Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles

I myself haven't played the game, but I've viewed most of the game being played. It's my understanding that you get a checkpoint about halfway between most, if not all, of the levels. If you die or quit, I believe you can resume from that checkpoint.

xboxboy is PARTLY correct.

on some levels, if you die, you can start again near where you die, well away from the chechpoints. These are usually, however, QTE moments, but sometimes getting killed by monsters will have a similiar effect, though I am unsure. In order to actually QUIT without starting over, you MUST make it to the checkpoint.

Both of these people confused me so let me try the game is has checkpoints so if you die before a checkpoint your at the beginning but sometimes you get a checkpoint the games dosent show (normally right before the end level boss or a action sequence) after a checkpoint if you die you go back to the checkpoint i enjoyed this game so have fun bringing down umbrella or there is no future (takin from the game box)

the people above forgot to mention tha you only get 3 lives, before you get the game over screen and have to continue, though it mostly just puts you right back at the checkpoint. The big difference is that you basically have 3 lives to take down/learn the boss strats, if you die all 3 times then you start back over from the checkpoint again, this time the boss being back at full health etc, the items respawn after a continue only also such as herbs, ammo, etc. Some bosses are easy to figure out, some are hard, it's somewhat fun, if you havn't already beat RE0, and ven then the HOTDness of it makes it a bit more fun. I personally liked Resident Evil: Dead Aim on the ps2 better. You gotta love Guncon games, without them the wiimote zappers wouldn't exist, but then without duck hunt neither would Time Crisis, or Ninja Relex respectively.

The game is basically auto save at the checkpoints....if you die without a first-aid spray befor the checkpoint, you start from the begining, if youj die before the checkpoint after using a first aid spray, you start from the begining, you die after the checkpoint, you start from the checkpoint
