"One of the best anime games out there!"

One Piece: Unlimited Adventure is an adventure game for the Nintendo Wii.

Story: 8/10
Basically, the Mugiwaras find a treasure orb that sends them to an island and separates them. You start off as Luffy, but you eventually find the rest of your nakama. The story revolves around Popora, a bunny-like creature that was created to guard the orb. Some of these orbs show the flashbacks of the Mugiwaras before a boss fight, in which you fight the character centralized in the flashback. These bosses don't really have much purpose within the story, and they are just there to proceed within the game. The story is good, but it pails in comparison to the manga. It felt like Ganbarion just made this story as an excuse to incorporate villains from the series, but some people like the idea of fighting almost every villain the Mugiwaras have faced.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics are beautiful and the cutscenes are amazing. What prevented it from getting a perfect is that framerate of the game slows down when you get into fights. Although the framerate reduction doesn't disrupt the flow of the game, it becomes noticeable. When swaping between characters, there is also a rather long loading time.

Gameplay: 10/10
Basically, you go around the island, leveling up your characters, finding materials, fishing, making items, etc. The Wiimote wasn't used to its fullest potential (like we have seen in other Wii titles), but the usage that it had was perfect. You could fish with the Wiimote, along with use it like a net or a pickax. The controls aren't awkward at all when fighting (at least, from my experience). The boss fights are also fun and challenging. This game has a very nice level of difficulty. At the beginning, basically all the enemy units you face are easy to kill as they seemingly just stand there. However, as you progress, stronger enemy units appear, thus increasing the difficulty as you get stronger and more accustomed to the game.

Replay Value: 10/10
When you beat the game (as in, complete the story), you'll be around 50-60%. This means you have a little lower than half of the game in order to get 100%. It takes approximately between 50 to 70 hours to get 100%! This amount of playtime is longer than most RPGs, the genre of gaming that is supposed to be long! Not only does it have lots of playtime within the Adventure Mode, there are also other modes such as VS Mode and Survival Mode, which add even more playtime.

Final Score: 9/10
This game is a great game, but it isn't perfect. But then again, no game is perfect, so a 9/10 is just about as good as a 10/10. If you are wondering whether or not you should buy this game, definitely buy it.

If you are a fan on One Piece, get it.
If you are a fan of Adventure games, get it.
If you're not a fan of anime games or adventure games, get it and you're opinion on those genres will chance.
If you don't plan on getting this, why are you reading this review then? >_>
