Excite Truck
Review by MicroProject
"Cool, Crazy, and energetic."
Introduction
The reason why I say this Game is crazy is because it is! When you first get the hang of the tutorials in the beginning, you really wanna get into the real racing abilities and start to get used to it. When I first bought this game, I didn't know how the controller was supposed to be held in the hand while driving and all, but after I learned, I loved it =)
So if you're really bored of those old games while holding onto the Analog Stick side to side to steer and feel like you are a professional at driving, then read the review and lets see what you now feel about this game.
Game Play `-` 8/10
Some people get a little too used to controlling and steering the car using an Analog Stick, so they buy a Classic Wii Controller and play this game regularly. If you're into new styles and really want to feel like you are steering for real, then you're lucky because this is all for you.
First of all, the buttons 1 and 2 on the Wii Controller control the Acceleration, but are you wondering about the steering? Before I tell you how, I must tell you how to even hold the Wii Controller in Hand if you aren't using the Classic Wii Controller. When you hold the Wii Controller regularly, you turn the top part so it faces your left. Now, the 4 Direction Buttons might be on your left fingers, but no...that isn't how you steer. You steer the controller! Yep, you steer the controller just like you steer a real handle in real driving.
Well of course, in my topic I did say this was energetic right? What I meant by that is the tricks. Of course a game with the name "Excite Truck", there's gotta be some kind of tricks eh? When holding the Wii Controller the way you are supposed to in this game, you can spin it forward a little and you will see that the car will go frontward in air. You can do this backwards too to hit the turbo! You can do 360 Degrees as well by turning the Wii Controller's left or right east/west. The Nunchucks are not used in Game play.
Graphics/Sounds `-` 7/10
The Graphics are pretty awesome, but the sounds...I don't think so. The sounds are a little good but get annoying because they're way to loud and stuff so they can get a little annoying. Not much to explain here IMO.
Play Time/Replay ability
After beating all levels, it says you have to be first place with over the points needed for every single level to advance which could take a pretty long time. I haven't beaten the game since I've been playing much more other games, so maybe this would take you 59 Hours (around that or maybe around 60 Hours) to beat it completely. The replay ability are probably the times when they ask you to get more points needed and be 1st in every single level. But if that is wrong, you will have to see for yourself.
Final Recommendation
If you want to steer like I said before, then you could buy this game for $50, but if the price gets lower...good for you. But in my opinion, you should buy this game to enjoy craziness.
