Rampage: Total Destruction
Review by Obeliskos
"The first review, and it's a 10. Weird. Where are the other 10's? Oh, that's right. There are none. Why? Hmmm..."
Rampage: Total Destruction is one of the most underrated games of all time. Let me explain why.
Gameplay: 10/10
Rampage: Total Destruction is a great party game, where you and your friends can get together and go on a rampage. It's a fun, addicting party game. It's got the old school "Rampage" and "Rampage: World Tour." It's like a whole new rampage, with at least 40 monsters! This game is bound to have you playing it for more than a day or two. You're going to be unlocking the secret characters for days! Whew. That's a load off my back. Let's continue.
Story: 8/10
Basically, a company sells a product called Scum Soda, which mutates 40 people into monsters. That's the story for the entire series. Meh. Whatever. It doesn't suck, but... Yeah. Not too great. It just explains where the monsters come from, so that's good.
Graphics: 10/10
The graphics are about as good as a Rampage game gets. Not the best graphics, but when it comes to the Rampage series, the best thus far. Monsters are finely sculpted and as awesome looking as ever. Buildings are very nice. People and cars look great -- Especially since you can grab them, then throw them. As for people, you can also eat them. Mmmmm. Sporty.
Sound/Music: 9/10
First of all, the sound. Now, I'm not one of those guys who make a big deal out of sounds, but the sounds in this game are just plain crude. Burping, farting, vomiting. Truly, a game for teens with bad taste when it comes to what they hear. Sometimes, you just gotta tune the sounds out. Otherwise, the sounds are great. You hear the people screaming, yelling, talking, even taking pictures of your monster destroying their town. Sirens blaring, explosions, guns firing, etc. I think they covered the sounds you monster doesn't make very nicely. The music rules. It's like rock music and heavy metal. Not a lot to say about the music (aside from how much it rules), so let's move on.
Replayability: 10/10
If you're one of those people who just have to get everything in a game, you're going to be occupied for a long, long time. Trust me. Let's just leave it at that. You'll see... If you play the game.
Buy or Rent?
It's up to you. I say buy. It's a game that'll last you longer than most games. Plus, it's addictive and fun. I suggest buying it. It'll be worth the $30. Hint, hint. Nah, it's up to you.
