If i'm using a weapon without any elements with it and i equip one that does as a sub weapon would i be able to use the sub weapon for the brush technique?
So you're asking if your subweapon is elemental but your main weapon is not, can you use the subweapon as an element conductor? The answer is no. You can only use weapons to conduct elemental brush strokes when that weapon is in the primary slot.

statusThe weapon must be on Amaterasu's back for it to be accesible by the brush. If a subweapon, it will not be on Amaterasu's back therefore it would not suffice as a elemental conductor, unfortunately.
