"All the Metal Slugs in a box?"

Ah yes all the Metal slugs in a box. A fan boy's dream. Finally every one can enjoy all the Metal Slugs which they thought were never coming because of Scea. Each game also has unlimited continues as well. The story line is different for some of the Metal Slug games but I'll just give a summary here for all of them. Metal Slug 1 is the game that started it all. You are Marco and your job is to stop Donald Morden (a tyrant?). Metal slug 2 and 3 are the same as Metal Slug 1. 4 is about cyber- terrorist wanting military secrets. 5 is about how another terrorist group wants the secrets of the Metal Slugs. 6 goes back to Donald Morden however a new alien race (more worse then the mars people) invades Earth. So now every one must pitch in to save Earth.

Game play 8/10: Since it is on the Wii, you are forced to use thw Wii mote. Al the games are generally the same. You move across the screen picking up weapons, throwing grenades and shooting basically any thing that crosses your path. In number 6 they added a few new things like you can switch weapons and you can use melee attacks.

Controls 7/10: There are different controller types of how to play this game. I chose the one where you just hold the Wii mote and play it. The D-pad is for moving, 1 is for shooting, 2 is for jumping, A is for changing weapons ( Metal Slug 6 only) and to use the melee combat move (Metal Slug 6) is the B button. To use the grenades you just flick the Wii mote.

Length 7/10: The Metal Slug game feels kind of short and long at the same time. Each game has about 5-6 missions, but the last mission is always long and tedious and thats why I say that.

This collection is ok. I wished for the extras that they allowed you to unlock the three different hand held Metal Slugs and or the 3-D version as well. However $40 is under priced for this collection (Metal Slug 6 only came out in September and it cost me like $64 alone).
