The Wii can play GameCube games. The Virtual Console, part of the Wii Shop Channel, allows you to purchase and play games from classic video game systems, including NES, Super NES, Master System, Genesis, Nintendo 64, TurboGrafx-16.

statusYou can't play ds games on the wii, but some ds games can be linked to the wii, like how pokemon diamond and pearl can be linked to pokemon for the wii. Using the Nintendo channel on the wii, you can also download demos of games to the ds wirelessly.
To answer the other part of your question, yes, you can play gamecube games on the wii. There are slots on the top of the wii for gc controllers and memory cards
