Animal Crossing: City Folk
Question from khmr33
Asked on: 1/6 6:33PMIf I've already bungled time traveling and lost turnips, and I'm not sure if my bad turnip prices this week were from tting or if it was a mountain pattern, how long will it take for the bad effects to blow over?
Additional details - 1/6 7:35PM
The TTing was not intended to manipulate turnip prices. My wife tt'd back two hours today because she thought Kicks left at 5:00pm and really wanted to fix her shoes. She thought the Wii system clock was a safe method.
I just don't want to buy turnips this sunday if my prices have a chance to continue being punished.
If you time traveled and the game detected this then Joan will not have any red turnips for sale. If you time traveled backwards and start the game it will set this time as the last time played. If you then time travel forwards it will think that it is normal play. If Joan still does not have red turnips then it detected time travel during the week. You have to time travel another week forwards. Joan should now have red turnips and not detected time travel.
The game has a number of equations for turnip prices for the week including Joan's price. It randomly picks which equation/parameters for the week. Sometimes you get a spike week and sometimes the steady declining value week. I found it to be random even after time traveling backwards.

statusI have also realized this with time travelling, but,if you're really needing to get rid of some turnips, just post a message asking for a town with high turnip prices.
