Low batteries is a common cause of that.

statusPossible reasons:
1. Your batteries need replaced.
2. You are inadvertently causing the power button on the board to be hit, either with your foot or by sinking the board into the carpet.
3. Your board is just on the edge of signal range, and your movements are enough to interfere (highly unlikely)
4. You have a damaged board that loses power with your movements.
I'd check to make sure it isn't the first three (change the batteries, move your board closer to the sensor bar and make sure nothing could be interfering, and check to make sure the power switch isn't being toggled), then if it's still not working call Nintendo regarding warranty service.
