Wii Play
Review by Chaet_legend
"I don't see why you would buy it for 50 bucks..."
OK, so here we have it - the Wii. Good points? Quite efficient, and can sense your movements. Bad Points? Graphics. But who really cares about that...anyways, Wii Play is a game in which is said to be a "demo", to help you find your feet. Wii play is actually a game that many gamers would play for 1/2 an hour, and get throughly fed up. Unfortunately, the Wiimote Control is actually getting in the way of some of the games here, as in the bubbles minigame. Anyway, its all below. Take a look:
Gameplay: 6
So...you have to use your Wiimote to control your Mii's in things such as Ping Pong, Target shooting and Snooker. Each time you "finish" a stage (by failing it would you believe), you unlock the next. There are a total of 9 stages that can be unlocked, and there is some nostalgia in one of them (I won't spoil). Your Wiimote can really hinder you in this game, if you are like me, and cannot draw a straight line no matter how hard you try. The gameplay can get a bit tedious sometimes, too, ie, if you lose ONE ball at ping pong, you must quit that game and play a new one, instead of starting again at 0, in rallying. So this was actually rather disappointing.
Graphics: 7
Wii standard Graphics. Most of the time, they are 3-D, couple of stages up from the GC but down from PS3 kind of thing. Even then, some of the things are in 2-D and look like Super Nintendo Entertainment System standard (16 Bit). So, they are acceptable, but could have been better.
Use of Wiimote: 4
OK, the Wiimote is supposed to take you into virtual reality. This is a little hard to control, and therefore, taking all of the enjoyment out of this game. However, if you have perfect reflexes and a little patience, yuo may master this kind of thing.
Replayability: 3
Simply put, you likely won't want to play this thing again, unless you want to be a perfectionist and get every medal there is...
Rent or Buy: In every part of the world, you get this through the Wiimote. That is unless you are an American, in which, its coming out in February and at 50 bucks. Seriously not worth buying, but if you want to show off your reflexes, rent this game.
