation can begin to look overwhelming. The reason I say this is that with Triti you can actually leave the membrane collection alone and it will never multiply, so you can feel free to take a brief break during the operation in order to plan out your attack strategy on the thing.
Another thing you can use to your advantage is the fact that Triti won't multiply any further than the edge of the infected organ, therefore making it possible to corner it. With that in mind you now know to target the Triti portions found out toward the center of the organ.
Triti multiplies during triangle piece removal, when two thorns from of a remaining triangle are connected by a side of that remaining triangle that is not adjacent to another triangle. In other words, the triti expands to any empty spaces that are adjacent to triangle pieces with two nearby thorns. With this in mind, de-thorn in a manner that no longer leaves the thorns in pairs, while ignoring any thorns along the outside edge of the organ and any thorns found within triangle clusters as they have no open spaces to expand to.
Throughout the operation you will encounter small infectious gas clouds, don't let it immediately distract you and continue to finish working on whatever piece you are working on before you suck up the cloud. Those sorts of clouds usually linger for a fair amount of seconds before becoming troublesome, only immediately drop what you are doing if a cloud already appears to be nearing the edge of the organ.
As you progress to hacking down a Triti cluster away keep in mind that you should try to never leave an isolated triangle alone as it will instantly multiply a lot the very moment that triangle forms a thorn. Therefore, never isolate any individual triangles until you have about two conjoined triangle pieces from a cluster remaining. Once you are down to two such pieces, and to prevent one from spawning more as you remove the other, it is best to wait until all four thorns are formed (so that one thorn won't surprisingly form early as you remove one triangle) before proceeding to quickly de-thorning all four and removing the two triangular pieces.
Good luck.
