Rampage: Total Destruction
Review by T_b0mb
"Rampage for the Wii? Now how can that work?"
If you've played one of the previous Rampage games, definitely get this one. But if you're a little hesitant read this review and you may want to get it!
Gameplay: 10/10
So what is 'Rampage: Total Destruction' even about? You choose one of the monsters and then a city. With that character you destroy the selected cities block by block. Along the way there are challenges that after being accomplished, can help your 'mutant' by giving extra points or a new attack. Food can be found in the buildings; certain foods heal your character's heal, but others harm it. Be careful for little humans and army trucks that may get in your way. At the end of each block, you are evaluated based on how much damage you did (how fun!)
Graphics: 8/10
From a Rampage game what would you expect? 2D-ish graphics and moving only right to left. But not in this game. In Rampage: TD, everything is 3D and you can finally move forwards in backwards. Although these graphics are the best of the Rampage games, they are as good as Gamecube graphics.
Story: 6/10
In the beginning of the game you see that a company is making a soft drink. Only 40 people have tested it and all of them have been turned into monsters. Its been the same thing for all Rampage games, but it doesn't affect how fun it is.
Sound 9/10
Gotta love the sounds in this game. Now what are the sounds in this game? Nope, its not any music. Its mostly farts, burps, and screaming. Other than that you can hear explosions, sirens, etc. But for whatever music there is, its pretty good. But, you wont even be paying attention to that.
Replayability: 10/10
The best part of this game. You can play it over and over and not get bored. Thats all I can say about it.
Extras: 10/10
'What? A rating for Extras?' Yep thats right. The extras in this game are so awsome that they get their own section. What may the extras be? Two past Rampage games. How awesome is that! You can play your new Wii Rampage on this PLUS two past rampage games.
Since Rampage: Total Destruction is only $30, buy it. Your also getting two games that could have been on the Virtual Console, meaning you would have to buy them, but instead they are being packaged in. Its about a $46 value for only $30.
With that being said, go buy this game. In my opinion this is, so far, the best Wii game out.
Overall: 10/10
