OK, we all know the only point of this game is to get Mew, but I was wondering if you can trade in-game to trigger the trade-only evolutions. Thx in advance

Doubtful. It only works in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum trades.
But it wouldn't hurt to try it.
