"Good but Short"

Here's my review for Need for Speed Carbon for the Nintendo Wii.

Game play/Controls

The game play was pretty good in this game but the controls were only so-so.
The starting Controls for the game were a bit tough and I found myself crashing a lot. This one just takes a little getting used to but you'll get the hang of it. Luckily there are five different control schemes for the game. Personally I used controls number five as I thought it was easiest. I'm sure that the other controls are just as good.
Game play/Controls 7/10

Story

In the game you are a street racer who a long time ago was one of the best. While in a big race the cops show up and you're forced to flee the scene. Some years later you return to Palmont City and decide to redeem yourself by taking over the main four territories. Overall the story was pretty good.

Story 8/10

Graphics

The graphics of Need for Speed Carbon are what you'd expect with a little more for the Wii. Of course the Wii has the worst graphics of the main new three, I thought the graphics were really good for this game. The lights of the city and Cars were great. You could see the lights reflecting off the wet pavement in the city streets. The graphics were great.

Graphics 9/10

Sound

The sound was a lot like you'd hear on the city streets, you could here the car engine roaring and your driver shifting gears as it gained speed. You could also hear the sound of all the other cars also. Along with the great sounds of your car swerving around corners and whether or not you crashed or sped of to win your race sound was acceptable.

Sound 8/10

Cars

The cars in this game were great. The three classes had distinct qualities and the tiers made a big difference. The first class, Exotic, in my opinion is the best class, has a high top speed and medium handling and Acceleration. The second class, Tuner, has great handling but lower acceleration and top speeds. The last class, Muscle, has high acceleration but medium top speed and handling.

Overall Cars 9/10

Conclusion

Over all Need for Speed Carbon was a good buy for me but it was just a little short. It had great graphics for the Wii and I really liked the cars. I think it's weak point is it's controls which can be a bit hard to learn but that's what makes it fun
My score 8/10
